Man, I'm so glad I watched this review. This review alone sparked my desire to get a street motorcycle and I finally took the plunge. As of yesterday, I am now the owner of a 2015 White FZ-07 and her name is Pearl. Time to tear the road a new one. Keep up the good work Chase!
+Ian Postlethwait Hey man, I was just wondering how is the vibration on this bike? does the steering or seat get a lot of road/engine vibration or not? Also, do you use it as your daily commute, if so, then how is it? Also how are they breaks and shifting? I'm really liking this bike and want to get one! :D
+TheProphesizedWalnut I haven't gone too fast on the bike yet, but I have gotten up to highway speeds (75 to 80 mph) and the engine vibration is very negligible on the seat. Now with the steering and the grips I really don't know if it vibrates or not because I put some ProGrips on the bike before I even rode it anywhere. With the ProGrips however, there is little to no vibration through the handlebars. In terms of brakes they do there job very well. With that being said they are not carbon ceramics by any means but they get the job done in a hurry if you need to emergency brake. And don't forget that there is no ABS and these brakes like any other will punish you if you don't brake properly. The back brake is a bit squishy but not bad at all. The shifting is okay, it's flawless at higher speeds but when your going slow (35 or below) it can be a bit clunky. Overall this bike is unbeatable in the price range and if your considering one definitely go check one out and if you can, test ride it.
+Ian Postlethwait Thanks man, I really appreciate the feed back! I'm definitely booking this bike for next weekend to test ride it and see how it goes! How is it on corners by the way? I saw a video that said it's a bit weird feeling on corners at high speeds, is there truth to that?
For me I have to really be pushing it to feel any instability in it in the corners. It's nothing that makes you feel like your going to loose control of your bike but it just doesn't feel as planted as other bikes. For me its all in the front suspension, it's just a bit too soft but the rear preload springs work perfectly. And again I have to really be pushing it to feel any softness in the suspension. This could also do with the fact that I weigh only 150 lbs, so it might be more noticeable if you weigh more.
Fazer4Flight MotoVlogs Only downside is that there are no used ones on the market yet. I'm getting my first bike soon and i'm looking at the SV650 because there are so many of them to get used! (cost less and feel less bad if I accidentally drop it...)
CanadianBiker True. I would expect it will be another year or two before they start to enter the used market. Mostly because they are so damn fun and cheap.
CanadianBiker And I think that most people (and they are right!) buy used bikes as their first, less pain to your wallet if you drop it and you will, everyone did at the start :)
Really. I want a motorcycle that looks like a motorcycle, not a jet-ski. And I don't want to have to ride in a position that looks like I'm humping a pig. Naked is good.
ih8momjokes1 I have an opinion. So what? You have yours and I'm not telling you 'hey, what the fuck?' I don't like sport bikes and the little kiddies who ride them irresponsibly. I am very OK with sport bike riders who have grown up and aren't a blight on the motorcycling community. So, sue me or something for having an opinion.
Chase, Eco shows up on the dash when you're riding the bike in a manner that's not chewing through fuel. Basically it comes up when the motor is in the most economical rev range with little throttle input. I've managed 300km (185mi) out of my MT07 over here in Oz between refills.
This video was one of the several that helped make my decision to get the FZ-07. Have had it for about a month and just loving it! Looking forward to the 1000 mile maker to wrap up the braking-in period. Thank you for your time and effort.
Chase I cant tell you how helpful these bike reviews are! My CBR recently was totaled (damage was minimal but the labor/parts that were damaged from getting rear ended put it close to 75% of the bikes value) so now I'm in the market for a new bike - oh also the check they sent me....$3k more than what I paid for the bike! Lol so now I'm rewatching all your reviews.
Picked up my 2016 FZ07 in December last year. its my 5th motorcycle over the years. It's perfect for a city commuter with the occasional weekend twisties ride. Love this thing!
Chase i saw your video yesterday and today i went by my local dealer and put a 1500$ down payment on a black FZ-07 with the blue trims! I hope it comes in soon!!!
The black with blue highlights is the same one I'm getting in a couple months. :D I used to ride a 80's model Honda VF700c as a commute to college, so looking forward to having something more upright and maneuverable.
