    I adore natural walnut bodies. The gold hardware and amber position markers set it off beautifully. I'm really impressed with the work you did without some of the standard table machines. Really enjoyed this build video. Keep up the great work!

    This is the first time I have seen your build, I sit here realizing I'm tired of buying and selling my guitars from dissatisfaction always believing it's that particular guitar from the manufacture that I prefer being Fender Stratocaster I recently heard another custom built Walnut Strat and the tone was the sound zi seek and un able to get, tried a few amps and again just frustrated with the sound I'm looking for. I loved your selection of background music seems your a man of few words at least from this video, I like your work, thank you

      Hi Doug, thank you so much. One thing I've learnt over the years of playing around with guitars is that the wood type on an electric guitar makes very little to no difference of tone. From my experience it always comes down to the player, the setup of the guitar, the pickups and the amp. I think people love the sound of strats because of the single coil pickups. I'm working on a custom stray style build at the moment and can't wait to get it finished :)

      Even having been told for years that wood doesn't = tone on electrics with a beauty like that one it does make you wonder. But I will say relaxing no lol I was a nervous wreck. Lol What a prize. Congrats. G

      @morganoguitars2213  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you :) I know, they're both upside down. I tried it both ways and just preferred the look of the rings being that way because it looks nicer when it follows the string angle. It also means when I adjust the pickup height, that they are on a similar angle to the strings. Just a personal preference on this one I guess :)

    • @morganoguitars2213
      @morganoguitars2213  ปีที่แล้ว

      There really is no wrong or right way up as it depends on the body shape and curvature. I placed it that way so that it adjusts up and down evenly at the same angle as the strings :)

  •  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I am not sure but guitar body does not have a protective layer. Do you know how strong these unpainted guitars performs in terms of durability? Do they scratch easier than multiple coated guitars? I am not experienced with guitars, I am just curious.
