Spot on review, this. Clear, no waffle and straight to the point.
These guides and critiques are always great, thank you.
Glad you liked it takes time to make but should cover more than most videos
I'm using an XProS with a single off-camera TT685S, but can't get them to communicate for some reason. You cover this a little around 7:30-8:30ish, but I can't see exactly how to connect the 685 to my XProS. Any recommendations?
Assuming the flash is in the correct wireless mode (ie radio not the optical) then if it's on the same channel it should fire and adjust settings as you do on the controller.
Mr Baz Reviews I got it, thank you!
Hi and thanks for the review! Currently I have the X2T trigger with the Godox V1 and AD100 flash off camera. By default when using the trigger, I am only able to turn both flash modeling lights on collectively, not individually. Does the XPro allow me to turn on the flash modeling lights individually? I don’t want all modeling lights on at the same time, just one. Thanks!
I believe it is per group you can turn on/off the modelling lights, however I did read this thread which might also be of use.
www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4547084
When using key and filling light, can I sincronize them both under the same chanel and group or do I need to set one of the strobes as an slave? I am using flashpoint 400PRO (godox). Thanks for your amazing review.
Set the flash to slave then you can adjust the power output you want on it as a fill light
Great video. Thanks for producing it. Question: I have several SK400 strobes and an AD600Pro. They all work well with my Xpro C but my Xpro S only seems to communicate with the AD600. Any thoughts?
Have you updated the firmware on the Xpro S? And also the other units there are bug fixes from time to time
@@MrBazReviews I’ll do that. I just seem to have gotten it to work. Changed the channel to 10 on the trigger and the light. Nothing. Changed both back to 1. Bingo!
Great. What happens if I use a V860II as a master on a different camera, with different flash settings? The slaves fire differently depending on which camera triggered them?
Master unit sends the signal to the slave that includes the settings/power level so another master will if it's on the same channel set them as it is set. You can set them the same or different not sure it's something I would use but it can be done
i have Godox X-Pro flash trigger, X1R receiver, Canon 600EX-RT and Godox V860iic speedlites, camera is Canon 5D mark IV, i need to synchronize these all speedlites and flash triggers - receiver and transmitter. how i can do that?
I'm a bit late but..

Hey Baz, I can't seem to get any compensation changes on TTL from the xpro to translate onto the AD200 or 400.....manual syncs the changes though. is there some weird thing that I might have on or set?
Should work try a reset on both units
Mr Baz Reviews just tried that and couldn't get it to work still.....weird that it's only this that's not adjusting on two different flashes
@@MrWillstauk Check the firmware and update if needed on the Xpro and AD units
@@MrBazReviews No update available for the AD200 pro yet and no instructions avail on how to update the 400pro. this is the only downside to Godox gear
@@MrWillstauk Not sure on this should work if it's on the same group/channel, the Xpro can be set to TTL with compensation - should transmit that to the receiver units. Unless you try looking on forums. Very strange
My trigger doesn't show the camera icon at the top and my camera is not reading the trigger. Any suggestions ?
Which camera? Have you tried cleaning the contacts on the hot shoe that can sometimes be an issue
@@MrBazReviews just figured it out. I needed to shove it all the way in. I have an a7riii
Just received the Godox xpro(s) flash trigger and tried to link it up to the Godox TT350(s) but can't even get a test fire. Followed your video to the letter and couldn't get the flash to fire at all with the trigger mounted on the hot shoe of a Sony a6500. Please advise. Been watching your other videos related to this and just can't seem to get the flash to fire. Thank you Mr. Baz.
Thanks for letting me know
XPro-S -TTL will not work when setting F4 or higher(F2.8 - F1.4) on godox ad200 or ad600. It will underexpose the larger your aperture the more underexpose it will be. When will Godox address this issue? They keep promising a firmware update to fix this but i've been waiting for over a year now.
Problem is I don't have the AD200 or 600 to test, didn't see any problems with the flashes I had with it. They usually do update firmware this got one, hopefully they will bring out some soon for those units. Is that problem just with the XPro unit or does it effect other ways of triggering?
