@@debikaysims9389 That was not true in the 2000's. Luke became a drunk alcoholic and blamed Laura for trapping him in a marriage with kids he never wanted and a mortgage he never wanted. Even Tracy told this to Laura in 2008. He hated living in that house with her and the kids. What makes me upset is he lied to Laura, he acted like she was the only thing that mattered in his life and that he wanted the same things she did. He always knew she wanted to raise a family, hell if she had her way it would have been on the Whitakers farm. He even took her on their honeymoon to the farm in Beacher's Corners. She would have been so much better off to never have married Luke. She should have had some fun, begged Scotty for forgiveness and repaired her marriage to him. It would have been fun and entertaining to watch her and Scotty constantly arguing and making up. So much better than the 35 years of heartache and torture he put Laura through and broke all the GH fans hearts.

Although it was a shared blame, I shift a slightly larger burden on Luke, as he said he could love her through anything, yet he couldn't stand that she slept with two Cassadines during her CAPTIVITY. Emphasis given due to the fact that once he got over his hurt pride at this, which took a few years, they started slowly wending their way back together. He begins to understand the duress she was under during that time. Had he realized this a hell of a lot sooner, and been more empathetic instead of hotheaded and butt hurt, I don't think they would have gotten divorced. Eh, soaps....
