9 took me forever because I kept being seen by the guard as I stuck the C4 to him, I only managed it on the attempt where I slid across the wall and knocked multiple times as I did, idk if it makes a difference but I'm glad it's over
In theory, this successful attempt of mine should've been a failure. I walked up too far to the guard so they turned around when I stuck the C4 to them, but for some reason the wall's corner saved me from being seen. It was so lucky and unique that I had to leave that in and accept it. The mechanic is the same after all, I just didn't get punished for messing it up lol
@@RedSnake_9 I saw them turn in your attempt 'cause I just kept rewatching it to see what I was doing wrong and I started thinking I needed to knock in just the right place so that the wall would block their vision when they turned lol
More of these puzzle elements would've been great in the main game. Make it so you need to navigate the NIKITA through a vent or up and down different heights to hit the switchboard, have glass that you need to break through to progress/get an item, have some of these unique and interesting ways of solving problems challenge the player. Would've been great!
I'd say it's more trial and error than luck. Once you get the right spot to knock on the wall, then it just becomes a matter of execution. It's surprisingly consistent. Although, the way i actually beat it in this attempt was... not what I was going for. In other successful attempts, the guard was better positioned and it looked less coincidental that i wouldn't be seen when applying the C4 on their back. I was just trying to optimize the timing a little, so i gave it a few more good attempts when... this run happened. It was too funny to not use lol
After some trying i did other strategy (one that took a looooong time) but worked Thanks for the video it helped to understand the level And so cool even after 10 years you answer comments
@@FelipeFurlan-cd7ez I'm glad it helped, that's exactly why i decided to put these missions on TH-cam. This is the integral version? i'm playing on steam on original VR missions (non integral) some mechanics like take cover holding a C4 is not possible on that XD.
It's not the integral version, it's the regular. What do you mean not possible? If you're holding a C4 you'll face the wall when taking cover, however if you start moving alongside it, Snake will turn and put his back to it. That's just an "older game" thing.

@@RedSnake_9 wtf you are right, the master collection version has a shitty analog adaptation, i was only able to do this with the d-pad. and thanks for the video, i was smashing my head to complete mission 09
@@dakota3049That's still kinda weird, but hey, if it works for you... Just in case, you're holding A while you aim/shoot with X, right? I feel like this should be a bigger deal if it's a thing for everybody. I don't have the collection yet, so I don't know if it's a known issue or not.
Someone asked in this comment section already, but in Spanish. I don't speak much spanish so I replied in english and, since I also don't speak French (I know enough to understand the question, but that's it lol), I'll copy and paste that same answer here: while you aim (Square on PlayStation, X on Xbox) you hold the crouch button (X on PlayStation, A on Xbox) and then you can move around while aiming/shooting. Hope this helps!

Thank you SO much for this video. It helped a lot.

Agreed. It could definitely be done in a less arcade-y way too, so that it feels more organic.
09 is pure luck

I did hear that the Master collection still has some "minor" problems with the analog sticks, so that's not entirely on you.
Glad I could help! :D
Wish I could run and shoot. Doesn’t let me do it for some reason
That's weird, what platform are you playing on?
@@RedSnake_9 Xbox x. Doesn’t matter now anyway. I got to 85%, which is all I wanted for the ninja missions.

Puzzle 9: how obnoxious. And it's the only way it can be completed.
I don’t get it. I attach it to the guard and he sees me immediately.
