Can we take a moment to appreciate how freaking awesome it is to get full, HD, high quality recordings for FREE pretty darn often nowadays? I remember when I had to hunt for VHS tapes that would be released once in a full moon and later on for DVDs and manually controlling it back and forth with a remote. Finding them was particularly difficult in my country as well. Now with a single notification showing up, wham, here we are!
Yesss! Was thinking the same when i saw this popping up
Absolutely right! Does any other band do this kind of service?
The only way I’ll get to see most of these shows
...and edited in studio.
Yeah, they pretty much became a tv channel now.
Older fan here...love these video's. And Metallica is still King and will stay King...but not so much for me I have to say :( I loved waiting and waiting and waiting for news, for live tapes, for live b-tracks or live vhs and dvd's. It was more a mystery. What will they do? Now I now this and see this performance which is 100% accurate...strange...Metallica always made small mistake...I like those mistakes...so not a big fan of this edited performances. (how they do it: like any other band. film the performance of that night, and edit the sound with oter performances till it is alomost perfect...you don't expect mr. Ulrich perfectionist to just drop a performance on the net like that :P :P). Still for younger fans it's amazing.
This was my first Metallica concert and it was the best time of my life. I have bad depression and this was the first time in a long time were I really felt happy and enjoyed myself. Music can really be the best medicine.
Amen! Don't ever give up or give in to the depression. Metallica has gotten me through some very hard times. I wonder if they know how many people they have touched and lives they have saved.
I also have really bad depression and Metallica had helped me through the worst times of my life. I get to see them again in a few weeks and I can’t wait. Hang in there friend.
❤
Was there both nights. Therapeutic metal! Flawless!!!
I feel you brother , outside of my daughter concerts are one of the only things that bring me true joy. Seen Metallica 7 times soon to be 8 and I can’t wait
This song is so good
Can't believe it's been nearly 35 years since I first sat in my bedroom rocking out to this.
Rob leaned over the barrier and gave me a hug before their set. Great guy❤
Wanna rewrite that so it makes sense?
@@Ih8liarsandusers I think it was past the barrier, not passed the barrier...?
@@IanLMusic Yes, I wrote that from my other account. Sorry.
Great guy, Worst Bassist
@@Ih8liarsandusers English is not my first language. He leaned over the barrier to hug me.
Honest to God....one of the BEST bands of ALL TIME! So glad I've had the opportunity to see them in concert several times. ❤
Yessss
We love you Metallica 🔥
James smiling at Kirk singing backup vocals is great 🤘🏻
5:40 yeah, man he's getting a kick outta Kirky baby. I love it too.
That smile says, “Kirky, no matter how hard you try, you will never hit it like the other guy! Man, we screwed up”.
@@nwindlt LMAO
Greatest Metallica riff!
This brings back childhood memories from first time i listened through ...And justice, and this song stayed in my head for days. HARVESTER OF SORROW, BANG LA BANG LA LAA
most humid concert ive ever been to.. soaked with sweat.. still an amazing time. they never disappoint.
Oh right Friday and Saturday were crazy humid!! I went Sunday much cooler with the rain
Sunday was the better of both nights 🌙
i saw limp bizkit 2 days before this and even Fred durst said that it was humid and he was from jacksonville
imagine how they felt lol
@@lancegallardo3437 must have been cooking
Damn James sounds so great after all this years! I dare to say that his voice is even better!
Totally agree
lol no. He sounds good, but lets not lie to ourselves.
@@NPK476 He's definitely a better singer. Maybe his singing isn't as aggresive like in 80's and 90's but overall... his voice is just better
I think he does too. Tbh I think his current deeper voice sounds better than it did when he was younger. It sounds more impactful and heavy if that makes any sense, which only enhances their music imo.
Yes, after their S&M and his return I thought he was done for. Somehow, he came back just as strong as back then. I have NO idea how he did it.
It's a shame for other bands though because, for example, I cannot listen to Dream Theater anymore, their singer just spoils the whole thing live so I stick to recordings or the occasional nice live performance.
