This bass has exceeded my expectations -- it is easy to play, fast and light, with a clear, fat, acoustic sound, and of course the maple quilt and flame top is just awesome. Seeing Andrew build this bass makes me appreciate the guitar even more, and kudos for his craftmanship and artistry. This bass is now my main ax... I play out regularly in a variety of combos in Jacksonville, OR wineries and receive so many compliments on look and tone of the instrument. People even want to pet it (true!) because the sensual curves and soft texture! Thank you, Andrew, you are a master guitar builder for sure. Scott
I own three of Andrew's beautiful instruments, and while I've seen many photos of the builds-in-progress, I've never experienced the creative process in quite as compelling and inspirational a way as it is depicted in this video. It gives me a whole new appreciation for my Drake basses! Well done, Andrew.