I’ve experienced this same issue with my AD600 Pro and the XPro-S on a Sony A7iii. I just ordered the XPro-S Mark II to see if that has resolved the issue. If not, it’s not a fun problem to have as I like to shoot fairly wide open and the underexposure is around 2 stops I find. I also have the latest firmware on everything and it hasn’t been fixed as of 2/20/19.
i have an issue with Xpro S , it almost always changes my WB , is there any fix to that ?
How does it do that? I would suggest checking for the newer firmware, but I've never seen WB change just with a flash or trigger.
Hi..I have elinchrom d lite lights with sky port trigger. I also have Godox 860 II speed light with a XPro c flash trigger. Is der a way to trigger both flashes together in this setup ?. Also if I buy a Godox x1 trigger and mount sky port trigger on top of it, will it trigger both flashes?
Thanks
Anything on the X1 top shoe will fire when a shot/test is taken but obviously there is just a signal to fire nothing else no TTL etc.
If you have the sky port trigger why not just use the 860II light set to optical slave that way when the main lights fire so does the flash. You just have to set the power level on the flash
@@MrBazReviews thanks a lot...put the 860 on optical slave and it worked.. 🙂
I have canon 80d and I will buy godox tt685c and x1 trigger but a lot of people says that tr685c is not working good in ttl with canon 80d and even the trigger x1 is not working cool with canon 80d so the problem of ttl mode of flash and trigger with canon 80d solved or still stuck please help me before I waste my dollars 💔
Do you think if I change the trigger to xproc will work perfectly?
I had read about it but it seems the firmware has solved issues on Canon which were around last year, that's what I got from doing some searching. The firmware is here:
www.godox.com/EN/Download.html
I do have an X1 coming in for testing but I usually use Sony so issues on other cameras might not be apparent, but I'd say it seems to have been fixed
@@MrBazReviews thanks a lot my dear I bought tt685-c and xpro-c this morning so the trigger work with the tt685c via built in wifi or I will have to buy receiver for flash ???
Make sure the flash is on the same channel and group as the XPro. There is no reason it won't fire if set correctly
@@MrBazReviews thanks but the point is I need receiver to the flash to work with transmitter or there's no need for receiver?
@@Sky34158 The flash has the radio built into it you must enter the radio mode to fire it off camera with the Xpro or X1 it is quite simple to do that the lightning symbol is optical the radio tower is radio green master, orange is slave

Skip to around 7 minutes and I show clearly how to set it up
Is that possible to connect with sony flashes
Only Godox flashes for radio
Hi Mr Baz Reviews, I have the Sony A6000 and recently got the XProS and the X1RS. Once everything is set up (eg. M, GR A, CH1) only the test flash will trigger the strobe, but the camera will not trigger. Any ideas what could be wrong?
I've not used the X1RS, I believe there were issues so check the firmware on that. I've found the XProS to be working without a problem, try a reset on flash and triggers, check the firmware on everything to make sure it's up to date
I did a firmware video here:
th-cam.com/video/4FrWpKaZaQs/w-d-xo.html
@@MrBazReviews thank you, sir. I will try updating the X1RS. The XProS is up to date at 1.2
I saw a unit like this from neewer is it the same thing ? The specs and even the model number/name is exactly the same as the godox.
Neewer re-brand items and some of them are from Godox so they are the same or should be, but I'd stick to the Godox ones myself. Adorama also do it as do other makers, Godox are the manufacturer it's not uncommon I look at some K&F concept items they also re-brand some items.
I'm so glad I saw this video. I have a Sony A7r3 E-Mount and what you said @1:51, this transmitter will not fit on it. Cheers.
It will fit the A7R3, and the AF assist works on a7RII、a7RIII、a7III and a9 after the firmware update was released a few weeks ago (ie since I made the review)
Ahh so the update won't apply to the a7ii :(
Evidently not (ie the AF assist), doesn't seem to on any of the APS-C models either. Must be something Sony have changed hardware wise in the newer cameras
Solid review, very much appreciated Baz, thank you. I’ve just got hold of a Godox AD600BM and I’m having trouble remote firing. Am I missing the obvious and these are not compatible? Any advice would be welcome.
