@@SirKasiro The only content its ever been 'mandatory' in is the high end key pushing and in that context only in squeezing out an extra key level or two and just generally making the dungeon easier because of how much it helps the group survive which they didn't touch at all. So yes the utility still makes it a meta spec and no you don't need to ever worry about the meta specs unless you are pushing very high keys
It seems blizzard counted moonfire as a "bear ability". This means it was buffed by 20%, then nerfed by 15%, then nerfed by ~2% more if you took Twin Moonfire, and nerfed by ~2% again for Guardian of Elune. The end result is that Moonfire is only doing about 1.7% less damage overall.
For that to be a solution there would have to be a dedicated support slot that doesn't compete with DPS, so groups consist of tank, healer, 2 DPS, and one support, or even make groups go to 6 now with three DPS so that DPS don't have to wait an hour to find a group. But all of that is much more complicated than the actual solution they will eventually have to come to which is redesign Aug to be a conventional DPS spec, or tank which I would prefer
As someone who loves Aug, I really don't want it to be mandatory... I highly doubt the vast majority of players that play it, do so because they like it.

Do what I do and exclusively run your own keys on your prevoker, and exclusively invite melee because ranged pugs will only EVER think about positioning for no more than three pulls and three pulls only no matter how nicely you asked at the start of the key, before they relapse to maximum dps whoring and stop moving the instant they get within range of the mobs. Then spend every instant cast they get jumping around the edge of their range circle, preferring to place themselves opposite any other range dps on the other side of the mobs/boss.
Why all Think its Mage? Mastery from Shaman is also kinda nice if we dont have restro meta im down to play with an Ele for the Mastery Buff and then just get something else good in (Mastery for aug == Versa for Party) .I would not go 100% on Mage as 2. Hardlock.

Blood's Bone Storm nerf isn't all that simple. Yes, it only takes 5 charges away which makes it "simpler". (But not really) What it really does, is reduces the amount of CD reduction you can get on your dancing rune weapon by half. Before, popping a bone storm at 10 charges would reduce dancing rune weapon by 50 seconds. Now with only 5 charges being used, it'll only reduce dancing rune weapon by 25 seconds. This is a BIG nerf to Blood DK. And the reason I say it's not easier to play around is because we have a talent that lets us cap bone charges at 12. So when you use 10 for bone storm, you still have 2 left. You're not in any more danger than you were at 10 or 12. You can only lose a bone shield once every second or two. So even if you take 5 hits in that one second, you'll only lose one charge. This change doesn't change how Blood DK plays, or how easy it is to play with the bone shield charge system. All it does is serve to reduce the amount of CD reduction we can have on Dancing Rune Weapon.
It will be like this for the next years. They wont remake the latest Hero Class just 3 Season into the game. The KIT is the OP part not the Numbers. As long as the Kit is the same they will always be mandatory for High Keys, bc the Kit s stronger than any third DD could ever be.

Blood buff by 10% does not mean it was relatively nerfed compared to other tanks, it just means it was 10% below the bar whereas the 15% tanks were 15 % below the bar, same with 20% and 30% tanks. This is them fulfilling the "power from the kit" promise they made when they nerfed dps trinks and cantrips for tanks.
Druid did not get buffed, they just reverted it to what it was before they nerfed it, as they always do. The same shit they always do to make Druids think they're being taken care of.
I watched some of your G- Druid keys last night and some of the rage you had but my question is this .... I am a new Tank and chose G-Druid and like the Moonbear but after seeing you so annoyed I am having second thoughts on Druid. My other options were Blood but dropped that being a new tank ( but still like idea of DK ) so wondering what advice you might have for me and other tank options for a NEW tank if Bear goes to crap. --- Thanks and keep up the work
Stick with Bear. No tank will ever become unplayable all of it is playstyle preference. If you want something super easy Prot Warrior is it but I personally not a fan of its playstyle. Master the tank of your choice then you can try all of them and see what you like best

And that they also close the "types" list every time you unselect one, so you have to mouseover "types \/" for every single topic you wish to remove, which makes it absolutely fucking cancer as there are 98940576 of them, which then compounds with the fact that they routinely reset it to "show everything"? Isn't corporate behavior GREAT? :D Bitterness is making me disregard Hanlon's razor*; they are 100% doing this because they hope you'll see something from the "everything" reset that makes you want to click it, which will be yet another click for the ad algorithms, and they're making filtering the feed extra cumbersome to hopefully make you abstain, increasing the number of posts you see and maximizing the odds you'll click. * Hanlon's razor: Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
If the 20% buff is from the nerfed damage, then I'm pretty sure it is a 2% buff compared to what it used to be. Although I'm not sure if "all bear ability damage" means all abilities when you're a bear, or all 'bear abilities' like Mangle/Thrash etc. If the original damage is 100, then it gets nerfed by 15% so it goes to 85, and then a 20% increase to 85 makes it 102.
Would love for them to stop nerfing Aug and instead nerf the amount of incoming damage (and damage events) dealt to groups wherein it feels necessary to run with an Aug for control and defensiveness.

@@kel1770 i see, you didnt play before 10.2. if the key is gated by time (in this case mob hp) you need more dmg to beat the timer (mob health). aug is a heavy dmg loss but a huge survivability gain. if keys are balanced around having a tight timer, you need more dps than survivability. that was the case in legion, bfa and shadowlands. survivability was never an issue.
@sinnis4993 you either did not play during those expansions or you forgot. Legion's difficulty was almost entirely in bosses, and the timer was laughably irrelevant, even in world first keys. In bfa the timers were so free that tanks pulled smaller to simplify. The easiest way to see this is to compare freehold routes in wf keys from bfa vs df s2. If you look at the shadowlands s3 leaderboard, the first two keys are over 5 minutes under timer. Your take is just contrary to reality.

Aug doesnt prevent Preservation to be played, Preservation being subpar does that. All the utility stacks and the buff is useless.
