I had that snare and sold it after a few months. It did sound nice but was pretty loud. Also, I despise the Lightning strainer. That was the main reason I got rid of it. If they would allow you to order it with a different strainer, that would be great (like their Micro Sensitive throwoff).
@@ArchibaldLigonniere They are not easy to setup, and the bolts stripped on two different snares I had with the Lightning. I know they've made improvements since then, but it is still my least favorite strainer.
@@roybeckerman9253 The Reso head is the same with every tuning 👉 very tight. The top head though is not VERY tight, I would say it’s more on the medium-low side here rather than the medium-high.
Dear Archibald 👍🏾🥁🎸🎶🎹💪🏾

Hard to concentrate on the snare with your beautiful playing 🔥 but yeah, that thing sounds amazing! Great video 👍
This is very nice of you Glenn! 🙏
Fantastic sounding snare at all tunings. Plenty of crack and that awesome ring to it
Something about Gretsch snares. I have two myself. Both brass.
@@ronjon5386 Is one of these two the Bell Brass…? 😃
How tight are both heads on medium tuning..?
