I enjoy their videos as well as their music. They have a couple of songs Black Thunder and Black Thunder 2 that I really enjoyed. In watching Black Thunder, my first experience with them, I was struck by how much they reminded me of Native American dances and rituals. Seven thousand miles apart, yet both were so much like each other.

Hi Brad. I'll have to have a look. I have been to quite a few Pow wow celebrations in Canada - especially on Manitoulin Island where my wife and I were married and vacationed for many years. 🙂

@@flacrazymama thanks, I will watch it. I may have seen it, but if so, it won’t hurt to watch again 😊.

@@flacrazymama ok, thank you. I imagine I have seen it, as I think I hunted down the album when I first heard Black Thunder, and I watched the videos that were available at the time. I just won’t remember until I go back and watch it. In fact, I’m heading there now, you’ve got me curious!😊

Ron, love the Hu! The driving beats would be great to listen to at the gym. I appreciate you revisiting the band.

Hi John! Yes, I think you're right, although I never go to a gym - lol. I do jog down a nice trail though and have my rowing machine here. 🙂

Thanks for the reaction, Ron! I believe this is the last song played on their setlist during this North American tour. It was filmed during their previous tour in America in the Mojave desert in Nevada (hence the rattlesnake) because it reminded the band members of the Gobi desert back home.

I have just this summer discovered The HU, and now I'm a hopeless fan. I would, however, like to ask them why they did a video for "This Is Mongol" and filmed it in Nevada?

This was quick shot during their very first tour Black Thunder in US. Idea maybe came from Deer stone itself. There are few thousands of Deer stone spread around world. But like 90% of them in Central Asia, mostly in Mongolia. So you can say its kind of Mongolian thing (monument/tablet). They probably after see or knew that Deer stone existed there, they excited and made quick shot.

@@thisizmonster That totally makes sense. I just thought it was kind of counterintuitive when I saw it. :)