It is compatible both on the same channel and group? Try doing a re-set on both then set them up again
Cheers Baz, I’ll have a play and get back to you.
Nothing!
I have a Godox speedlite and it triggers that fine but I’m getting nothing from the AD600BM. Might be a dud?
@@Graveltongue Have you tried both units with other devices such as a flash they can also act as master. Either the AD600 is at fault or the XPro unit. The Godox system is fully compatible across the board if it's working properly. Can you test both with a flash if you have one?
Hi!
Please suggest what I have to do. Yesterday I bought the Godox system: AD600pro and Xpro-S.
Main goal - to use as outdoor flash with HSS.
I use Sony A7 R 3.
And when I installed and switched on all my equipment (sony a7R3+ xpros+ad600pro), turned on HSS mode on xpros and AD600 PRO I FOUND THAT IT WORKS GOOD IN TTL MODE BUT IF I TRIED TO SWITCH INTO MANUAL MODE - THE FLASH IS WORKED FIRST TIME, AND THAN, IT'S NOT WORKING IF I MAKING A PHOTO. THE SAME SITUATION WITH MANUAL MODE WITHOUT HSS.
I tried to use didderent channels, groups, Ids but situation is the same. In manual mode flash is not working every time.
WHAT DO I WRONG?
So flash is not working only HSS manual it should do what firmware is the AD600?
flash also is not working when I set up Manual mode on xpro-s (without HSS). but what's interesting- there is good communication between xpros and ad600pro- when I change the power of flash in manual mode on xpros- immediately I see the same value on ad600pro screen.
in TTL mode regular and HSS working good
Firmware version is 1.1 but it's strange... it's new AD600PRO, and manufacturer should install latest version.
Question, is the firmware is the same for the new ad600pro as for previous versions?
Firmware is here on their site an update late last year though it only lists one change:
www.godox.com/EN/Download.html
If it's communicating with the flashes ie changing settings as it should then the problem is something else. Have you tried using a flash as a controller for the AD600?
If you take the XPro out of the hot shoe does the test button fire the flashes/AD600?
Very strange
Thank you for prompt assistance. I have checked also download page but found no updates exactly for xPro-S and AD600Pro.
And I have solved the issue. The problem was- the setting "e-Front Curtain Shut" was switched "On". When I have switched OFF this option - all is working good.
Again- thank you for replies!
Regards,
Volodymyr
Very interesting I've used this on the SLT Sony's and not seen a problem with the electronic first curtain shutter (except HSS at really high speeds you can get banding) it fires the flash no issue with EFC on or off odd, still glad you got it sorted out
i have simple question.. i just moved to sony a7iii.. if i get this trigger any chance i can use it with my godox v860ii canon version? it will work with sony?
They are all inter compatible so you can use the XPro S with a V860ii Canon, what you can't do is use the Canon on the camera with TTL (it will fire in manual)
@@MrBazReviews so as i understand sony xpro trigger can be used to fire godox flashes no matter what the version of that flash.. on simple words.. godox trigger can commencate with other godox flashes no matter which version
@@UAE410 Pretty much it
@@MrBazReviews thanks for the infos sir and ill try this compnations.. stay save and have good life
Great video. I see that you are using a Sony but I don't think using a Nikon D500 would be a difference on most of the settings. I have the XPRO set TTL+3 M 1/16 +0.7. The Nikon 1/500 f 3.5 ISO 100, I tried rapid shooting but the flash only fires once any suggestions? P.S. I am a rooky LOL. Flash Godox TT685n
What do you mean "rapid shooting" are you on continuous drive mode?
Sorry, I am rooky got to learn the photography language. Yes continuos, but I figured out that if the TT685 is in full power it won't do continuous or do I have it wrong?
No not at full power it doesn't have enough time to charge, you should try lower outputs might need a couple of flashes though depends on the subject.
The TTL funtion of the (x1t/x2t/Xpro) can control the TT600 (Manual Flash)?
