Thanks for watching! Most of the Mopar guys like to Baby their car. That being said, most guys that like to road races their car won't think much of a +4000lbs car to do so. I say Big Boys need Big toys. you wont catch me racing a miata! Ishhh lol

Kool thanks for joining in the fun! Yes not many Chally driver like to beat up on their cars on a road course. Not the usual track car but if you are a big guy then there is less of a choice...
Nice track - pretty flat & tight.... little too short for you to take full advantage of the Challenger, but still looked like a lot of fun. Nice to see these things out on road courses! Have fun & be safe!

Amazing video Mike. Thanks for sharing. I watched about half. I will certainly be back to watch the rest. Nice tutorial and walk through the gears and track. So much fun.

A wide assortment of car types. Good job capturing & editing the road racing action my friend, great to see you enjoying your Challenger! I also run high 30 PSI on all my vehicle tires for solid bite, smart.
@@HemiMike We did a lot of road course fun stuff when I worked for Guldstrand Engineering back in the early 90's with Corvettes, the best of times, my friend I drove with in the unlimited class of the Silver State Classic then died hitting a concrete wall in San Diego at an event similar to the style of what you showed here, accidents can be fatal.

Hemi Mike I did a couple videos similar to that. I feel ya on the editing man👌 Did you have the camera mounted on the passenger seat headrest for the in car view?

Nice video... I think you are ready for a Wide Body Scat Pack...It has the 305's all around, the most road course focused suspension of any Challenger..and 6 piston Brembos.
Just bought a 2023 scat cat widebody with a stick. I'm going to run it in the dead of summer at VIR, too hot for my formula car in July. We will see how it does with the 305's.
Awesome video man! Right now I own an rx7 rx8, and a Miata and I’m thinking of getting a scat pack challenger for daily driving, track days, was wondering how it would do during a track day, and up in the canyons. It just seems enjoyable
I really enjoy my Charger on the track! At the road coarse events I've been to this year, they have an instructor ride with you if you are in the novice or intermediate group, I know what you mean about be careful who you are running with. I plan to upgrade the sway bars on my Charger, I switched out the stock brake fluid for Motul 600 but otherwise the brakes are stock. Great video!!
Let me know which sway bar you are going to opt for. I'm going with the Castrol SRF, the highest Wet Boiling point. Just ordered the PFC racing barke pads and STOPTECH performance drilled and slotted rotors.
Had the 2 pistons ans still do. You will experience fade with the stock pads and rotor after 20 minutes of track use. I upgrade the rotors and pads with track duty parts since.
Thanks man! That nice to hear...it was fun and time consuming to do this one but worth it. I have a few more track videos if you dare to watch them...No I did not remove the rear seat since It has 3 baby seats on it. I race with all the seats, this way I always have an excuse to be slower than some! Lol...I tell them wait until I remove my 3 child seats...hahaha👍😃
@@HemiMike well i have a challenger. A v6 for now, with a few minor mods. Still fun to drive but no tracks near by to really enjoy it fully. Im in long island. Cops everywhere. also upgraded to wider rims. 9 inch in the front 10.5 in the back. big difference with that too. you can feel those big fat wheels in the back hooking and launching you foward. I don't know if you have the stock rims on there but I would go with 11" in the back with 315's if I had the V8
Hey man this looks super fun! Im looking at picking up an Auto Challenger R/T, did you just bring this thing to the track stock? What tires do you recommend? Looking to have some fun out here at Sonoma Raceway
Well dont beat on it too much stock...you will need DOT 4 brake fluid first. Tires second, brake pad and rotors 3rd before you can start to push this thing for a hole day at the track..
What exhaust are you running? I knew the manual Hemi’s sounded better but good lord! When you get on it from 2nd to 3rd wow that sound is something else. I have corsa extreme with the 8 speed on my RT so it pops and has that “tuned” sound but your car has the raw Hemi roar man it sounds so good!
