Lapidus finally just came in! Man at first sniff I just did a deep growl/chuckle and I knew right away. This is what I’ve been searching for! My wife doesn’t like it at first sniff but I don’t care. I’m going to wear the heck out of this ha ha. I already know she’ll end up loving it too. Right now I’m listening to 80s music and getting whiffs of it and it is so good. It almost brings a tear to my eye. Best smelling cheapie I have ever laid my nose on. Honestly smells better than most creeds, I’ve ever laid my nose on. This already may be my favorite fragrance of all time! Thank you so much Ramsey for putting me on the 80s scents. Hope you’re doing well, man. Just want you to know that your work is changing lives out here.

Im a hard worker when I set my mind to something but not THAT hard of a worker 😄 Ya that is something that tricked me early on in my journey with the house of creed but the more I explored the more I learned higher price doesnt always equal better .. thats just an experience thing... all these new guys in the fragrance game that think if it isnt niche its shite are falling into the same trap
@@RamseytheRam it's all a journey. I would say Roja was my Creed when I first got into it all seriously. Especially when it is all new and these expensive shiny bottles are on offer. You think, hmmmmm I want that. Once you get it the novelty wears off and you see it for what it is. The more you get into it, you find out what you love. Your nose gets more experienced and harder to fool. We all been there 😂🕺
Yes thats a great point ... i think thats why people giving their honest opinion on here is so important because people newer to the game see the flash & pizzaz and if they have a dishonest reviewer just hyping stuff up it sucks them in to the stuff that is shite.. i love all my creeds for the most part and wouldnt change my journey and how i got here for anything.. but still shite is shite 😄💩
Hi Ramsey, I have a few from Jacques Bogart. It’s great the info I’m getting from your videos. If I remember correctly the last time I wore Oud Edition it was still a detectable skin scent after at least one if not two washes.

I just got one man show today and its a bomb! Easily the strengest vintage fragrance i have, i like it but i Agree that the green notes in this is challenging and i like green frags but theres Something funky with this, but oh so stylish! Suit in a bottle😍😍
I never ventured to this line, didn't see them in UK, but did in Middle East. I was always after French or Italian houses, so ignored this and the Casanova line you mentioned too. Fell into the trap of cheaper not being good,of course now realise even more expensive doesn't necessarily mean better. Vintage as you say you have to be so careful, go beyond the stated ad title and really check the images, I've seen wildly inaccurate claims of 'earliest version' and then seen said 'earliest' version being sold elsewhere cheaply! It's all part of the fun of tracking down but thanks for your words of caution on pricing.
A couple other fragrances that smell like Paco rabanne and Bogart signature are Halston 1-12 and pour Liu. The 2020 reform if 1-12 is a crime though,so waterd down. Have to either get vintage 112 or one from at least a few years ago. How dose vintage pour Liu and vintage bogart signature stack against the modern formulation? All four of those mentioned smell alot alike and i love them all
I have a bogart signature modern vs vintage video coming in the next few weeks & actually the modern version the oscar de la renta pour lui is good but if you can get a parfums sterns or sanofi bottle that is what you want 🍻

I absolutely love Witness..got my bottle a few weeks ago..and couldn't be happier. Love the bottle too. It's funny..I bought Balenciaga a few years ago because everyone raves about it...and I thought it was horrendous.
I know I’m 9 months late to the party, but just snagged a vintage bottle of Furyo on eBay for under 60 bucks! Can’t wait to compare to my recently acquired vintage Kouros, which is absolutely stunning, btw! Blew me away! My god, it’s amazing…
I've just received oms and the little aftershave balm is full! Smell's great, I have Versace l'homme and Armani eau pour home and wanted to get the entire Roger pellegrino trio, this is like the stronger cheaper version of l'homme but quite far from eph, but you can definitely see the lineage as you smell them all, I think he did eph and vl in the same year? This one man show seems like a natural progression for everyday use though I get the same pleasure from them all, this is an excellent blend, looking forward to wearing it out and about and seeing what the reaction is like, great juice, nice content as always.
Also just thought of another phantom coconut note, there's one listed for aramis original but is there? Maybe just because as you say when they tell you it's there you smell it, although I do think I get a hint in the dry down! The new formulation is just great so I'm very happy to have a 110 ml bottle to go through too!
You must have an original bottle of Furyo. Mine opens up and feels like a waxy floral bomb. Really nice. I’m getting musk with a hint of animal. I have a bottle of Kouros with the silver shoulders. I just don’t think they’re dead ringers for each other. Kouros is more musky/animalistic….Furyo a lot more floral. I find it in the same vein as Acteur by Azzaro, or a sweeter, fruitier Pour Lui by ODL. Regardless, I’m 43…you like a lot of the same classics as me. Subscribed!

I'd love to hear your comparison between modern and vintage Ted Lapidus pour Homme. The modern one is ok but it seems muddled to my nose, and the pineapple with the animalistic note combine to give the impression of something spoiled on me.
Although it’s not noted on fragrantica 🙄, I actually thought Witness was a bit closer to Smalto PH ... another DuckLove ! Joint is definitely similar to Furyo , I prefer both as well as Lapidus ph over Kouros! But that YSL name gets respect and has clout , the understandably
I should give these houses a second try... I sampled black soul from Ted lapidus many years back, and that one scared me a little bit : spearmint followed by something sweet and spicy. weird...

I have not my favorite Davidoffs are Davidoff by Davidoff from 1984 & zino by Davidoff the lancaster version is amazing... just as good as beau du jeur & finally they make a fragrance which is a bit newer than the first two called amber blend which is a really good amber for an under the radar scent.. whats relax like?

I think it's likely to be just a happy coincidence that this fragrance gives so-called sigma-male vibes (since this was not part of the popular vernacular back in 1988). Note: There are actually two different lower-case sigmas in the Greek alphabet: one for when it appears at the ends of words (ς), and one for when it appears at the beginning or middle (σ); and the one used here at the end of Furyo is the one that wouldn't normally be used at the end of a word. Looks like my liberal arts education is finally paying off...
Antaeus was more castoreum and Furyo is more Civet ... so I get a closer association with Kouros.. but I know what you mean about the musks. . Its one of Thierry Wassers greatest inventions if you ask me 🤌🤌🤌

Furyo smells like musk heavy Chanel Antaeus.
