Meguiars Hyperwash is so concentrated, the value adds up. I made the mistake for a long time putting too much and not realizing you can use about 1.6oz per 5 gallons of water which is almost nothing. And it works well.
I can't validate $20 extra for a bit more slickness. If it gets the car clean, I'll take the Superior
That's a fair assessment
also griots garage snow foam... is crazy slick and you get a big bottle for like $20 and it smells great
Interesting video. To me it comes down to what I'm doing to the car per customer. If its a maintenance client/ coated car ill use a good soap , atm its the gyeon line. If im doing a simple wash or prepping for machine i will use the cheapest stuff i can find because im not worried about anything left behind, aka love marks , swirls or whatever. Polishing will remove anything that gets introduced to the paint during the wash . Wheel bucket as well . I also prefer a more runny foam . Drag the dirt down the panel .
Superior products are definitely pretty good. I use their spray wax in my business for a good finish without water spots. It can also be spayed through a foam cannon mixed with soap or apc and rinsed off after. Or it can be used as a drying aid. It works great if you don’t have access to good water or de-ionized water and want a spot free finish
Gonna check out SP's Dark Fury next once I'm done with my gallon of Brake Buster.
I’d definitely be interested to see a comparison of the two. with it being $10 cheaper per gallon than brake buster I wonder if it would give similar results
Which spray wax was it
@@Flaco...0 probably F4. Dilute 10:1
How much of the wax do you add to the foam cannon?
Do you still have these 2? I have been doing testing with some different soaps and I'm wondering which one has better lubricity at the same dillution?
Might be thinking about bringing in Dirt Buster to compare sometime later.
Dirt buster would be the bucket/ foam soap from Superior Products and the PH is closer to Incredible suds or pearl. It does have a thinner foam like pearl.
Went to 3D Nano Pails. Extremely concentrated, does a great job, great price, and just performs.
Any wash will work for you... literally any wash... if your prep is good. You should always pre rinse the vehicle... then do a apc spray down and rise... then follow with a light mix soap rinse... then foam the car and go in for the mit wash. Yes i use one or two steps more than most people... but i have never had an issue with using less cost soap... it all works. Yes i use more water, but i upcharge for the water. These products are so concentrated that the amount of product does not come to much. a couple extra steps i use might add 10-15 minutes to my process. You can literally use gold class and be top notch.
I usually add 1 oz of HyperWash to my spray bottle. Rinse and do a waterless wash then blow dry. Ceramic spray wax and that’s it!
What is a “wash less”?
@@hawke525 what are you talking about??
You’ve probably miss read!
@@kimijonghighball9626 Well you edited "wash less" w/ waterless. You can't admit you made a typo?
@@hawke525 sorry, just “breaking your balls” as the Sopranos might say. That’s exactly what I did.
Can this be used with a foam cannon?
Did you watch the video?
@@hawke525 its in my watch later, started to watch and something came up but definitely going to watch it thru
Interesting that you mentioned that it takes more oz shampoo/water vs the other one. I tried Stealth garage Extreme Sudz and their recommendation is 6oz per 16oz water, so at $15 per 16oz bottle , it costs $11.25 to mix a full container of a foam cannon which is insane. Mega foam is $13.5 on sale and their recommendation is 1oz per 32oz water and it gets you more foam than the stealth with 6oz per 16oz water and only costs $0.85 per 32oz foam cannon container. Many dont take this in consideration .
Meguiar's Hyper wash when diluted 1 oz per 3 gallons is 7.2, before diluting a pH around 9 plus. I believe the Super Product is around 7.5 before diluting?
Hm interesting
Superior states PH 7 on their MSD
Cherry foam may be cheap but man you have to use a ton of it, especially in the foam cannon. Even in their video(superior products) they use 5oz in their foam cannon. Better off with the hyper wash or Vonixx Cintron or Vfloc
Megs gold class soap is actually the best
at the price point... adding an extra ounce for a total of 3 oz...no brainer if you want more foam
You don't need an insane amount of foam, save the money...buy superior and use dirt buster as a bucket wash or even in the foam cannon. Save your money, a lot of foam is a waste of product half the time.
Meguires ahampoo plus and Gold Class foams up better than both of these for 25$ a gallon sake dilution 1.5 to 2 oz in cannon. Gold Class is overall the best cheap soap money can buy
Hyper wash is super concentrated isnt it from what I rember reading about is cherry foam super concentrated
I believe Cherry Foam is supposed to be super concentrated but doesn't hold up to other concentrated car shampoos imo.
As a detailer myself I feel like I’m a bit more primitive…. I use dish soap for the general wash, industrial degreaser for the engine/tire/wheel wells, and wheel acid for the rims( wheel acid is a bit strong, use on rim with caution) . This usually get the job done . Curious to here your opinions.
Feel like dish soap would leave something behind that wouldn't be a benefit for the paint in the long run. I'd go for a car-dedicated soap personally. Everything else sounds reasonable if used modestly.
You should look into some products that would fit for maintenence washes. Something that's not strong/harsh.
What degreaser do you use?
@@hawke525 I use orange industrial degreaser. I get it from Home Depot
I hear super clean is a good apc/ degreaser. Should give that a try.
Dish soap as a detailer? Good way to degrade the paint over time and not recommended at all. Any wax or protection would be completely stripped off every time you wash as it’s very aggressive on paint. Also dish soap barely provides any lubrication compared to a dedicated car soap so when you do a contact wash you are way more likely to cause marring and swirls. A concentrated dedicated car soap would be cheaper and is safe to use 100% of the time.
@@goodbusiness9674 yea I can see where the problem lies😅. I did forget to say it is cut heavily with water. In a wash bucket. If used raw, it will eat through the clear coat . As for buffing after washing . It depends how rough the paint is , car wash scratches, overspray, rust stain, etc. Don’t worry I only get swirls when compounding the paint lol. The detail is guaranteed to last a year unless the car is taken to the automated car wash repeatedly. Appreciate the info tho 👍.
