I LOVE Luke and Bobbi... this scene is great so reminiscent of the great scenes in the 79-80 playlist with the fantastic sibling dynamics. Luke needs Barbara Jean in 2009!!
I agree about Luke and Bobbie's dynamic. She always set him straight, even if it ticked him off. Bobbie has also grown up a lot, and her dynamic with Laura was good as well. Laura and Bobbie's relationship was good through this era, and they really helped each other through some tough times. It is sad that we don't see all 3 onscreen together any more. I also kind of miss Tony Jones. I felt he balanced Bobbie's character well, and had a really great relationship with Luke and Laura.
They literally reduced Jackie Zeman to a recurring role in 2010. Never gave her another leading storyline. So not only did Luke not have Laura, he also didn't see much of Bobbie and Ruby had passed. They literally tore Luke to shreds and gave him Tracy Q instead. May 2023 Jackie has recently passed away, she was always such a great actress. She should have been the head nurse at GH. She should have had more storylines besides being Carly's mother. Another big screw up vy the GH writers and TPTB.
I agree wholeheartedly with everything you say. Bobbie could have been a different version of Audrey for sure. Imagine if they had not killed off Tony Jones and he became Chief of Staff to Bobbie's Head Nurse? The plots used to revolve mostly around the hospital, now not so much. Luke being with Tracey made not one lick of sense, just as much as Luke with Felicia (which, in my mind, was the worst pairing in soap opera history).
@@isaiahhill2104 That is so sad, she was such an amazing actress and gave us a wonderful portrayal of Bobbie Spencer. So basically when they couldn't negotiate a fair contract with Genie Francis, they reduced Bobbie's role.
@@lisacarman167 I think Genie and Jackie were two separate situations. GF allegedly wanted off the show due to harassment from a producer (possibly JFP). Jackie however got switched to recurring around the time Anna Lee, Kristina Wagner, and Shell Kepler did in 03’. It was probably because of Frons or budget issues.
@@isaiahhill2104 But they could pay TG over 1/2 million for his 9 months of work. All Genie wanted was a contract that allowed her to have 6 weeks off to spend with her family each year. So she didn't sign and left GH and made movies for Hallmark and her husband.