The TT600 is manual only you can control it with the transmitters, in manual it can't do TTL on or off camera
ok, I have it mounted on my Alpga R III, and synced with monolight ,it wroks,
how can I use it as re remote shutter rlease and also it would release the flash at the same time? when I remove it from the camera it wont release the shutter, only flash
You need 2 units one plugged into the camera directly for the remove shutter release (ie via the sync port)
I got mine from digitec.ch in Switzerland, the cover for the USB port is very loose and does not stay in place, I replaced it 3 times, but all of the triggers were the same. Have you experienced the same issue? The trigger is totally functional, but this cover bugs me.
I've the same issue. I've resorted to a piece of masking tape to hold it in place.
Cover is OK on this one
New firmware update: XproS V1.1 2018/08/28 Xpro for Sony Camera
1- To change C.FN-MIN to C.FN-STEP and add the adjustment of 0.1 step.
2 - To add the option of C.FN-AF,which supports to achieve AF function in a7RII、a7RIII、a7III and a9 cameras.
www.godox.com/EN/Download.html
So it looks like AF assist can now work on some of the ILC models listed and they have added finer adjustments for the output
Is this remote trigger compatible with “Neewer” Battery powered strobes or is only compatible with Godox products?
If the Neewer flashes are the same as the Godox ie identical just re-branded they will work with this
I bought this product to my sb800 nikon speedlights and it’s doen not working with it as you shown in the video. It is triggering it, but i can not change the settings from the trigger. Any suggestion?
How are you trying to trigger it? The SB800 has no wireless radio built in so are you using the Godox Speedlite Trigger? If so then it will fire it but it won't be able to change settings from the XPro because it's not a Godox flash
Mr Baz Reviews Thanks the quick reply. Yes i bought reciver too. Now I’m disappointed a bit. Can you recommend a trigger which has same settings function and working with the sb800? Thanks
@@JNCS152 Just to be 100% sure you are using XPro N and which model receiver with the SB800?
Mr Baz Reviews The X1R N but never mind, i already sold the sb800s and bought a couple of v860ii. Thanks anyway to tried to help on me.
@@JNCS152 OK yes probably very little point in keeping or buying OEM flashes with these Godox units around bar weather sealing - it just doesn't add up cost wise Godox have killed them here (good for us!) hope it works out for you let me know how you get on
Hi, Can you help me? How can I activate the laser for auto focus of the Godox XPro-S? Before I had the Godox XT1-S and the laser worked perfectly for auto focus but with the Godox XPro-S I could not activate it. Thanks.
Which camera are you using? Make sure it's on AF-S not continuous should work but it depends if it's an E mount body only the newer ones are supported for AF with the latest firmware update
Futbol Sports you need to make sure the XPro-S has the newest firmware (1.2 currently). If your firmware is 1.0 it won’t work. You can see the version number if you press the “menu” button on the trigger. Also make sure to be shooting in AF-S mode not AF-C as mentioned by Mr Baz above. Also, if it’s mirrorless you need to change the menu setting on the trigger to choose mirrorless and not DSLR, and the last step is to make sure the button on the right side (next to the power button) is slid to the on position. Hope it helps :)
Does this control has from the trigger, or is that managed at the strobe itself?
If you use the Godox flashes the XPro controls the flash so any settings changed...that happens on the flash instantly
@@MrBazReviews thank you. If all else fails, read the manual...camera settings to "FP" or hss won't work. Got It!
Hello good day is this trigger compatible with the Nikon D3400?
You want the XPro-N (last letter is for the maker ie C Canon, N Nikon, S Sony)
Hi, What camera do you use? and what brand hot shoe adapter and what type is used in the video? thanks (curious Sony users)
I use A mount Sony A57/77/99 the adapter is the Sony ADP-AMA for the first two - obviously the A99 has the multi interface shoe so isn't needed
Does the A57 manual mode & HSS (no TTL) work well? my camera is Sony A700 & A900 with the same hot shoe as A57, I don't know whether the off-camera-flash HSS can run well on the Godox system :(
thanks for sharing
@@gendonmahendra7722 HSS will work with those cameras and TTL. That's radio via the Godox units
Just a case of using the adapter. Manual is same no issues there.