This is my favorite motorcycle review i have ever watched. Great comments and very candid, unlike the videos from those motorcycle magazines. I can't wait to get one of these when i get back from Korea.
Beginning of video: "I'm not trading in Holly, just giving it a test ride". End of video: "OMG holy shit I want this bike. It's so awesome." Goodbye Holly. lol
Chase... I bought one of these this past weekend and your review played a role in even considering it. Thanks a lot for all your vids and happy riding!
+clevs_is_me Honestly IF you have self control and respect the motorcycle, you can start on whatever CC you want. It will take time to get good, and most accidents you will have will be your own fault. So take your time, enjoy the ride, and only do whats comfortable to you. Don't try chasing after a 10+ year motorcycle vet on an r1, and you should be fine.
I'm going up to the International Motorcycle Show in DC in a couple of hours. I'll be looking, groping, sitting on, etc. one of these babies for certain while I'm there. If you've never been to one....go. Its a great way to see a bunch of bikes, gear, and accessories in a single trip. Great Vlog, Chase. I got a great 'feel' for the bike watching it. Shift with Pride.
So are you going to test ride an FZ-09??? There are quite a few people who are impressed with the FZ-07, and I'd be interested to see how you like the FZ-09.
I picked mine up last year ( within the first week of release ) opted for the Race Blu (that's Blu without the E for some reason ) A year later , this bike still rocks.... couldn't live with the stock ( sewing machine ) exhaust and upgraded to the akrapovic, probably an essential upgrade in my opinion... I like to be heard on the road aswell as seen... If any of you are considering this bike, I can happily recommend it.. I stopped riding around October / and brought it back out of hibernation easter just passed and i'm loving it right away... couple of mods - the akra with a modified baffle , R&G tail tidy - Yamaha rim tape and a Yamaha small smoked screen ( offers pretty much zero wind deflection but looks a lot cooler ( imo ) and stops bugs etc getting splattered all over the front section/key/back of the speedo.
+AfterBurn Gaming I personally own this bike it has been a great bike, I also bough a full akrapovic titanium exhaust system for the bike and now it is extremely loud.
Chase- love your channel, and, mostly- love your videos. I once posted a joke comment- and, offended your staunch defenders- so, I rarely post up. But, I really appreciate your input on the FZ-07, especially since you didn't research the bike before riding it. Your very positive input was genuine, and, it validated all of my thoughts as well. The comfort, the power, the slightly softer suspension- all agreed with. A little too quiet stock, but, very good fit & finish for a low cost bike- really a new version of the good ole SV650- which many of us have owned earlier in our riding careers. I'm thinking that it would make a great commuter AND weekend adventure bike, but, it will need a beefier rear shock/spring to address the pillion, saddlebags, etc. that wll be loaded up. But, I found a great adjustable, tall windshield for it (MadStad)which was preventing me from considering it. Imagine an EVERYTHING bike: supermoto, commuter, pick up a gallon of milk, let's hit the tail of the dragon, or, let's take that dirt road and see where it goes? Enough ground clearance stock, super MPG's (if I can stay out of the throttle-doubt it!), all day comfy, and, upright seating- what's really to stop that crazy idea? Under 400Lbs and you can change the oil with your eyes closed. Finally, OEM accessories like engine sliders and other protection is available, along with a skidplate for offroad durability. I think it's more than possible- it's probably gonna happen. And, I weigh @ 175Lbs- so, I'm right in the right range for the stock suspension, unladen with full bags. I wish there was a 'stock' option for a heavy duty spring/shock- it would increase sales by a large margin.
+Kώστας Καλαντζής If you're throttle heavy, buy a 300cc. If you're not and able to be responsible for the power, 600cc is a good starter. Plus, you outgrow a 300cc within your first week of riding. It's not worth it lol
I'm looking to buy my first bike in Vancouver, BC, Canada and I have to say you're an excellent reviewer. You addressed most of my questions about the bike. Totally sold me on the FZ 07! I'm sure the FZ 09 is worth the $1000 upgrade but damn, there is a lot of value here.
I have a FZ-09 when the ECO symbol is showing it just lets you know that you are in an ideal rev range for fuel economy. Chase if you ever make it to Louisville KY send me an e-mail and I'll let you take out my FZ-09. It is an absolute blast!
