  • A quick how to tutorial on sewing face masks for when you need to venture out of the house. The quarantine time has been a good opportunity to pick up old and new skills and I enjoyed sewing again during the downtime. I hope these are useful and maybe if you liked my attempt I will continue with more sewing projects, let me know in the comments.
As promised, please find the links below for the mask pattern. Although most of the materials I used were already in the house and had spare. I recommend the following for fitment and also my usual stockists.Best wishes and stay safe...
For fabric I shop locally and use Lady Sew and Sew. Henley on Thames, Oxon. I've had some quilt cottons spare but used for these masks.

I have had some of this leftover from sewing previous projects and find that 4mm is a good size for fit and not to restrictive.

Threads, bias tape maker, cutters, etc. I typically go to Jaycotts. A nice place for all kinds of sewing needs in the UK.

Thanks for watching, hope it's helpful. I would like to get back into sewing and with the quieter times it gives me the chance. Fabric wise, I like colourful and fun cotton prints. It's gives the option for various projects.

Thanks! There is always some nice fabrics in the shops, the tricky side is finding the fixings and accessories for the next project.
