dick as usual your podcasts are mind bending stories , with truth and humour , with your shake down crew , are a joy to see Adam and his wife, it is so exciting to see and hear their love of the sea and each other , a little tear let me down, I did mine on refined cargo tanker, and all the things that. You see in the whole Atlantic ,north to south, are a picture book of memories plus the odd trip in to the Caribbean Sea ,sum times when I am in my cups , when I talk , you let stuff out , you get that look as if you are making it up , not so says I, living it ,is to see it. Deep blue water is fun but not to be taken lightly , the lords of the deep must be given their respect , if you don’t , well Davey Jones has a place for you, he has a lot of real estate just pick your spot.EDH .

Dick’s point at 31:55 reminds me of the OceanGate submersible “accident,” which is not a close parallel because the company was blind to the ever increasing risk with each dive.

If Adam sees this he really should put hashtags in his new TH-cam channel that link to his main TH-cam sailing channel. Because the new TH-cam channel popped up in my recommendations a few weeks ago but I never even watch the video because I’m behind on other videos that I know for sure I wanna watch. So I didn’t want to expand out. But if I knew he was in it I would’ve checked it out before.

Regarding Dick's insight that the industry has gone toward less blue-water under carriages, in particular that only a small fraction of sailors actually sail bluewater, I agree, Further, however, I suspect the trend toward fuller sterns and dual blade rudders has to do with wanting to counter the live aboard experience of cats, Of course, that does not change the fact that cats just are not what is aappropriate or ideal for bluewater sailing. Yes, this is all driven by what the market wants - which is not always wise.

Forgive me Dick I saved this pod cast on account of moving to Greece an aboard our Moody 38 first time yacht owner etc it’s been manic, then comes the three months we have to spend in Bulgaria and Romania to be out of the Schengen area and I find there’s only one episode , please tell your ok and there will be more as I absolutely love it