Don't feel like reading all the comments to see if it's been said but ECO is a computer setting which trims down the amount of fuel being sent into the cylinders, basically working more off of momentum and less on the motor. It activates when you are at the proper rate of speed and rpms for the selected gear.
I LOVED YOUR REVIEW!!! Honest and very thorough regarding certain things I haven't read anywhere else online. Please keep up the great work and look forward to many more vids! Thanks!
Decided on getting this as my first "big" bike because of this review! In South Africa it's called MT-07, don't know why though. Thanks for all the vids Chase!
Best Review i have seen of this bike. Im getting one next week. The same color. Im 5.5. I needed a shorter sport bike. And this is the best i found. I sat on a bunch for 2 days.
Caleb Whitted If your talking to me. im a bit scared of it. JUST KIDDING. Its a great bike, Nice tork bike. Its pulls so hard i have accident rode some wheelies on it. But i didnt have the camera rolling every time. Dammit, :) Its a very powerful bike for a 689cc bike. It goes faster then i want, so its good. If it had dirt bike tires on it, it would do fine in the woods.
I just demoed the fz-07 and fz-09 at a Yamaha event and I totally agree with you on all of those remarks. Just a stellar and well-performing bike. I've been looking at this, the Triumph Street Triple R, and the fz6r as my next (2nd) bike.
I almost bought a CBR600RR the other day, but realized I hated the way fairings look when sitting on the bike..was looking for a naked bike..And I honestly think I'm in love with this new bike.. Yamaha is really taking over. I love this, the sportbikes they make, and especially the Bolt
Im coming off dirt bikes, and getting my first street bike. I was really wanting a supermoto, but the money I was going to have in a newer 450 turned me off them. Especially when I seen this for less then a WR450. This video really made me lean towards the FZ-07, especially after hearing the supermoto comparison. Ill be going for a closer look tomorrow. Thanks for the great review.
If it hasn't been answered yet, ECO = Economy. Having this light stay on will give you (according to Yamaha) 58 mpg. Which is awesome for a 70+ HP bike. I actually bought one of the first ones to arrive in Georgia in late June at Marietta MS. I love this bike and the price point of what you get is perfect. This bike will get on one wheel in any of the first three gears. The brakes on this bike are really good as well. Thanks for sharing your opinion on it Chase.
I would trade my 2014 Ninja in on that bike in a heartbeat. I've been eyeing this bike since they did a review in Cycle magazine. This bike is beautiful. If I could afford it, I would be at the bike shop tomorrow. You did a great review on it. Thank you.
Definitely a nice bike. I thought it was going to be a triple like the 09, then found out it was a twin. I love twins for the power band hence why I own a twin. This bike looks great. love it in the matte grey combo. However, I think for a grand more, I would personally go with the 09. The triple has a great power band as well and you can never have too much power Great review
You have the coolest people letting you ride their new motorcycles for you giving them a shout out at Mountain Motorsports.Yo do a first ride and honest review and it's all good!!!
Hey man, Great review! I went out and bought one because of your review. I'm a former R6 owner. I haven't test ridden the bike I purchased but based on what you've said, I'll love it!
+Piranha42 it's amazing. Everything Chase says it is. Easy to ride. Powerful. I was nervous about a 700 after not having been on a bike in 10 years but this was so easy. I love it.
Had mine now for about a month. 2k miles. My cruiser is collecting dust, and my Jeep hasn't moved since I got this thing rofl. I'm actually seriously thinking about selling my cruiser now. Fkn LOVE this bike. Wind isn't really a factor till about 60-65. I got the Givi windscreen to help with that, but it's really not that bad at all once you get used to it. I've only had the Givi for about a week now.
I just test rode one of these, The bike is amazing!! I ride a zx14 and this fz-o7 is flippin awesome. We were on the highway doing about 70mph and the wind wasn't bad at all, i didn't really notice it. Gonna get me one of these.
Just bought an FZ09; that thing just wants to eat you alive. It has an insatiable amount of power from bottom to top of the RPM. Feels like it'll never run out. Impressive bike - definitely the correct choice.
