Thank you for a great conversation. May we all turn to prayer and fasting and seek to live out a holy life rather than just think about living a holy life. It is easy to focus on Church politics. It is more meaningful if we actually desired to make a difference - and we can by these spiritual means!

Yes good video. Also, people can offer their prayers in union with the Masses said Each Day with the prayer of St. Gertrude The Great, ___the prayer that releases 1000 souls from purgatory. But its Not just for souls in purgatory. I customize/add to prayer to Include specific Intentions ex. for world to seek peace, pope Francis & clergy to obey God, a culture of Life, etc...

The more people who return to the Apostolic traditions-and only the Apostolic traditions-the more likely the Enemy will be overcome in today's world. We need more teachers to show us exactly what those traditions were.

This brings it all together, a simple and comprehensive summary of the central duty of the Christian, which is prayer. It's not just some nice, pious thing we do when we don't know what else to do, but rather the central business of being in Christ that He may be and remain in us.

That two comment that have been removed. if you had an ounce of integrity you would refute with a reply. The covering of lies is what you are good at. Some of what I point out is why the RCC is going through a Crisis. That crisis is going to get worse.Truth will always win through in the end. Not refuting the comments make YOU and accessory to the lies proving your are not lying from your position may well prove you are, or prove I have an axe to grind. I was a fully pay up RC.

The most life changing book I have ever read that shows Our Lady and the apostles teaching in the early Church as well as capturing the the ENTIRE life of Christ is THe Mystical City of God, Blessed Mary Agreda writing on what the BVM tells her. Start with the abridges version and you will be drawn to read the four volumes. What a blessing it is!

Like many things in the Christian life, simple but not easy. I find myself balking at the notion of a morning prayer in which I dedicate my entire day to God. After all, I do not want to put myself in a position of lying to God! Perhaps if I started with such a prayer at 8pm, and then gradually worked my way back through the day...like a graduated exercise program...?

I've been studying the Catholic Church because God wants me to. I don't know if He wants me to convert or not. I feel both a strong attraction and a strong repulsion. I've been reading the early Church fathers.

      @giovanniserafino1731 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

Nothing happens by accident or chance. If God is directing you to study the Catholic Church ,and you are reading the Fathers of Church, He is obviously leading you to know Him in the fullness of Truth which can only be found in the Christ founded Catholic Church. I will be praying for you. God bless you.

I was confirmed in the Catholic church last year but spent 4 years studying and praying before I entered RCIA to convert. It was a time wrought with spiritual warfare. The evil one did not take kindly to my deepening faith and was a persistent pest. I found that adding a few deliverance prayers to my repertoire helped me along the way.
I must tell you that every bit of it was worth it. There is nothing like the fullness of the faith and receiving our Lord in the Eucharist. God bless you on your own journey.

@@M5guitar1 It's not the bad apples that I have a problem with. There is corruption everywhere these days. Nor the Apostolic Church. It's the later add-ons. My relationship is with the Trinity and I am not about to start praying to anyone else. Don't bother telling me it's petition, not prayer. In the first place, petition IS a form of prayer, and in the second place. I have eyes that see and ears that hear. Catholics that claim they do not pray to Mary or the saints turn right around and do exactly that. I don't know if I can get past that. Yet, anyone who invokes the early Christians commands my respect.

I'm making my way through the episodes at Essentialist Press right now and he's excellent. I listen to him after praying my Morning Offering, Lauds and Lectio. He's great at helping a person enter into authentic prayer. He's right when he says we have to enter into our own desert. For me, that means getting up at 0400 to make the time for prayer. I set my notifications on my phone to take up moments of prayer throughout the day which are way more brief but doable and necessary.

Not what I was expecting, but what I needed to hear for sure. I'm 2 1/2 years into my reversion to the Church and did not know there even was spiritual theology or mystical theology or practical theology (which I'm guessing is like "applied" as in applied mathematics or applied geophysics ie tools for real-word uses).
I was wondering what he thinks the problem un tge Church is, but that's the wrong question. What God sees as "the" problem is the more important issue.

What are some examples of the sacrifice/ offerings we bring to God when we go to Church on Sunday? Is it sufferings that we united with Christ during the week? Individuals we want to bring to God in prayer? Thanksgiving for various events during the week? I would love to hear Mr David Torkington talk more on that part of this video.

St. Therese de Liseaux said all our efforts are small in God's eyes so she came, at the end of the day, with empty hands and offered the infinite merits of Jesus. Maybe it's through prayer that we can obtain the treasury of Jesus as our own?

Eric ,parden me , but u really look like you did not quite grasp what David describe so accurately . For if you had , you would have not ask him that last question. DT, is spot on, you ....we have no power , the Divine Indwelling must and is ,the only one who can , so there is no short cuts , find God within ,not as an Ideal, or truth small T, or facts, But God is and has been waiting for you in your own self , and its your will , that is in the way, I have come to do my Fathers will....not my will but thy will....the kingdom of heaven ,they most Holy Trinity is in you ,provided you are not in mortal sin, you want to do something for the mess our church is in.....this is the only way, there is and never was anyway but this way ....that is what David has been trying to get you and your listeners across.

It seems even professionals are blind to what happened to the Church. Vatican II created a new religion with its own popes saints and beliefs. The Church still exists but is relegated to the Catacombs. It isn't surprising that the spiritually blind Interlectuals don't understand the crisis is the counterfeit church it was the same when their counterparts the Pharisees for the most part couldn't see Christ as Mashiach when he was standing right in front of them. Proverbs 15:29 tells us God hears the prayers of the just and the crisis grows which can only mean something is missing and it is not a prayer from antiquity.

Very interesting. Thank you.. however, i believe Maximillian Kolbe gave us the weapon to take on the tyranny of today: the Miraculous Medal! The front is the Ark of the Covenant that we ‘carry into battle’ as we wear it around our necks and over our hearts. The back IS the HighPriest Breastplate that mirrors the Breastplate that is worn by the HighPriest Forever: Jesus. The stars are the gems which represents the Apostles, the new tribes of Israel. Each apostle has their own ‘spiritual territory.’ Thru Catherine Laboure we learn that not all the graces shine down on the earth because no one asks for them. Perhaps it is time to understand what each Apostle can give to us if we ask them. Afterall, faith comes from heaven, maybe it is the Apostles who can help foster this outpouring. So much to say, but the key is to understand how each gem/tribe lines up with each apostle….
