Downie - I own a Chevy express box van and I'm happy with it. It has around 97,000 miles and still runs strong. The only gripe I have about mine is that there's no cruise control. I've heard that GM started putting cruise control on the newer ones. Mine is a 1997 and I'm thinking about buying a wiring harness and a cruise control turn signal switch.
I am a ford guy, that being said buy the chevy. They ride better, dont have the front suspension issues all Ford vans have. Have had both for many years. Much prefer chevy vans anyway.
Owned a 1997 Chevy Astro cargo van, 4.3l. Best car I've ever owned. Had upwards of 226,000 miles, ran like it was brand new. It was a "simple mechanical device". I only sold it because thieves broke the driver door. Otherwise I would still have it. Jaguar was the best looking, but crappiest car I've owned. Chinese knock offs would be better quality.
The Chinese don't copy Jeeps, Beijing Jeep was one of the first JV companies, and now many of their OEM Jeep parts are exported from China. BYD is better designed and built than Chinese VW/Audi!
I drive an MG6 1.6 Turbocharged hatch 2015 model, I previously owned a 2011 BMW 320d, I have to say, my new MG handles almost the same as the BMW, not the same power outputs but handling is the same and reliability is much better than my previous car. I'm happier now than I was a few years ago

Hey Scotty, I lived in China for 15 years. The cars are made better there than they are here. also the pricing is relatively higher than here on actual sale price before your done.
I owned and SUV and a Buick Lacrosse made in China while I was there. Never an issue with either one. I sold my China made Nissan SUV which had 350,000 on it and is still running well.
I agree, bought a nice 2017 Foton Thunder truck 2.8 Cummins 4WD diesel manual transmission great price. Nice engine, reliable and fun to drive.
"In Mejico" 🤣🤣 that tripped me out.
Why did he say that why not mexico
@@abdullahanwaar7389 that is the way it's supposed to be pronounced. That's how spanish speaking people pronunce it.
Lol 😂 this gotta be the funniest video I’ve seen this week..
Scotty it's time to clean up that ecological disaster of a yard. Love your videos
This has been going on for some time now. I read an article about this back in 05. It was a motorcycle as an example. Warren Buffet toured the Chinese factories a few years ago and came back and said he passed mile after mile of cities of factories like the USA never had.
Got my first wife in Japan, My second wife was a Chinese knockoff!
Scotty did you have some of that Smirnoff before you made the video.. You were smirking all the way 😂
You can find most of does cars in Dominican Republic, Central American and so on....the entire country are full also of 200cc Chinese motos.
Hey, i bought the new MG ZST about a 5 month ago. I can say that for what it offers and how it drives it’s a greatttt car for the price… really satisfied with this purchase
I’m looking forward for the GAC gs8, it’s coming to the US soon.
Hello mr.scooty I’m your fan from Sri Lanka and you changed my mind about cars.and made me a Toyota fan.
It'd be great if the chinese MG company started producing a well engineered replica of the MG-TD.
Hi Scott , great channel , and a free smile every time is a plus from the amusement ! 😁 I never commented just thumbs up . I had the Toyotas 89 4cyl 4x4 and the 93 4.0 six 4x4 .. So here it is - the Toyota Tacoma 4x4 other than the 4.0 and 3.5 v6 .. (What are your feelings and experiences for their - 2.7 L. 4 cyl. engine 4x4 preferably in extra cab ? ) Thanks a lot Scott !, peace

