Great reaction! Can't go wrong with any of The Hu videos, majority of them do have subtitles. The subtitles to this video are more comprehensive than the lyrics you read. Mainly it's conveying whatever you come at us with, we will overcome you. Lot of their culture/history in their songs. Some suggestions: The Great Chinggis Khaan, Yuve Yuve Yu, and even a cover of Metallica's Sad but True.

Ron, my man! I surely appreciate you indulging in my eclectic musical junk drawer. Although alittle monotonous, it kinda hits me in my bones. It's like a school spirit song, meant to get you stirred up...
Tell me, sir, are you a fan of Jeff Beck? Have you heard him do " Going Down"? Love to hear your thoughts.
    Another great react, Ron.

Hi John, Thank you. I know Jeff Beck is a fantastic guitarist; however, I haven't really dug into his work that much. I'll have to check it out. 🙂

“The Wolf Totem” is actually from a 12th century Mongolian poem that the HU shortened and put to music. The “XXL Violin” (as you called it) is the Morin Khuur (Horse Head Fiddle), it has 2 “strings” that (traditionally) are made from the tail hairs from a horse (traditionally the hairs must come from the player’s own horse to bind player to instrument and vice versa), the “Male” string has 150 hairs and the “Female” string has 130 hairs. The “guitar” is actually a Tovshuur (Mongolian Lute) and only has 3 strings.

Very cool. Thank you for the information. It's good that they have mixed the old and the new. 🙂
