Putting is key. Inside 3 feet, 6 feet & 10 feet should be practiced regularly. Great vid!
Thank you!
Very well said MISTAH :) I've said this before and I'll say it again, for the benefit of your viewers and anyone reading this- I am a 51 year old and I've had over 30 surgeries to my right leg, including a knee replacement. I've had issues with that leg since I was born and I do walk with a limp. I took golf up in a semi serious way just a year and a half ago and although I don't hit the ball very far (max drives are maybe 220), I keep the ball in play, I'm good with my wedges and my putting is average. If I can break 80, anyone can and I really mean that. But as is said here, half the battle is between the ears. Avoid penalty strokes at all costs, stay relaxed and you'll be on your way!
Thank you so much!
Conservative targets, aggressive swings. Good information today, well done and thank you!
Thank you Les!
Sorry, please remind me which ball you play
Srixon ZStar
@@mistahshorthitter thanks!
You have to love the game and your viewership playing at 38 degrees.
It's for the viewers!
Great course management explanation.
Thank you!
I try to play all winter, but 38° is my limit. Low winds 🥶 good stuff!
Thank you!
Great video. I noticed that you play the holes with a controlled low blood pressure. Well done. Being relaxed and calculated lowers the score more than you think. I play with a martial arts thought, “Don’t forget to breathe.” I’m hoping to score par with these thoughts. I’m working hard with speed training right now!!!!
Thank you so much!
@@mistahshorthitter I am jealous of you playing. We are at 4 degrees right now, under 8” of snow
@@DrPapa14 Filmed that in December around Christmas. No golf here now.
Nicely done! You think the "neighbors" are wondering who the heck you're talking to?
😂😂
Very solid advice. Certainly applies to golfers at all levels. Even though my confidence level would be lower than yours for a specific shot , the decision making process is the same. Thanks MSH. "Hit'em straight "
You got it Arnold!!
Great stuff as always - thanks MSH!
Thank you so much!
Great Vid Mr S H. Nice swing as always.
This is a great example of shooting good scores and not having to be a youngster to hit it 300. Playing to your strengths and good course management. Looking forward to more vids.
Thank you for watching!
So much great strategy-you are helping me so much thinking my way around the golf course-you are my favorite!!!!
David that means so much to me!!
I really like your course management and the way you think about how to play each shot.
Thank you!
A whole bunch of great tips in this video. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for watching!
Thank you for all you do! You have really helped my swing/game out. Keep ‘em coming…
Thank you for watching! More to come!
I love your shots with the fairway woods, especially in the Highwood. It would be really cool if you could announce what ball you’re using when you’re playing rounds like this. I watch your reviews of golf balls and I also watch the golf ball addict. You probably know about his golf ball reviews but therefore the 90 mile an hour swinger.
I take for granted that long time viewer's know l play Srixon ZStar. I'll try to remember in the future. Thank you!
I like how Mistah swings the club back!
Thank you so much!!
This is excellent stuff! Everyone should know their strengths & limitations & play percentages to shoot better scores. The thoughts about what to do and strategy add to the fun of the game, as long as you're not that person being over analytical and slowing play way down. Golf is way easier when you think about what you are going to do instead of what not to do.
Thank you so much Chris!
Your putting stroke sure does look a lot better left hand low👍
Thank you! Video coming soon on that!
Another great video. Thanks.
Thank you!
Thanks MSH.
Thank you!
Excellent "in the trenches" educational video.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for the tips
Thank you for watching!
Lot of good course management tips MSH!! Good quote "You don't have to hit hero shots, only good shots"!!🏌♀⛳
Thank you!
"Practice 150 and in, get good and you'll score"....Jonn Daley
Keep it in play off the tee, play what the course gives ya. Use the traffic light system to know when to go it. Like your thought process.
You got it Bradley! I recently seen another big TH-camr using the traffic light system. It made me slightly agitated lol.
Great video, well presented 👍
Thank you Craig!
Great video! I used many of your tips and a lot of attention to your tempo to shoot a 79 last Fall. Does it still count if the course was a par 70 though?
Yes, it counts! Great job!
Under 80 is under 80
You are the best
Thank you for your support!!
For me to break 80 is to play to ur strengths and don't gamble on shots that are low percentage. Don't try to hit to flags that hidden over bunkers or hazard close to pin. Play to the safe side of green, even if u 3 putt u taken away double or worse. Play for pars and bogies, if a birdie comes long that's plus. Don't think too far ahead on ur score, I concentrate on 3 hole stretches and try to reach a score for them.
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing this and venturing out on such a marginal day. Several good tips for me in their. Thanks again.
Thank you for watching!
I think "managing expectations" is one of the most difficult skills in golf. Most players think they will hit the "super recovery" shot instead of playing to their strengths and skill level. I see it all the time...even on a simulator...some things never change.
Thank you Mike! Hopefully, watching these videos help some of those golfers think a little better!
Fairways, greens, up and downs, and take your medicine. Oh yeah, play the proper tees. Driver distance * 27 or 5 iron/hybrid distance * 36 is a good approximation. Gotta be honest though. My max is 6000 yards for example. My advice, work on your short game and putting first. There’s a reason they say drive for show, putt for dough.
Thank you for watching,!
Great playing. Im working every round to play the smarter shots like this. MSH, Im curious how long your set is, because I know you got fitted. I recently found out my irons should be a 1/4 inch shorter than standard, curious how this translates into fairways and driver.
My irons are 1/4 short, hybrids and fairway 1/2 short and driver 3/4 short
@@mistahshorthitterThank you!!! These were about the numbers I was guessing to stay consistent through the bag. Awesome!
That's how I play! 😊
Thank you for watching! I guess it really will be your last video then 😁
Great video MSH. Quick question: what do you use to record and show the lines for ball trajectory?
Shottracer. I think it's $100 per year
Thx MSH. Have a great Sunday!
MSH, I a 8 Handicapper but have lost control of my driver and 3 wood tee shots. Lost my swing with woods. Any advice or video to assist would be great. Next club in bag is 4 iron.
You got it!
I'd be happy to break 90 all the time.
Keep watching!
38°?? I'm in. If I was home I woukd be playing in exactly these temperatures.
Thank you for watching!
If I can't play, I gotta watch. Heck, I got your video playing while watching pga 😂😂😂
I miss golf
Happy to help! 😁
Quick question, not that it matters but what ball were you playing?

Fantastic choice, especially in the wind
Thought this was Katt Williams
What? You have got to be kidding....
Don’t try hero shots, play shots that leave good shots. Break the cycle of hitting a tough shot and creating another tough shot…that’s my takeaway from the video.
Thank you Bruce!
Easy..Walk off after 15?
😂😂
Play to your strengths and avoid your weaknesses, enjoying your videos 😀⛳️🏌️♂️
