    I LOVE mine. It goes BANG every time I pull the trigger with a round chambered, is accurate, with manageable recoil. I can shoot mine as fast and as accurately as any of my 9mms. Added tritium night sights.

    I own this same gun and never really had the chance to use it until one night a couple of idiots kick in my front door. After the second shot it jams. I don't really think it was the gun its self, I'm leaning more towards the magazine.

      Did it jam or was it a stovepipe? I bought this gun the 1st year it came out. I had a cheap 9mm to take a carry class. 9/11 happened and the class was cancelled. During the wait time, I had the chance to buy a better gun. Bought this one, got a chance to run 100 rnds thru it. 1st problem, if you don't lock your wrist and elbow, it will stove pipe! It does kick like a mule! I've carried mine now for 15 years with Federal Hydrashok ammo. Keep in mind, spare factory mags are very hard to find! Spare mags 15 years ago were $55. You can get them from Taurus for $36 now but you order them on line. I still love the gun and might buy a new one some day!

      sjds51 you have to shoot like a hundred rounds through them to break in and don't limp rist .they have put out a few bad mags though

    This is every thing I need in a hand gun. Installed the Hi Viz sights and this baby threw down like a champ. I am waiting for my PT 840C to come in.

    @jmorcivic Ive been using my Sig P228's holser. Fits just right for this gun. I have it at either 1-3 oclock position.

    @MrDelmonte67 I have a Millenium Pro PT145 with over 1000rds through it, and not ONE single FTF, or issue at all. 100% perfect. Most people ripping on Taurus never really owned one for long enough.
    My Glock was sold off years ago after Glock told me it was passed service life and they wouldn't fix the feed issue. I've never heard of one single person having that issue sending back a Taurus for maintenance.

    I bought one about 5 years ago at academy for just under 300$, I retired the colt to the safe. With the repeat strike, it's very simple to convert to double action only from it's stock single action, yes it's a single action that only looks like a double.Remove the single action sear and it's spring, takes 10 mins. As far as reliablity, 100% through a few thousand rounds so far,

    I am picking up one of these tomorrow, lightly used. I have a Ruger SR9C, but I want some ammo diversity because 9mm is not always available and .45 isn’t that much more for a box of 50, at least from what I have seen. This Taurus holds as many rounds in .45 as my Ruger holds in 9, so this should be good! That’s a dope Sig you got there too!

    Thanks for the many Range shots- wanted to see how it shot in the range and considering purchasing it.

    That’s this is crazy finally got mine and if I pull the trigger half way then engage the safety then pull the trigger it does fire!!! There are other vids on here proving this fact but maybe you got lucky

    • @darrelwhite2649
      @darrelwhite2649 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Mine doesn't do that. But the bigger question is why would you have the trigger halfway pulled when you engage the safety?

  • @pastorfuzz367

    I can't get my PT 145 (early non-pro model) to "jam" or ftf or fte. It ate 550 rds. of sorted cartridges, fmj, hp, not one caused it to "burp"

    @Lumpia_In_Texas  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @porquepine Yea it is pretty easy to shoot. Now you have to line up the sights where the target is and not in the 6 o'clock position like most other pistols. Great gun for the money.

    This was actually a pretty good review. Down to earth, real world, but maybe a little foolish at times. Great guns at a great price. The missing "piece" that you are talking about is the end cap retainer for the capacitive firing pin.

    @MrDelmonte67 Yes the gun is cheap and that's why I bought it. What kind of problems did you have with this gun? Congrats on getting that Glock 27. I used to have a Glock 26 but it kept on jamming and always threw brass on my face when I shot it. I have owned over 20 handguns and I recommend this Taurus as a primary CCW. The Heinie 9 sights dont suck as you can see on my video. You and your friends suck at shooting. BTW, the XS Big Dot sights for Glocks and SIG's sights are similar to this gun's

    @MrDelmonte67 Who needs night sights when you can mount a light on the rail with this gun. Does your Glock 27 have a rail to mount lasers or lights? I hope so because it greatly helps target acquisition even in complete darkness where N/S are useless. Yea that disassembly pin is a pain in the butt but its close enough to my sig 228 and M9 so it doesn't bother me. It should last a lifetime since it has a lifetime warranty. I actually dont like Taurus revos. I like S&W and Rugers.

    This handgun is a single action/double action design...when the weapon is in single action( slide has been racked as if it has been loaded) even with pressure on the trigger while manipulating the safety, the gun will not fire with safety on. However, if you pull the trigger and put it into double action mode, place pressure on trigger, then put the safety on, the weapon will engage the firing pin. I own a PT145 and have seen it with my own two eyes. I have not tried it with a live round

    @Mc13oner Very cool! I go there a lot but not as often as i would like to. It's nice they let me bring my AR-15 there, but won't allow my father-n-law to bring his AK-47 which is strange. One problem i have with my Taurus is it's not too accurate which made me resort to using a .38special with +P ammunition for home defense. Not as much stopping power as the Taurus but it's accurate as hell. I hit the little green guy in the upper left corner 48/50 times. Any tips on how to sight it in??

  • @CETCollective
    @CETCollective 12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @Roadmilker, you shoot at 200 yards with a handgun? Nice trick but of little use to be good at hitting stuff at that range unless you plan to attack a machine gun nest or chase down a marathon runner. Defensive shooting takes place from point blank range to 20 feet tops.
    You can't shoot anyone at 200 yards and call it self defense~

  • @TheBassking86

    Bro I know you were proving a point but you should always practice gun safety and never pull the trigger on a loaded gun especially with one in the chamber

    Great manageable recoil and so light, u would think your shooting a glock!

  • @Lumpia_In_Texas
    @Lumpia_In_Texas  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @MrDelmonte67 The reason why so many police dept's have Glocks because they are the cheapest options for them. They are standard issue to most cops who cannot afford to buy their own handgun (ie SIGs and S&W M&Ps). Taurus is the standard issue gun in most South American countries.

    Some guns, you can't dryfire them. It will break. Some you have to have he magazine in or else it will break when you dryfire it. Read your owner manuals.

    My problem with this video is that while trying to be funny (or whatever) the kid insulted a person for being perceivably ignorant (not to mention his weight) over a concern about the PT145; yet he handles himself like a cocky little 10th grader. Dissing gun safety checks makes him look like an ass. My guess is that this is the most mature thing he owns and he's trying to build a grown-up expert reputation around having it. It blew up in his face, methinks.

    @MrDelmonte67 Well you can buy N/S for the PT145 too. LAZERMAX are garbage and you cant adjust it. Yeah stick with that small .40cal pistol and I'll stick to the real man stopper round, .45ACP. BTW I dont care if you are Latino and got offended. Yes I know the gun is made in Brazil but your gun was made in a country that fought against and killed many American soldiers. GG for being out trolled.

    Had this gun it was ok but I sold it, its too blocky for comfortable CC, try the thinner Kahr CW45. It was fairly reliable but had a few issues and I hate that stupid Taurus security lock, the keys for it are junk, first time I unlocked it the cheapo key broke, thankfully they give you two, if you have this gun unlock that and leave it unlocked. Overall decent gun but not great.

    i never quite understood the need for night sights. unless youre the one lurking in the shadows... aside from that, if you are able to buy and carry a handgun then i can ASSUME you know what end the bullets come out. the guy argueing with the video uploader leads me to believe he cant piss in the dark without nightsights on his dick. bottom line, its a pistol and this isnt "call of duty".