I started riding 5 years ago on an SV650. Just bought the FZ-07 this past winter. You are correct, it feels just like it. The stats are about the same except the FZ is like 40 pounds lighter. I totally reco the 650cc bikes as well for new riders.
thanks for the review Chase. Deciding between an FZ6R and the FZ07. I was leaning towards the 07, and after seeing your videos, it will definitely be the 07!
I definitely want one. I'm planning on getting one as a second bike/daily commuter so I can give the 954 a rest from the city stuff. That white looks really good too and I've heard this with 2bros and akra exhausts and it sounds INCREDIBLE. On the want list for suree!
That bike looks so amazing I think I really want this is my first bike. I'm used to riding sportbikes already since my bestfriend lets me ride his cbr 600. But the Yamaha FZ07 looks like the perfect bike for me.
Eco lights up when you are in low revs . You can be on the highway , 6th gear , 60-70 mph and you get like 71 miles per gallon (if my calculations are correct , it is around 3.3 liters per 100 kmh) . This bike is amazing
Chase, that's what a street bike is suppose to be like man! Super sport is for track days and such, but these street bikes are designed to be ridden in cities and such and thus are comfortable and flickable.
Very nearly got one of these in the UK, ended up with an old Suzuki Bandit - go figure ;) The ECO just flashes up to let you know you're riding economically. The dash is awesome, it has ambient and engine temperatures and a live display of your fuel milage based on how you're riding. Never got to ride one, but a fantastic bike!
Picked one of these up last week for my first road bike. I've had dirt bikes and quads and stuff but never a road bike and holy cow this thing is fun. It's very misleading because it is so quiet it just really doesn't seem like there is power there but then you twist the throttle and it has so much torque! From the sound clips I've listened to it sounds really mean with an exhaust so I'm hoping to get one soon. Good review! I was kind of surprised you enjoyed it so much coming from an R6
I’m about to get one of these within a week, and I’m 17. I heard that the fz-07 is an excellent beginner bike. It may be a 600 but you won’t crash as long as you respect the throttle is what I heard aswell.
figured it out, ECO is when you're in the most efficient gear for your speed, if you dropped it down a gear you'd pop right out of it. it isn't a mode, but an indicator.
I test rode one of these today back to back with an FZ-09, I think the FZ-07 is much more than a "beginner bike" it felt more refined and polished than the FZ-09, and just as fast for sane, legal riding. The 09 when opened up is wicked fast and has an amazing sound, but the one time I did that, I was doing 85 in a 45. I had more fun on the 07.
Having watched a ton of your videos, it really helps to have a good baseline on the person riding this new bike! Funny, but I sat on 1 today, while getting Ramekin's 1st big boy bike (GV650) serviced @ a Yamaha dealer. I really like the look (in RED tho) but, I think if I was over 6' tall, or, weighed more than say- 220Lbs- the bike would end up looking pretty small under me. But, I'm 5'10" @ 170Lbs- so, I think it would work. Surprised at how quiet it was, and, I really liked the display & all of the info available (gears, yeay!). Plenty 'o powah, 58MPG and I could put bags on it to make it ugly (I mean functional!) just for me. It's a real contender, what with Yamaha reliability & build quality, quiet nature & plenty of go. Flickable, wheelie ready, under 400 Lbs soaking wet, $7,400 OTD pricing- what's not to like? Looks are sooo subjective, but- I dig 'em! I bought a '14 Triumph Street Triple R in Matte Gray, but, could have had this & $3,000 in my pocket. I don't think I got robbed, and, I absolutely LOVE the STripleR, but, side by side, I bet $3,000 would've made a BIG difference in the final decision if compared that way.
Excellent report--You did an excellent job! I would be looking at one of these if I hadn't bought a Honda CTX700 last year (which I do like)--although I'm probably a little bit too old (64) for a bike like this, but Yamaha has evidently hit a home run with this one.
Good job with the review chase! ECO indicator pops up when you are in low rpm and yes you save more gas. That black material on the front mudguard and tank is carbon fibre
funny that you mentioned your sv650. I rode a 2013 sfv650 gladius the other day and the first thing I noticed was how I felt like I was sitting in the bike instead of on it. Then I noticed how I there was nothing in front of me, I felt like I was just flying like superman. The bike was super easy to ride and flick around even for a brand new rider.
