  • Out for a trip into town, glanced down and saw 200kph without any effort. I thought I was only doing about 140. All the time accompanied by that ZZR1100 engine sound. Does it get any better than that.

    The ZX11 is such a capable motorcycle. Held the fastest production bike title for many years.. It is certainly a leader in my stable of motorcycles and will get to 125 mph in a heartbeat with capabilities of quickly getting to much faster speeds as you most certainly know. I love my 1994 ZX11D and plan to pass it on to my son one day.

    I was on the dual carriageway on my 11 the other night. I was on 130mph and it was still throwing me off the back with brutal acceleration. I had to hold on with my knees and wrists to stop me flying off the back. I might aswell have been doing 70, with the same ferocity. Crazy old bike. Love looking at it shining in my garage ❤

      It is indeed a great motorcycle mate. I am lucky to have the ZZR1100 and a ZX14R and the 1100 is such fun to ride. No electronics just your right hand and mind to keep you out of trouble. Not to mention that fantastic engine sound!! Ride fast and safe mate.

      @@MichaelZZRrider Words of a real old school motorcyclist! We belong to the same breed, as you say, mate! Are you from Australia? Since 2003 my bike is a 1984 ZX1A GPZ 900 R and I'm still in love with her... And for sure, you too, ride fast and safe! Greetings from Brazil!

      @@andreferro4618 English originaly but lived in Asia for nearly 20 years. I now live in the Philippines. GPZ 900R, the bike that started the true sport bike segment. I remember riding one in 1985. I was riding a Honda CBX 1000 at the time (a wonderful bike in it own right) I could not believe how light and fast it was. Another of the great Kawasaki's. How about putting a video of your 900 on youtube.

      @@MichaelZZRrider How nice you know my beloved old lady! It's a long story... She still is in the USA with my son and his bike (1985 Hnda VF 1000 R RG) because I lived in that Country for 15 years. In 2008 because of the crises, I had to come back to Brazil. I worked for MarineMax Stuart, FL and now I work for BR MARINAS in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro. She will be here soon and as long as I have my beloved bike in my hands again, I will let you know, okay? By the way, your definition for the GPZ is SPOT ON! Thank you! I have a neighbor in the place where I live called Chris. He used to work for the Lloyds British and moved many years ago to Brazil to work with VEROLME Shipyard here in Angra. He fell in love with his wife and remains here till today! That's my other passion: SHIPS... Nice to meet you!

    Ir en moto en manga corta sin protecciónes no es nada seguro te lo digo por experiencia

    • @MichaelZZRrider
      @MichaelZZRrider  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I am pushing it I wear full protection. This was taking it easy. Of course one can never be 100% safe and indeed I had many accidents when I was younger and spent many weeks bandaged up owing to gravel rash, however, riding in full gear in 35c and 90%+ humidity for short journeys is impractical. Is there a risk? Of course there is but riding a bike is always courting risk. At the end of the day I make a decision based on my experience. If I get it wrong I pay the price.
