Looks pretty sweet! The soundscape mods are probably my favourite part (aside from the Voice Acting which was hilarious to hear a Chicano stereotype for Chavez and brought me out of it somewhat).
Because a solid, functional modlist can take literally years to build, and not everyone wants to spend that time doing it themselves. We share modlists and write guides and create wabbas to save our fellow players time and frustration. Secondarily, it also means you have to answer a lot less questions about what mods you're using :D

That's actually completely wrong. The point of NV (and even FO 1/2/4/76, 3 is a weird one) is to show a POST-post-apocalyptic wasteland. Somewhere that humanity is rebuilding after 200 years. Cain, Avellone, Sawyer, and all the rest of the main creatives behind FO1/2/NV have been clear on that, and the theme of rebuilding is literally the central point of FO4/76 (76 actually being more accurate in terms of timeframes than FO4) It's literally the theme of the games from minute zero, with FO1 sewing the seeds and FO2 showing several major rebuilt cities and a wasteland that is recovering. FNV is a direct sequel to F1/2, and that setting is carried over. As the player in FO1 your actions literally allow the NCR as we know it to form and become an industrialized nation. The only reason there is a more immediate post-nuke feel to vanilla textures and assets is that around 80% were recycled from FO3 due to time constraints - as I mentioned, FO3 is an outlier to the series in terms of the world being a mostly-un-recovered wasteland. NV was never intended to be a blasted wasteland the same way as FO3, and you can see that in all the assets that were directly created for FNV. All that being said, there's nothing removing rubble piles or adding major new cities or anything else in Ghoul's video - the game just looks more modern and is lacking the piss filter. It sounds like you're mad just for the sake of being mad. And finally, lol immersion. You can justify any gameplay change with a term that vague. I could ask you why you don't have a mod that makes your character have to take a shit twice a day - not having it isn't "immersive". The "immersion" argument is the last stand of someone who doesn't have a legit criticism.

The point of FONV is to look rubbled and destroyed. No idea why people want to change that and destroy the immersion.
