That level is kind of a masterpiece. The level of depth in arbitrary paths is honestly astonishing. He even made up tech I had no idea existed with the bouncer into the claw. 7/7 asses.

So that when people like Simple, who analyzes everything and would know of a dev path if you took 20 seconds to beat the massive level, play it they never think about the easy way. He even went the extra mile and asked someone to also clock in a long time for the extra gaslight. I love it.

After watching this video from start to finish several times and heavily analyzing the video's content, I can safely say that this is an allegory for getting sensory overload.
It honestly is man!!! I think I might have had a moment of sensory overload while watching this, considering I paused the video and paced for a bit to try and relax. There is SO much stuff going on, from the constant change of visuals to the constant noises, it's honest to god is the visual/playable version of sensory overload. It's also an extra layer of hell when you have to focus on something but theres just so much around you. This level is the playable version of my Autism. The lil Spike tops also add even more flavor to the whole experience.