Great vid! I was on the fence about this bike! After seeing this video this will be my next bike next year! Awesome videos and channel keep up the great work. You got a new sub!
+MotoNewf great choice. I pulled the trigger in July. First bike since college...long time ago. I am having a blast. In Maine so riding season is going to end mid-november. I'll be crying for the spring.
I own the MT125 (the 125 version of this bike) and i agree with wanting to tear down the road as if you are on a supermoto but at the same time i'm wanting to throw it into corners because its so freakin light! I'm trading in the bike in the next few weeks as i've just passed my A2 test and am going to miss the MT125 so much!!
If you get the chance, Chase, give the Tenere a shot. It's a heavy bike, but man am I in love since I got it. Go for something completely different, see what you think. And that Eco Mode (on the Tenere) is just when you're not reving it to the moon so they think you're saving gas.
Good video as always, i have naked sv650 and i love it, ive heard nothing but good things about the FZ07/09's. I love my sv, but a Yamaha R1 crossplane is my ultimate dream bike
I rode the FZ07 and the FZ09 yesterday and I have to agree with you I thought the 07 would be a great beginner bike. Yes, it has enough power to get in to trouble but it's as aggressive as a supersports bike and very comfortable which gives you more confidence. It's a great bike you can buy and learn to ride and won't get bored of the power like a 250cc.
Squid WithGear The FZ09 definitely has more torque and its comes on hard. Especially if you have it on A mode. The 07 is tamer but it still has enough torque to snap your head back if you twist the throttle hard. 09 is more of hooligan and the 07 is a more balanced do-it-all machine.
+DJ MotoVlogs But what would you say to someone on an A2-license? The the bike will suddney be restricted to 48hp, and wont have any more power-to--weight ratio than the other 300cc bikes. Would you still recommend it, or would it then be better to go for a 300cc bike? I'm asking becauset hat is the position I'm in. I really like the look of the MT-07, that it's bigger and all the torque and it seems like a reallyfun bike to ride around on and it can do a little bit of everything. But is is noticably more espensive than an R3, which is a very different bike, but is bang on the A2-limit and better at cornering. My only concern about the MT-07 is the cornering abilities. A part from that I really do like the MT-07.. When that's said I'll get my license early next year and be restricted for two entire years. Meaning I won't be able to ride a bike with full power before I hit 25... which is very frustrating..
+Aadibass Well would you rather pay more for the MT-07 so after them 2years you can derestrict it and get more power? If not then go buy a R3 then after the 2years go sell&buy another bike.
Hayden I'm not sure.. I mean thinking economically a ninja 300 would perhaps be am even better choice? it has been around long enough to be found 2-3 years old on the used market. But shouldnt I get the bike that makes me the most excited? Although it'sa little stupid to buy a big bike only to restrict it I will still ahve the torque, looks, ergonomics and everything else from the MT-07? I've also started my pursuit of the motorbike-liense rather late so by the time I will unrestrict it I'll be 25..wouldn't I look weird on an R3 by that time? If I buy the MT-07 usd it won't be much more expensive than a brand new R3. That's what I've been thinking about doing.. I tried sitting on them in the store and I must say I felt really good on the MT. When that's said who knows what my economy will be like in 2-3 years time. The MT-07 is also a very popular bike and is attractive both in teh restricted and unrestricted market and have gotten the attention from brand new riders as well as some more experienced ones: won't that make it an easy bike to sell on the used market?
So pleased they took the MT07 over there and slapped a FZ07 sticker on it! It's a great bike, I did a detailed ride review on it a few months back (on my channel) and I can tell you it's one popular bike - like my review! The ECO thing just tells you your riding gas friendly, who care on this? ECO Wheelies ? lol Anyway I would love to have one, all I would change is the pipes and shocks. Great Stuff RSMF-*RI* Mr B
I competely agree with you on this bike Mr B - its a superb machine, not just because it's relatively inexpensive, but cos it ticks many boxes, including the most important one - FUN!
Hahaha, awesome experience! THAT is what bikes are all about. FUN and SMILES! I have a Bonnieville which I love (naked/standard but a bit heavy. Tons of fun, just not as sporty). I also have an r1150r Rockster which is bigger bore "street fighter-ish" which is really a naked sport touring. I love the idea of a bike like this. The new "scramber" version looks sexy and being that it's basically the same heart, I can't wait til they make it to the states.

