I didn't expect for it to become a 5 course meal with desert made of despair between each one and appetizers made from my lost hours of sleep. I won't use golden parry this time cause it's personal right now... but DAMN that gold parry is the goat! Keep up the amazing work my dude.
I find comfort in seeing his runes were there before the fight started, which tells me he didn't just go in there and wrecked her. He probably struggled a bit before figuring out the perfect tactic. We can all make it fellow tarnished.

I’m convinced this is the intended way to fight her. The infinite poise paired with rapid attacks with few windows… there’s no way that wasn’t the intended strat

Had several clean attempts at her only to die at 10-20% but wound up beating her on the sloppiest run of the night using all flasks and recovering in time to perfect parry several of her attacks near death for the win. Kinda wish I'd thrown it now to go for the clean run but I suppose and hour is plenty of time to spend here and there's always run 2.
I'm currently working through trying to learn her parry timings. Probably died over 200 times.. I thought I had the side step attack down.. but then I was wrong. I don't understand why it's so inconsistent and how to make it better.
@@adamsunderland0823 I mean idk I went into the dlc lvl 104 and had a breeze through the bosses. I did rellena before dancing lion, so I was able to get most of the scadutree blessings at the beginning and for me personally it was pretty easy, not anything too difficult. If it’s still pretty hard even with all the scadutree blessings you’re definitely doing something wrong.
Protip: if you wanna start parry like him. Count 1234... everytime the boss readies an attack, within a few tries you will be able to time your parries right for him.
So in other words, every dual sword attack can be parried as well as that side dash attack, while every single sword and magic attacks should be dodged
Im ngl with any of the souls gsmes if you walked by im usually never in a boss, i dont struggle for too long with bosses a couple hours at most but this boss has me fucking tweaking.

@@AManAdrift but how is dex going to be better exactly? There are good strength weapons in dlc, like greatsword of solitude, which I used to beat Rellana, and cragblade star fists still crack everything like they do in base game.
And now she doesnt seem nearly as tough since we now KNOW she can ba parried. Its like Lady maria in bloodborne, she was tough as hell until I learned she could be parried just like everyinr else
Carian allows you to parry magic attack, this golden parry extends your parry range two step in front of you, so basically you can also parry from a certain distance from the enemy.