This was my first ever metallica concert and just back to back songs for 2+ hours ... these guys are machines
it's amazing especially considering they're all around 60 years old and still rocking like they're in the 80s 🔥
Was here. Absolute last row at top of stadium. Damn near broke my neck head-banging.
amen brother
I went back in 2017 and was up there in the last section. Went down to the field this time around. Amazing! Worth the ridiculous ticketmaster fees.
Thanks for coming to Boston, James and gang. Gave me a reason to revisit that town with my wife, and take my 14 and 15 year old daughters to their first ever concert. You guys are like fine wine, constantly getting better and better. I hope you keep doing this.
I'm 18 and this was my first concert ever. I'm going to remember this.
I was about 18 when I saw them on the Black Album tour. I haven't enjoyed their newer stuff but And Justice For All and the 3 before it are still favorites. And they sound pretty good playing the old stuff still.
Im telling you guys first hand... They were ON FIRE that night. Lars was so tight and James' voice was so good. The guitars were so loud and clear. Much better sound than when I saw them at Foxborough and Philly in 2017.
Yes they were!
real! where i was first day i was next to bass amps so it was a bit goofy but it was awesome, did u see the moshpits during for whom the bell tolls second night
Night 2 was even better
@@scottistradnight 2 had the better setlist! 🔥
@@alextanguay5886I think they do that intentionally cause the nights that I went to in Seattle were good but night 2 was a dream set
4:30 chills when they all come together
The best night of my daughter and my life, we were their that night!
Thank you Metallica for sticking around thru the decades……your music has pulled me thru in times if need🤘🤘🤘🤘
This song sounds way more awesome live
Roberto always interacting with the crowd, I love it! 🤘🖤
I'm 15 and have been a tallica fan my whole life. I wouldn't have picked any other band to go see live for my first real concert ever. 2 nights ill never forget.
James hasn't sounded this good since the early 90s. I'm convinced it's the cigars lol. Weird note: I have seen them 8 times live and they played this song every time, even though it's not a huge staple of their setlist. One of my faves.
The smoking is definitely giving him his raspy voice back. Surprising to hear some of these vocal sounds coming from him so late in their career, but its awesome to get to hear it
@@Madmetalmaniac42069 Cigar smoke isn't inhaled. It does nothing to the vocals or lungs.
@@Salomon_GSomeone call the Surgeon General! Second hand smoke is a myth! Come on, man.
@@jabedoben I never said that. Smoking cigars doesn't add richness to vocals like these dudes are saying up here. Smoking (and inhaling) is horrible for vocalists. The real myth is acting like it's good for them.
@@Salomon_G It was a joke man. Check out the lol after cigars. You insinuated that cigar smoke has no affect on someone's throat because the smoke isn't inhaled. I pointed out that it does have an affect, positive or negative, because second hand smoke exists.
This was my first Metallica concert and I went with my Dad. To see him headbang like it was the 80's was an unforgettable experience. Thank you Metallica.
A lot of people saying they were there that night. Well, so was I! I completely lost my shit when they played this. Coming right out of Creeping Death and into this is such a high intensity way to start a show. I was completely blown away. They were unreal!
still rocking as hard as ever 40 years later 🔥
My son’s first Metallica show, my second (1994). It was a GREAT SHOW! Blessed to share it with my son… he LOVED IT!!!
took my brother had tickets on the first row. First time seeing Metallica and hands down best concert of my life! I hope to see them again live before they hand up the guitars and drumsticks.
My first Metallica concert
same... my first concert in general, too
@@IanLMusic me too
Same
Same. I had a blast
I seen them 6 times
Went to this show, and they were absolutely incredible. Thank you guys so much for all of the wonderful memories you gave me. You literally shaped my life. I cannot thank you enough for that.
Both shows this past weekend were absolutely electric… never been so happy with floor tickets
I love Harvester, always did. ❤️🤘🖤
I was there!!! Best weekend of my life. I'll never forget finally seeing my favorite band!!