Do you still have it?How is it?
These bikes with exhausts are FEROCIOUS!
Seems pretty cool. Good for a starter but for everyone else, the fz-09 is only a $1k more. Yamaha has some bad ass bikes in general.
Yeah I think the FZ-07 is going to be a solid competitor for the SV-650. I really Like my 09.
Fazer4Flight MotoVlogs Only downside is that there are no used ones on the market yet. I'm getting my first bike soon and i'm looking at the SV650 because there are so many of them to get used! (cost less and feel less bad if I accidentally drop it...)

CanadianBiker And I think that most people (and they are right!) buy used bikes as their first, less pain to your wallet if you drop it and you will, everyone did at the start :)
yea agreed. Yamaha is really killing the market right now!
im loving naked bikes right now... so fun - less 'serious' than when you mount a supersports. Just enjoy.
Everything is better naked!
/street triple rider
Really. I want a motorcycle that looks like a motorcycle, not a jet-ski. And I don't want to have to ride in a position that looks like I'm humping a pig. Naked is good.
J Ernst
I agree!!!!
James S. You didn't have to completely insult the supersports. I like naked bikes too but jet-ski? pig? What???? Where???
ih8momjokes1 I have an opinion. So what? You have yours and I'm not telling you 'hey, what the fuck?' I don't like sport bikes and the little kiddies who ride them irresponsibly. I've managed 300km (185mi) out of my MT07 over here in Oz between refills.
Flanky and The Machine dang I only get 130miles in the tank on 93+octane
This video was one of the several that helped make my decision to get the FZ-07. Have had it for about a month and just loving it! Looking forward to the 1000 mile maker to wrap up the braking-in period.
Thank you for your time and effort.
I actually got that bike brand new today xD. My first bike and it feels awesome.
Congrats I'm thinking on getting one too, is it a good starter bike?
Its without a doubt a very good starter bike. Nice and easy to control.
still good?
Absolutely, No problems as of yet
Revolt Wolf does the bike still have enough power for you after a month?
Chase I cant tell you how helpful these bike reviews are! My CBR recently was totaled (damage was minimal but the labor/parts that were damaged from getting rear ended put it close to 75% of the bikes value) so now I'm in the market for a new bike - oh also the check they sent me....$3k more than what I paid for the bike! Lol so now I'm rewatching all your reviews.
Hey Chase, thanks for helping convince me to buy this bike. I love it.
Picked up my 2016 FZ07 in December last year. its my 5th motorcycle over the years. It's perfect for a city commuter with the occasional weekend twisties ride. Love this thing!
FZ8… not FZ08. Different family of bikes than the MT/FZ09/07 series. Thanks for the video! Always entertaining and educational!
thanks man. I noticed while editing that little mistake as well.
Yeah I looked it up like "wait there is a fz-08 hahaha.
This bike is what I learned to ride on. Glad my riding school bought these. They're very enjoyable. Quick yet easy to handle for new riders.
Chase i saw your video yesterday and today i went by my local dealer and put a 1500$ down payment on a black FZ-07 with the blue trims! I hope it comes in soon!!!
after my test ride I have no doubt you'll love it. such a smooth ride!
OfficeBear IMBACKURMAD That's good to know! I'm 6'2" as well and I'm always worried that my length will become an issue when I finally get my license.
The black with blue highlights is the same one I'm getting in a couple months. :D I used to ride a 80's model Honda VF700c as a commute to college, so looking forward to having something more upright and maneuverable.
It's not black, it's grey with blue rims.
***** oh my bad Got a supermoto instead anyway. :D
Hey! Thanks to your reviews I just went to mountain motorsports and bought a brand new 2016 yamaha FZ-07! Just wanted to say thanks for making videos.
Much better looking bike then the FZ-09. I like that two tone.
I actually like the 09 looks better. Esp the front end. The 07 places the light lower. Both great bikes.
Picua I agree. I love both but the 07 is just gorgeous. I rode the FZ09 and it was really wide in the tank and bars
Had this bike since 2015, my first and only so far, just want to say this review is a large part of why I decided on it.
