- another waterproof test, this time I'm on the blorenge mountain which is a big hill really. its a lovely walk, it's flat and family and possibly disabled friendly, not wheelchair friendly though.

Thanks for that Julie, yes it's very different beauty. It can be a nightmare as well. You just have to stay well within your capabilities to stop it turning into a nightmare. I always have something in reserve as a backup.

Which fabsil did you use: spray-on or paint-on? Fabsil Gold or just the ordinary stuff?

I sprayed it on, and just ordinary fabsil. It's not as smelly as fabsil gold and does a good job I think. I wouldn't use fabsil gold again. It takes too long to air out to get rid of the smell.

How about lozenge. This is defined as a rhombus or diamond shape and commonly found in sore throat medication tablets or in heraldry -- a charge in the shape of a solid diamond, in particular one on which the arms of an unmarried or widowed woman are are displayed. All women who are armigerous (i.e. entitled to a coat of arms) display their arms on a lozenge, except for a Queen Regnant, such as Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. All men who armigerous display their arms on a shield.

I did enjoy the video, and others you have posted too. That is why I subscribed. As to my retirement, I am doing well, thank you. I own a smock too. It is black, made in Canada, has Canadian buttons, velcro, a hood with wire frame, lots of pockets, and a built-in Reissa waterproof liner. It is made by Red Back Gear, located in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. I wear it quite often, especially in wet weather..

My gortex DPM is great but when wet through eventually I fill dank muggy for a while when the sun is out . My old SAS smock with proofing gets sodden eventually but drys out soo quick. Had mine 1996 the one without the button on chest???? Rank 😮 . Still have her but belly is in way when shooting in the muck 😊

Andy, do you like this Arktis version better than the British Army Windproof Smock with the wire in the hood? Any pros or cons to either?
The arktis is a little bit better because of the cons of the British army MTP smock, the cons are,, the chest map pockets have a mesh backing, the hood is way too big with no adjustment, the velcro gets stuck on the inner mesh when you go to put it on, the waist draw cords are adjustable on the inside and it would take longer to dry. Just little irritating stuff. However, the hood is double layered, and the price is a lot cheaper. They are both good smocks generally, but the arktis B110 is just a bit better. There are no cons with the arktis, I dare say that over prolonged use, the arktis would be better, but it is a lot more expensive. Hope this helps 👍

Fabsil. It's less laborious to apply, and I think it is a little bit better at performing.

There's always a payoff with these materials, you're either sweaty or the rain gets through quicker, wool is always a good option ?? Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the video 👍
