I certainly remember when this was first released. This very popular song received extensive play in the Chicago radio markets on the (old) AM/FM bands. A vibrant time when pure "GOD" given talent flourished, abundantly, from the heart and soul. A era when music brought joy and fun to all. For many of my generation, this song is permanently embedded in our memories.

Take it for what it's worth the music industry was out to stop our groove they destroyed rhythm and blues u know soul music because we were displaying our groove of real love and respect for our girl friends yes baby I still love you like I did before so we met at the dance and got back together u know what I'm saying the relationship was really more good for us than bad so we would get back together right and it was in the music and that was our connection but it was destroyed by this gangster rap the ego tripping character of showing off ego tripping chasing jewelry thinking that ur bigger than the next man like that makes u a better man but it just destroyed us and now it's a lost generation

Backwards; isn't it? We are the only people that go and get a bunch of folk, that do not care anything about us.
Help is not coming from any politicians, any police, any pastors, it is coming from the Lord.
And in the continual cycle of death and destruction, we remain to be in since 1619, in Jamestown, Virginia, it can only come from the Lord!

Went to see the O’Jays in September 2019 at a casino here in Seattle. BEST CONCERT I’VE EVER ATTENDED, and I’ve been to many. They still got it - in their 70s.

The O'Jays used to come to Vancouver, BC, in the 70's, where nobody cared about their colour. The music is what mattered.
