1997 Chevy Blazer Fuel Gauge issues AGAIN

My 1997 Chevy Blazer fuel gauge is not working again after just 5 months. I replaced the Pump and Sending unit with a new AC-Delco one and it is doing the same thing again. It stops reading and says empty after the tank has reached a half a tank of fuel or lower. It also travels towards empty fast from full. The gauge basically tells me I am only getting 150 miles out of an 19 gallon tank. I did some troubleshooting and the gauge cluster seems fine. I guess I am dropping the gas tank again. I ordered a replacement resister for the float that attached to the side of the sending unit. Anyone out there have some advice?
