Thankyou for this, I can't fully express how useful this was! Although I have to admit I couldn't maintain relaxed arm position for the full duration this first time - (a long term shoulder injury was very prominent in my awareness..) - now, since following you in this video, whenever I start the 'commencing form', my arms literally float upwards on their own, which startled me at first but is now a comforting reminder that correct concentration and relaxation has incalculable benefits and this feeling is beginning to permeate into all my tai chi practices. It is addictive, and happens whenever I concentrate on the movement having the lowest friction and interference from myself. I am forever grateful.
I can’t believe you don’t charge money for this information…words can’t express how great full we are as the viewers for this especially for those who are beginners to chi gung
It is a shame this video has a lot of advertising disruptions. You can't have meditations with sudden bursts of ads, so it is not suitable for following the practice program continuously. Many other workout videos don't have ads. Thanks.
Thank you ❤️🙏 I'm so glad to hear that it helped. My master adopted this modified tree pose from yiquan :) I'm not too familiar with yiquan but always loved watching it ❤️
@@AipingTaiChi I have been a martial arts practitioner of most of the Asian ones. I stumbled upon a black spiritual teacher teaching this to his students passing it off as an African Martial Arts pose from antiquity defrauding his African American students. I smelled a rat and I did my research and saw it was originally from China (He visited china in his youth) then I began to learn it's history and how it was developed. I am in ill health and am actually having severe stomach issues so I thought this would be beneficial to me and am learning how to do it properly.
Knees can be bent to 90 as long as all the principles adhere: Knees not past the toes, lower back flat and pelvis tucked (back should be able to press flat against the wall), hollow chest, straight spine, straight line from Bai Hui through Hui Yin. The lower you go, the more strength and power you develop

Can this done with the legs bent more(90 degrees?)Would it work to hold it with legs bent or is this trictly with barely bent knees?