Hey Scotty I love your videos, but I wonder one thing. Why do you switch locations so often? One minute you in front of your celica then the next in front of your porch.
What's your opinion on the late 70s Suzuki bikes? I might buy a 250 PE for 600$, only the back breaks need replaced.
dont do it dude. i am a biker and a bike that old has dried out seals everywhere, and, parts may be hard to come by, so just get a 90's bike if you want better luck and scotty has said, and i know it to be true, honda, makes the best car and bike engines in the world.....!
Great content as usually .big up
Back in the mid-2000's, there was Hongda. lol
You are correct. I live in the Philippines. I have done many videos of Chinese car and motorcycle brands.
If you only knew how different Chinese and Japanese culture are... opposites in some respects, like carefulness, integrity, which are of incredible importance
Harry the Toyota believes in Kaizen “continuous Improvement.”
Scotty should come to China and actually review some of these knockoff cars, that would be interesting to watch!
Maybe in 20-30 years Chinese vehicles will be as good as Honda and Toyota are now.
Maybe much sooner.
Maybe not. They are incapable of producing quality products even though they steal technology from others worldwide. They do things on the cheap and take shortcuts in ideas and quality.
@@florret2003 That's what everyone said about Japanese products after WW2. By the late '60s Japanese motorcycles and electronics were quite popular here in the US. By the "80's so were there cars.
@@EasyRiderGreg The mind-set is not the same. The Japanese developed their own technology. They didn't rob it.
@@EasyRiderGreg
the datsuns of the 60s n 70s n Toyotas of the 70s were good quality.. "perfected" by the 80s.
Love your videos!!!
I live in China, see “Land winds” and some of these other knockoffs every day. Some of them are pretty darn close aesthetically.
the Chinese will make it as good as you are willing to pay for really, pay nothing and they'll sell you junk and yet people criticize and expect perfection while also paying nothing.
I've seen news about guys re-badge Zotye sr9 as Cayenne and pick up girls from bars with it.
I had a Daewoo Matiz 5 years ago in Europe. The Chinese copy was so exact that the doors on the Korean designed Matiz and the knockoff were interchangeable!
Pele Wang You gotta respect the hustle. ✊
6:47 Somebody turn on the fan for Scotty! Have a happy Labor day Scotty.
Christopher Frost You mean labor day
Johnny Flores Thank you Johnny!
Many real auto manufacturers ought to KNOCK IT OFF, and go back to selling quality over quantity.
Not as long as people buy the trash and dealers fleece people to "repair" it.
Want better American vehicles? Stop buying them.
@@wholeNwon never owned an American vehicle Lol
Most manufacturers are losing out on both counts.
A downward spiral.
I'm understanding more and more about cars as you explain Scotty. Nice work.
Snap your fingers, do yo step, you can do it all by yoself!!!!!!
lol those laughing animals inserted in the videos makes my day!
If I were Scotty , I’d be furious about Chinese automakers copying Lexus designs !
Nice slip in of Chrystler 300 when talking about cheap Rolls Royce knock-offs.
Chrystler was obvious with the style of the 300 vs Phantom (kind of like buying a "Kit Car" for you VW Beetle in the 70's).

Jod have mercy on my soul!
Awesome post Scotty.
Speaking of copying cars...
Something else I see is the direct correlation of comments in the comment section
Wouldnt take a new British vehicle if it was for free, their crap. Used to work jaguar/range rover/land rover. So many warranty problems. Outside of warranty, owner's go off their heads when they got the repair bill. Felt sorry for the them. Scotty's on the money 100%, 👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Cheers from 🇦🇺
I love my Dyson Chinese knockoff Vacuum machine. The cost is 1/4 but works better! lol
My Dyson works better than the cheap Chinese knock offs because I clean my vacuums filters before I compare it to my trusty old Dyson vacuum.
So cool, the advert is as well by Scotty....
Rev up your knockoffs!! 🚗
I am a Chinese, I love this guy. So funny. He is telling the truth.
Soon Chinese are going to copy Scotty's 94 Celica
That dog at 9:03.. LOL
Hey Scotty! Any advice or knowledge on GMC Savana and Chevy Express cargo vans? Thanks buddy!
Garbage, endless money pits
I luv this guy...he let's his body does all his talkings.....😁
" It fell apart like a Chinese motorcycle." Rodney Dangerfield.
Jeep Wranglers are so bad these days that they are losing to their knockoffs in Mexico.
Tariff the hell out of them. 200% tariff.
why? then we will be stuck buying american made junk, or paying the same price as an american car for chinese junk
I visited Shanghai in December and I didn’t see many copy vehicles. I saw a lot of Tesla’s though.
The Chinese don't copy Jeeps, Beijing Jeep was one of the first JV companies, and now many of their OEM Jeep parts are exported from China. BYD is better designed and built than Chinese VW/Audi!
funny and very informative!
Imagine if the Chinese made foxbody 5.0s. I think I would try to buy one lol.
I would buy two
I like to pack up the Hash Pipe with Rocky and get all schmoked up while watching the Scotty Kilmers videos.
China is gonna copy themselves one day 😂
nitro boost Holy identity crisis Batman
they already did, 3000 years ago......
Maybe the Chinese will copy the Elio. 😁
good one
...and actually sell it.
I love your videos u rock....
Ahh ahhaa, Is that a new style shirt scotty? I see a piece of leaf in the right collar.
