ps1 are CD, PS2 are DVD PS3 are Blu-ray,PS4 are Blu-ray too. whoever put a Blu-ray disc in a CD player sure won't work

Please turn off the Play Station 1 before switching the game out. I think it could malfunction the game. I do not know if it does, but that is required to keep your PlayStation machine on in Metal Gear Solid and Onimusha 4 when it tells you to switch the disc, and keep the machine on, and then switch the disc, but only do it when it tells you to.

The PS1 uses CD discs. the PS4 uses Blu-Ray discs. Simple as that.

When you put in the Play Station 4 disc in the Play Station 1, I thought it would show that red screen of death. The red screen of death is different between Play Station 1 and 2.

I’ve gotta call this out as a fake. PlayStation 4 games will absolutely work in a PS1, but there is a trick to it. What you have to do is hold down the x button on controller 1 as you boot it up. I’ve done it myself many times. If you can get it the first time keep trying. Eventually it will work, guaranteed.

There is a Gameshark code that I made that actually can do that. I also found out that you can even play N64 games on a playstation by connecting a 25 pin printer cord to the back of a psx gameshark and connecting the other end to the back of a nintendo 64 gameshark. turn them both on and connect the red white yellow from the psx to the tv and load the psx screen with the lid open. Then just disconnect the psx from the tv and plug in the red white and yellow from the 64 to the back of the tv while you leave the psx on. YOU ARE PLAYING THE GAME THROUGH THE PSX!!!! Don't believe it? Just reconnect the cords from the psx and you will see that it is still running!!!!!!!! AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly, my PS1 is gone, and I can't afford a PS3 or 4, but I have found that the PS2 is relatively good at reading PS4 games. Sure there are some frame rate issues, but that's the price I have to pay.
