The Ed Sullivan site forgets to credit the last song in the medly, "Keeping Out Of Mischief Now" (1937). The Supremes usually performed at least two songs whenever they appeared on variety shows like Ed Sullivan: their latest record (for the teenagers) and a standard (to appease the parents). The Supremes' appeal transcended generations.
I grew up less than 2 hours from Detroit in the 1960’s. Motown ruled the airwaves back then! That label had seemingly endless talent, and the Supremes were up at the top of the roster! Peace
Yhe Supreme's song Love Child has the best backing music of their songs. The societal problems of having a Love Child are not the same these day, but the song is still great.
Thanks for sharing this! The Supremes covered almost every area of music vocally accept opera. Diana Ross & Mary Wilson are flawless with their individual styles of presentations in song. Ms. Wilson's Sexy suave style & alto filler voice against Ms. Ross' all around persona are beautiful together.. Cindy Birdsong is the new Supreme,, replacing the Beloved soulful Florence Ballard,, is a delight.. Thanks for sharing this treat!

Glad you guys are checking out the Ed Sullivan performances. They were on that show so many times, Mary Wilson nicknamed it The Supremes Show. 😊
It made Diana Ross a gigantic star

Me, too. Hello, fellow Michigander!
Thanks you beautiful couple❤
Fats Waller is featured in the movie Stormy Weather, which is a fascinating movie loaded with music from that era. It's well worth watching!
"Anywho"! Where are you picking up American jargon? It's great.