My first Metallica concert was the "And Justice for All" tour, 1989. Queensryche, of all bands opened for them that night. Sorrow is my favorite song on that album. 35 years later, still sounds amazing. :)
Still gives me happy tears that I was there 🤘😎
i was there this was my first metallica concert and also the best weekend of my life thank you metallica for all the joy you brought me those two nights
I was at this show! The first three songs Creeping Death, Harvester Of Sorrow, and Leper Messiah had this incredible energy! I felt like I was watching 80s Metallica!
I like that they can walk around the stage and interact with the fans.I like that that's awesome.God bless you man, stay safe and stay.Blessed brothers ☆metallica☆ world☆
First Metallica show for me! It was a last minute ticket purchase the morning of...Paid 54 bucks on TickPick for a nosebleed seat. I didn't care, I just wanted to be there! Ended up roaming around when I got there and stood over a rail watching the first 1/3 of the show. Ended up getting bold and moved lower and lower until right before Orion I walked down past the ushers and made my way onto the floor!! Didn't think it would work but it did. Had the time of my life the whole night! Top tier experience
Argentina & Uruguay 🤝🤝🤟🤟
They're sounding better than never!
I was there! first concert i've ever been to and it was fucking awesome! Long live Metallica🤟🤟
their best live song imo. that intro punches you in the chest
Lethal Song! Was even better during the Black Album tour in Russia !!! Masterpiece!
For my first time seeing Metallica live, there was not a single time I was disappointed these two nights.
One the heaviest songs they have and sounds super heavy🔥🔥🔥🔥
That might be one of their best performances of this track, it really had the energy and dynamics
This audio/video quality is incredible
I never bothered to listen to this. Now, after 30 years and 4 concerts it finally clicked, what a song
Un argentino! presente 🇦🇷 haciendo aguante!!!
YEAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Legitimately sounding the best they’ve ever sounded in their careers. The sound is so tight in every performance of every song now. Lars is KILLING IT now.
Boomers will say their peak was 88-91's lol
@@themoralisticwolfYou weren't there. 😉
@@themoralisticwolfI mean they are right that's when they sounded the best. Now don't get me wrong they sound good but not as good as the 80s and 90s. And no I'm not a boomer I'm 17
@@themoralisticwolf That's because it's true.
I was there! Amazing concert
The best band in the world, I worship you 🛐
This was my first Metallica concert ❤
Lars intro to that sounded like a Viking ship drummer beating time up to war speed. And Kirk's solo was on point too. Fucking awesome. Salute the old gods still. 🤘🙂🤘
We are Metallica Family.
You are not alone. 🤘
I was there That Night It was My Second Metallica Concert And I was so Stoked When They started playing Harvester Of Sorrow And Crepping Death Was awesome to
I was at this show and told my lil bro the 2 songs I hoped to hear tonight was Creeping Death and Harvester of Sorrow.... and they opened the show with those 2 songs!! Great fuckin' show!
I was there that night, the second night was pouring and i had to work late the night before. Sold my ticket for the 2nd show. Here reliving great memories. The crowd was SO fired up too, it was great seeing you guys come back to MA!!!!
I was there on the second night. The rain sucked but they made it work for a great night. Got to drink more beer though!
@@michaelking42 Glad to know the rain was bad, honestly. Makes me not regret missing it lmaoo
I knew they would release this song live. That was such a great show.
I love you, Metallica🤘🤘
It's M72 week in Chicago, and Holy Sh*t, I finally get to see my first Metallica concert !!! 🤘
I’m jealous. Enjoy the show
@@Ashefckeoofjfnfnwiozkf Thank you!!! I'm down here for day one currently. I'm totally geeking out 🤘🤘🤘🤘

Thank you METALLICA ! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Such a great show. My first Metallica concert after being a fan for most of my life.
You never forget your first Metallica concert.
Same. It was the best weekend of my life.
I have been 9 times.
I missed this show...@@John_Locke_108
SAME! I'm 42 and have been a fan since i was like 15. First time I got there to see them. Incredible experience!