OK thank you :)
Has anyone managed to figure out the issue of using TTL (with the V1S speedlight) and getting hugely underexposed results? The flash works perfectly mounted on the camera (A7iii), but using TTL with the XPro S, it severely underexposes. Tried various settings on both the camera and flash and trigger, but no improvement. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I've not used the V1S so hard to say could be a compatibility issue (ie firmware fix)
Maybe have a look on forums or google search it to see if anyone else has had a problem or if there is a fix for it. They do update the firmware, but sometimes it takes a while for them to do it - check to see if the Xpro is running the latest version (and V1S)
I’ve googled it and found a couple of people with the same issue, but no fixes unfortunately.
I’ll double check everything is up-to-date and email them if it still doesn’t work properly.
Thanks for the reply.
Have you had any problems with power drain? I have set mine for minimum use but it still drains down to zero over night.
Are you leaving it in standby? I usually turn it off when not using it but I can test it doing that
@@MrBazReviews No, that was my first thought but I have run several tests with it off. That's when I started to think it might be a code error that doesn't turn it off. I even wrote to them recommending they create an external power supply or a nice big battery like the put in their new line of flashes!
I had it in the bag for about 8 days powered off and it still had power when I next used it. It is possible there might be some parasitic drain (seen it on plenty of cameras), didn't seem to be significant though. I was using Eneloop cells what type of batteries are you using?
I have been using Energizer 1.2 v rechargeable with good success. Is there anything about Eneloop cells that makes them stand out? I'm not familiar with them .....
The Eneloops are very low self discharge not sure which type you are using (usually says on the label) there are other good cells around and I've used different ones. If it's draining down over night that's something which doesn't sound right to me, I just have not seen that problem on this one. Yes the battery indicator isn't accurate for Ni-MH (Alkaline cells are higher voltage Ni-MH drops a bit after charge), that's a complaint I have..still I would think something is amiss on that unit with that drain problem how long have you had it for?
Are you still getting delayed flash on the following cameras?:
1. SLT-A99
2. SLT-A99 Mark II
3. SLT-A77 Mark II
4. DSC-RX10 Mark IV
5. A7r III
6. A9
7. A7s Mark III (testing now, during production, it make change name), have delayed trigger flashes.
How much delay are you getting? I'll have a look tomorrow on the A77/57 bodies I have at the moment
Mr Baz Reviews, so much to be considered useless for 2.4GHz TTL for children and fast actions.
th-cam.com/video/eHrBcT51oE8/w-d-xo.html
ATG & Gary Friedman have informed Sony.
But Sony paid all reviewers not to say as well as not to talk about ATG AF Assist Beam.
@@angelisone That video came out in 2012 quite some time ago. What Gary is talking about is correct, but it only applies to the "optical wireless TTL flash" and at that time the A99 had that problem mostly (it is a long time since I used that body)... this has no bearing on the radio flash when used with the XPro. There is no delay I can find even with older bodies using this for Sony. Radio and Optical TTL are very different in how they work
I've no relationship with Sony or Godox I just accept items to give real feedback on (good and bad). Hence the review mentions these areas so you can decide how it fares.
Latest firmware means the a7RII、a7RIII、a7III and a9 have AF assist using this model.
Mr Baz Reviews
Still delayed on ATG, Godox, Jinbei, Interfit, Profoto, Phottix & Rollei 2.4GHz TTL transmitter.
We didn't like it on SLT-A99, SLT-A99 II, A9 & A7r III
@@angelisone As I said the video shows the wireless TTL not radio flash so if there is a delay you would also get a delay on a shoe mounted flash
Is there a protective case for the XproS? It is too easy to lose the hot shoe cover.
Not aware of any case I use a neoprene lens case small size for it, though you might find a compact case. Cover can be lost just take care with it, though you might use one of those sticky pads and threads to attach it to the unit, I don't bother as I have spare ones
If I have a tt685C can trigger whit the Sony godox trigger xpro version?