I want those gauges on the WR haha
yes please. but on a 250 isn't the eco mode permanently on?
This is my favorite motorcycle review i have ever watched. Great comments and very candid, unlike the videos from those motorcycle magazines. I can't wait to get one of these when i get back from Korea.
In Europe this bike is called MT-07, which is weird.
(If I'm not mistaken)
This is my dream bike btw :3
(Don't want or need more power)
Stock brot This MT means Masters of Torque, used by Yamaha. Same acronym here in Brazil. Until now, we have both MT-09 and MT-07. ;)
+Stock brot (Stockbrot) Yeah man i agree.. it costs 12.000$ where i live though
+Chris Bram In Germany it's about 7.000$ (6.300€). It really depends on the country in which it is purchased.
+Chris Bram MT-09 is 12000$, Mt-07 is 7000$
backy73 the 07 is 11.5k in denmark the 09 is 18.7k
Can't wait to buy one. This is the SV650 for this decade. Stoked!
buying this over the Susuki....because of you. And I'll save a grand.
Ryan Nelson Very Wise!
Just bought 2016 FZ-07 a few weeks ago. Put on about 600 miles and I love it!
Beginning of video: "I'm not trading in Holly, just giving it a test ride".
End of video: "OMG holy shit I want this bike. It's so awesome."
Goodbye Holly. lol
never but it is an amazing bike.
Chase... I bought one of these this past weekend and your review played a role in even considering it. Thanks a lot for all your vids and happy riding!
dig the test rides bro.. live in columbus. looking to start riding
+clevs_is_me then this would be a great start man.
***** with zero experience?? there's a huge debate about 600cc bikes for beginners. this thing is more than 650cc..
thanks though. i believe it's light enough and priced just right for me. might be the one
I stopped riding around October / and brought it back out of hibernation easter just passed and i'm loving it right away... couple of mods - the akra with a modified baffle , R&G tail tidy - Yamaha rim tape and a Yamaha small smoked screen ( offers pretty much zero wind deflection but looks a lot cooler ( imo ) and stops bugs etc getting splattered all over the front section/key/back of the speedo.
what mods would i need to make this bike loud as shit?
+antoNIO Full exhaust?
+chaseontwowheels I wouldn't know , I'm only 14 I love you're vids
+antoNIO maybe you could put a akrapovic slip-on for the exhaust on the bike and i'm going to probably look into buying this bike as well bro.
+chaseontwowheels you make great vids i love your work and uh whats the next first ride your going to do after the KTM
+AfterBurn Gaming I personally own this bike it has been a great bike, I also bough a full akrapovic titanium exhaust system for the bike and now it is extremely loud.
I am so sold on this bike! Ive watched this video about 4 times now! Awesome review Chase!
i need those red gloves!
get the ones that chase has now... they are a lot better
Opinion on this being a first bike?
+pepsi1241 Great option.
+chaseontwowheels really??? isn't it a bit "fast" for a first bike?
+Kώστας Καλαντζής Depends on the rider's brain lol
+Kώστας Καλαντζής If you're throttle heavy, buy a 300cc. If you're not and able to be responsible for the power, 600cc is a good starter.
Plus, you outgrow a 300cc within your first week of riding. It's not worth it lol
+CrazyLuckyGamer0 ' there is people that can t buy all those motos. Better buy one moto. The lonley moto. The best moto.
Sounds like fucking 125cc 4 stroke moped definitely needs an aftermarket can on there
Turns out you just remove the intake snorkel and drill 4 little holes in the muffler. Best sound ever!
The ECO light turns on when you're riding fuel efficiently. The light is essentially controlled by your throttle application. Honda cars have it too.
This video (and a test ride) were the deciding factors when I bought my new FZ07. Thanks for the videos and reviews.
Been in the market for a new bike, that's more geared towards a do-it-all type of ride. I think i'm sold on this. Thanks Chase!
Best Review i have seen of this bike. Im getting one next week. The same color. Im 5.5. I needed a shorter sport bike. And this is the best i found. I sat on a bunch for 2 days.
How do you like it?