I seen them 6 times
Super Lucky too have metallica still going strong..... Way too cool.
Watching from nepal 🇳🇵my favorite band
This concert was such a blast, they hit every song out of the stadium🤘 I was fortunate enough to see both concerts and I’m happy to say I won’t be able to speak for a few days haha
same! nursing a sore throat from screaming my lungs out lol
This was my first Metallica concert and it was awesome! I got to go to both nights really close to the stage!! They even played inamorta
Legendary. This shit never gets old.
Great weekend of shows (minus the weather and traffic). Long live the mighty Metallica!!!
I was getting nervous they would postpone or cancel Sunday night with the storms passing though. We stood out there soaking wet, feeling a little down. Metallica hits the stage and it's like FUCK YEAH! All worth it.
Traffic at Foxborough is insane!! Costs around 100 to get out of there 😮
Yeah that traffic was rough but so worth it
@@burningkarma absolutely!!!
@@alextanguay5886 Friday night was absolutely awful trying to get out of there! Sunday night wasn't much better, but did go a tad faster.
This was an amazing show. Surprised my 11 year old son with the trip to this show. He was stoked and loved it! His first metallica concert. I asked him if he wanted to see them again someday and he excitedly said oh yeah! So my response was good....cause were going again sunday night lol. Both shows were awesome, even wirh the rain on sunday night
All the down picks played by james and kirk are accurate. On point.
On this lengthy tour so far, he's been doing great!! Never let me down.
I was there both nights. Such a sick weekend. Great to hear stuff like Leper Messiah, Until It Sleeps, The Day That Never Comes, and Orion / Ktulu live… love these deep cuts!!!!
Good to see myself lol, always wanted to be able to see myself at one of their shows! Rock on Metallica!! 🤘🤘
My guy at 2:24 will never forget that dab up for his entire life 🤘🏼🤌🏼
James said "right now" for end up signal 🤘🤘🤘
I was here live for this… dammit, they’re metal gods!!!
Metallica could tour forever just playing the songs from there 1st 4 records and everyone would be quite happy .☺
When James' riff goes from clean to distorted it has to be one of the heaviest moments in music history …
I was at this one, it amazes me that even after over 40 years they still sound soooo good, I had a fantastic time with my dad, Metallica is my favorite band, and Pantera is one of his favorites, both Metallica and Pantera sounded so awesome live. I'm glad I live in a time where i got to see both live, such an amazing experience
Best song
Always a live favourite, it's incredible that with Metallica's body of work this song doesn't get played every night.
James is sounding great and looking strong and healthy! They just sound better and better with time! I've been a huge fan since the 80s and I will love them forever ❤
This sounds so good live it’s crazy
Metallica The Best 🤘🤘🤘🤘
This show rocked rob walked right by me playing during this!!!🤘🏽
My favorite Metallica song 🤟
I was here! Such a great show! ❤ thank you guys!
Best nights of my life 🤘 5th and 6th time seeing Metallica live front row both nights, best experiences I’ve ever had seeing them
James to have this much energy still and passion. Unbelievable. Metallica is the best!
FOXBOROUGH BABY!!!!!! 🤘
Controlled chaos. Boston got a fuckin rocking tea party!
Harvester of sorrow is such an amazing song.
Both nights were fricking amazing. God tier setlist. These guys are somehow better than they were over a decade ago. Props to them.
Yeah, technology like backing tracks and autotuning has improved greatly.
now a little mix of metallica open your ears and enjoy listening wow
actually being able to listen to the bass on the And Justice for All songs gives this a whole different vibe I..I/
Great show…missed them in NY last year and made the 4 hour drive. Was absolutely worth it. Haven’t missed a tour since the Shit in the Shed tour summer of 94. Still ripping it
💀
Still going this strong and selling out stadiums at their age is just amazing.
Im a guitarist that idols these guys forever and i must say the drumming sounds pretty tight.
Papa Het changed his shirt pretty quick that evening. Humid af in New England.
My favorite band forever!!
