    The best tutorial ever!!!! I have struggled so much for so long and couldn’t get my rivoli to stay inside the beading. Thank you so much, I am on a roll now making lots. Doreen.

    Another great tutorial. I always had trouble bezeling my rivolis because I was using too many delicas.

    I find it really interesting that you use 30 delicas as your base for 12mm rivoli as most everyone else seems to use 32. I've been struggling with bezeleling the 14mm I got as most use 36 beads for a base but that always seemed loose to me. I just finally got some charlottes. They're actually listed as 13/0's but I'm pretty sure they're smaller than my 15/0's as I compared them on a needle.

      Hi Katie! Many Delica/Rivoli charts list either 30 Delicas or 30-32 Delicas, depending on the chart. The general rule of thumb is to take the milimeter size of the Rivoli and multiple by 2.5 - The number you get is your Delica count unless you get an odd number, in which case you add 1 Delica to get to the even number. That being said, now and then there can be a slight discrepancy in bead size that may cause someone to have to bump a little higher (like 32) - but that mathematical formula is most often pretty accurate and useable. :-) -Leah

    I use the 13/0 Charlottes a lot ...and love them so much...but I didn't realize the 15's were so much smaller than the Japanese 15's.

      Yeah it can be tricky but they are so wonderful for bezels because of this quality!

    I find that using 15/0 tohos and 15/0 miyukis works well too because the miyukis are skinnier/thinner that tohos. Thank you for the informative video. I have been wondering why my bezels haven't been turning out quite as snug around the rivoli as I'd like and just before watching your video I found that using miyuki for both rows of 15/0's will not work because too much thread will show or there's a gap between where I started and ended with the 15/0's.

      Aha! I like the idea of working on the inside of the ring as well. It seems like it would be easier to set the rivoli in that way. You're awesome.

    Great video! Be forewarned, though. Waxing fireline will strip it of components that keep it from dry rotting! In time, the fireline will crumble like any monofilament.

    • @EurekaCrystalBeads
      @EurekaCrystalBeads  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting, that's the first I've heard of that - and many of the "master" beaders wax their FireLine. I'll have to look into this further!! Thanks!

    • @badaspunkbtch
      @badaspunkbtch 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have one of the largest beading societies in the country and this seems to be the concensus. I hadn't heard that, either until I joined. But, I only started using fireline recently. I love learning from you and I'm really glad you didn't take my sharing as criticism! :)

    • @katielyb
      @katielyb 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just prefer not waxing Fireline because it seems to hold tighter when I don't. When I've tried waxing it, my thread wants to loosen it stretch as I work.