Caleb Whitted If your talking to me. im a bit scared of it. JUST KIDDING. Its a great bike, Nice tork bike. Its pulls so hard i have accident rode some wheelies on it. But i didnt have the camera rolling every time. Dammit, :) Its a very powerful bike for a 689cc bike. It goes faster then i want, so its good. If it had dirt bike tires on it, it would do fine in the woods.
+Jojo Gun Fang LOL thanks for the info!
I went and sat on one at the dealership today and I have heard nothing but good about this bike I'm tempted to get one!
I love a quiet bike. I've had a Virago 535 for a couple of years now. ... This FZ07 needs to be my next bike.
I just bought a fz-07, picking it up in the morning. Pretty excited!!
I love this, the sportbikes they make, and especially the Bolt
yea I'm definitely a Yamaha fan.
Dude! Hilarious commentary. By far the most entertaining review I've watched!
The triple has a great power band as well and you can never have too much power
Great review
You have the coolest people letting you ride their new motorcycles for you giving them a shout out at Mountain Motorsports.Yo do a first ride and honest review and it's all good!!!
Well, this just made me fall more in love with this bike...trying to get one this season if possible
Hey man,
Great review! I went out and bought one because of your review. I'm a former R6 owner. I haven't test ridden the bike I purchased but based on what you've said, I'll love it!
+Rob Kerr how is the bike now that you have it? thanks
This seems like the perfect bike for those who still want that super moto feel, defiantly on my wish list
Man that fz-07 looks like a KILLER first bike, sweet vid!
I have a Nighthawk 750, which is a four cylinder. The fact that a this 700cc parallel twin makes the same power (around 75hp) is nuts!!!!!!
I definitely want one. I'm planning on getting one as a second bike/daily commuter so I can give the 954 a rest from the city stuff. That white looks really good too and I've heard this with 2bros and akra exhausts and it sounds INCREDIBLE. On the want list for suree!
One of the funnest bikes I've ever ridden. Effortless 3rd gear wheelies on this thing. I love the motor and how it wheelies :)
Awesome video chase, really considering this as my first street bike. Seems like nobody has anything bad to say about it. Good job Yamaha!
My brothers just got one and loves it. Such great value for money.
Super sport is for track days and such, but these street bikes are designed to be ridden in cities and such and thus are comfortable and flickable.
yea I'm definitely seeing that.
I love my naked bike. I have a 2013 SFV650 and I couldn't be happier. That Fz-07 looks beautiful too though.
Always been a fan of naked bikes (says the SV650 owner). And the Super Naked liter class is really starting to pick-up in the US.
figured it out, ECO is when you're in the most efficient gear for your speed, if you dropped it down a gear you'd pop right out of it. it isn't a mode, but an indicator.
Those are really beautiful bikes, I would love getting one as a 2nd or 3rd one day just for shorter fun rides.
I would love it for a daily rider.
Just Bought a 2015 Fz-07 and i love it! Wish it was louder but it is an awesome bike!
my first bike I bought was an 09 FZ 600, it was a blast and fun to learn on
Picked one up in June. honestly the best bike have been on. Needs after market exhaust for sure though
Few days ago i bought Yamaha xj6 2013. This gen of yamaha motorcycles is awesome.
I'm not a long time rider but a beginner on my yz250f and that bike looks great....I want one
I really don't think its real carbon fiber.
It's plastic.
Nah its only a hint of carbon fibre
funny that you mentioned your sv650.
I will be getting this as my first bike in a few months hopefully
DJ MotoVlogs How do you feel the torque compared between the two?
Great bike. Put 8k miles on mine. Only added radiator guard and sliders. Love it.
ECO Wheelies ? lol
Anyway I would love to have one, all I would change is the pipes and shocks.
Great Stuff
RSMF-*RI*
Mr B
I competely agree with you on this bike Mr B - its a superb machine, not just because it's relatively inexpensive, but cos it ticks many boxes, including the most important one - FUN!
Same here - first I knew about it was in a UK bike magazine, a couple of months after the test ride :)
After watching this vid im def seriously considering going to look at one of these bikes in the near future!
I really like this bike in all the color variations, except the one with the blue frame and wheels.
In england its known as the MT07, essentially the bike I want when I can achieve my next license. Having a test ride on one in a week 8D