Yes it will work
My Ad200 is coming on the 16th could this be I don’t ha em the flash yet. I just though it will show in the camera TTL not CMD even though I don’t have the flash yet.
I don't have a NIkon at hand at the moment I've used a few though test it when the flash comes through. Unless it's supposed to switch over some makers don't need that just TTL and it fires. If it fires and works with TTL then I'd not be worried about it
Mr Baz Reviews okay great I’ll wait until I get the flash this week. Hopefully it works
Can that trigger be use with the studio lights like Godox XPro-C E-TTL 2.4G???
Yes the Godox system is the same across their range with the radio 2.4G so you can use these or flashes to trigger their larger studio lights
Mr Baz Reviews awesome thanks
On the Godox TT685 and TT350 do they have those for Nikon D500?
Yes they do Nikon, Canon, Sony, Fuji, Micro 4/3 only one they don't seem to support is Pentax (at this time)
I looked on Amazon and for some reason, D500 does not show on the list. I am in the market for a set of I-TT/HSS for my Nikon D500 and I thought Godox is a good alternative. so what is the difference TT685 vsTT350?
You need to get the XPro-N version for TTL (letter after the model indicates system ie C - Canon, S- Sony, N - Nikon etc)
www.godox.com/EN/Products_Remote_Control_XproN_TTL_Wireless_Flash_Trigger.html
D500 is supported. You can mix and use say a Canon 685 and it will work with the XPro N, but you won't get TTL
Thanks for the review!! Could you please help. I just got my XPRO FOR Nikon. I’m trying to shoot TTL on my D7200 how in my camera menu it’s showing CMD mode please help. My version says 1.4 I’m sure I need to update the firmware but it should still show TTL not CMD in my camera. I appreciate any help.
Should be able to set it for TTL It's under e3 it has control for built in flash and optional flash TTL, Manual, Commander (built in also has a repeating mode too). Take off the XPro and set it to TTL on the menu
Mr Baz Reviews I set it to ttl on the XPro but when I look into my camera D7200 the flash say CMD mode.
I went to e3 and changed it to ttl but once I put the trigger it goes to CMD mode.
Does it fire the remote flash with the Xpro?
Mr Baz Reviews I don’t have a flash yet. I ordered the ad200 i will get it on the 16th. Could it be I don’t have a flash because even when I change ttl or manual in E3 the camera reads CMD mode
Anybody know it this will control the Nikon SB 800? I have only used the simple radio triggers. I would like very much to be able to control all of my speedlights from the transmitter.
If you get the Godox X1R-N the receiver and put the SB800 into TTL it should be able to have the power adjusted via the Xpro or X1T, but it won't have the full control like the Godox flashes have (ie switching modes etc), but it should work
So are you saying it won't work in manual mode? I specifically want to be able to control flash output and duration from the master. I am just starting to do some minor professional stuff, so I am unable to upgrade my strobes right now. Or do you have any other suggestions?
@@pauldemontigny2005 As it's not a Godox flash you can't control the flash in manual from the XPro (ie adjust the output off the Xpro), you can of course just set the SB800 to manual and pick the power output on the flash directly, or set it to TTL and adjust the output via the XPro. In TTL all the Godox is doing is sending the signal to fire to the SB800 and adjusting the output exactly the same as mounting the flash on the camera. And in manual it's just saying "fire" as the Nikon flash can't directly communicate in the same way the Godox units do to each other. I'm not sure if that's going to be a problem for your set up.
What I would say is if you want full remote control you'll need the Godox flashes
Yeah, I think my flashes are outdated. Unfortunate considering I just picked up the new Z7, 24-70 f2.8, and a 27" iMac. Unfortunately, I assumed that my flashes and other wireless triggers would be compatible. However, I am learning that this is probably not the case. I did countless hours of research before deciding on the Z7 over the D850. I guess it was not enough. Thanks for your responses! Very much appreciated!
@@pauldemontigny2005 Z7 sounds interesting but I've no knowledge of how these units work with the new Nikons. If it's the same system it should work or Godox might do firmware updates. Almost everyone I know has dumped their OEM flashes and just bought into the Godox system, I have a couple of Metz ones around but use Godox mostly now for off camera work.
There are ways around it, but it is best to stick to one system and as the cost is so low you can get the Xpro, couple of Godox flashes not that much. Nikon's flashes are still usable with say an X1R but not in the same way with the radio system not like the Godox ones are.
Does it work on sony a58 DSLT ? Or needs shoe adapter?
No adapter for the A58 as it has the multi interface shoe cameras before that will need one (as shown in video)
Thank you very much for this information Mr Baz 👍
Anyone able to make this transmitter or the one I preferred, Flashpoint XPro Mark II, to work on ATG, Cononmark, Interfit, Jinbei, Phottix, Profoto or Rollei TTL/M strobes?
Use single brand only for wireless unless it's a dumb slave
@@MrBazReviews None will be compatible with TTL flashes by using those other brands.
@@angelisone You can't mix brands with this, so stick to one (whatever make that is)
I didn't get that. It has 1/256 speed
So how can I shot in 1/8000 ??
What camera are you using? There are HSS/Auto FP settings so you can sync at a high shutter speed. HSS on the unit yes but it needs to be allowed in camera
@@MrBazReviews Mr Baz Reviews I'm using Sony a7riii and wanna buy Godox tt685s and use it off camera
@@behnambagherzadeh6773 HSS works you just put the transmitter on the shoe and you can select the shutter speed on the camera. Electronic first curtain can cause banding at high shutter speeds so turn that off. Xpro or X1T will do the job for the transmitter
@@MrBazReviews thank you
Love Godox for what they have done, on that note the main issue(s) are if you're using non Godox strobes you can not control the lights even with the firmware updates. All you have is a trigger it's looking like Yongnuo is the only flash controller that will work with your mix of
light.
They are pretty good value
this works on my Sony A6500??? can someone answer pls. i want to buy it
Yes it works with the A6500 it works with any multi interface shoe Sony camera (and older ones with an adapter)
You just get the one for your system ie Sony/Nikon/Canon etc
Mr Baz Reviews thanks
is it possible to set group ratios . i.e setting key light (A Group)and fill light(B Group) ratio. essentially I want to set the power of main key light (A Group) to 1/1 and lock it down set the ratio to 1:2. i want the fill light(B Group) to be automatically be set to 1/2. And if I update the Key light to 1/4 then I want fill light power to be 1/8
You can ratio control is detailed here for TTL and Manual:

I have set the xPro and my TT685 on i-TTL radio, I can here the flash zooming as I zoom the flash is about 7 feet from the wall I am shooting at the wall 1/125 f2.8 iso 100 and the photo is dark and yes the flash fires every time so i change to Multi @ 1/128 power and the photo is over exposed so why is it working in i-TTL?
What's happening with normal flash shots? White walls can throw off metering as they reflect the light back. With multi you'll have to adjust your exposure it can't do it in camera as it's strobing multiple flashes (it's not like HSS either which is metered)
It’s not only doing it on the wall it’s also doing it across the room with a Christmas banner as well. And like I said it only does it on TTL now I’m wondering if it’s shooting on the second curtain.
@@therookiefisherman5234 Check the camera settings and do a reset on the flash see how that works. Also firmware version check that, they do updates to fix bugs etc.
@@MrBazReviews I found out that the settings on the lens compensation was @ -3.0 so it was underexposed. Thank you all for your help. I have also discovered that shooting at HSS it kills the batteries in minutes so in a speed lite its kind of useless. Happy New Year to all.
i have Godox X-Pro flash trigger, X1R receiver, Canon 600EX-RT and Godox V860iic speedlites, camera is Canon 5D mark IV, i need to synchronize these all speedlites and flash triggers - receiver and transmitter. how i can do that?
Mount the Canon flash in the X1R it is controlled just as the Godox flashes are. You can't mix Canon Radio with the Godox not the same, but the transmitter tells the receiver what to do ie output etc. Put them in the same group or in individual ones
