Hey pilots! Tricker here and I want to welcome you to my channel on combat aviation. I’m a real world pilot in the Airbus 319/320/321 series and I enjoy DCS World, Falcon BMS, Falcon 4.0, IL-2 Sturmovik, X-plane 11, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
If you want to fly WWII aircraft over Normandy and the English Channel, then DCS World WWII is for you and they have plenty of aircraft to choose from such as the BF-109, FW-190, Spitfire, P-47 Thunderbolt, and P-51 Mustang. If you enjoy modern aerial combat then you want to focus more on DCS World products such as the F-16, A-10C Warthog, AH-64D Apache, F-15, F-14, JF-17, SU-27, Mirage, Mig-29, F-18 Hornet, Mi-8, Mi-24 Hind, Uh-1 Huey, Ka-50, F-5, Mig-21, AV-8b Harrier, and the F-4 Phantom. Some of the mods that are out there for DCS World are the F-22 Raptor, SU-57, A-4 Skyhawk, Rafale, and Gripen.
I enjoy other games such as Total War, Battlefield, War Thunder, Escape from Tarkov, as well as Squad.

I guess for a bloody beginner they're pretty overwhelming, but for someone like me who flew the A10 awhile ago and had just forgotten many things, these tutorials are absolutly perfect.

@@TrickerDCS Loaded it up today for a Sunday of destruction. One issue of the A-10II that really messed me up was the apparent removal/changes of bore-sighting the TGP; and rapidly switching marked targets with Mav seekers. I used to be able to fire off all 6 Mavs on a single pass of glorious ass-whooping. If you get a chance to review that with a video it would really be appreciated; time for an A-10C renaissance!

these videos are good, I watched them again, the framework for locating targets under pressure for a2g is important.
i love looking out the cockpit and marking the ground then taking a close look, then planning an attack!

The A-10C is a CAS Beast, its a shame though that the F-16C module does not receive the necessary attention
Thanks for the video. Turning On the HMCS objects from OCLD is going to help me a lot. I played around with that but never used it. At 11:30 in the video you "reset everything real quick" -- how did you do that?
TMS AFT Long will reset your sensors to Steerpoint, always look in the bottom left of your HUD to figure out what your SPI is

The sticktion problem of the Warthog base is still not fixed. I bought a Virpil WarBird base and I only regret not getting it sooner. The difference is immense, it will give you so much more joy in flying. Highly recommended!
I get why people call it a wedding cake but I’m fairly certain it’s meant to be a castle.
once you get all the tedious bits out of the way, this aircraft is a lot easier to utilize than I thought. Just need to get used to how slow it is, and still practicing on the slewing/management of the systems to get comfortable. if you have the right HOTAS it's pretty manageable.

Sharing Profiles like TrackIr or Warthog Profiles, is asking for trouble.
You hardware is not the same as mine, it usally never works out 100%.
Just saying I have done this way back, and learnd the hard way.

I notice that the enemy vehicles are not moving, on the real CAS map they are moving!
@@rapidrapid01 yep they are moving but I edited the mission just to make them stationary for the video. I’m on a trip but can upload it in a few days or you can easily save a track and open in the mission editor to stop them from moving

i use f16 - whats biggest advantage with A10? usually you cant fly below 15,000 ft due to manpads in modern battlefields and if a fighter comes you're dead. very situational. even using the gun is a huge risk these days

How to reset everything like this 11:22 ?
I went to this location and I was talking about sharing your SPI. You sure this is the right timestamp?
Do you mean resetting your SPI? Do have to push TMS Aft long (hold it for 1 or 2 seconds). Then your SPI resets to your steerpoint.

@@time988 Yes. You have to push your TMS backwards for a second. That should do the trick.

Ya but once it is perfected the A 10 is quite a thing. The more you fly it the more you build muscle memory and it become easier. I prefer it even on hard core servers for many stuff compare to the F16. Yes even if it flies like a bus. Manpad or chaparral are actually easier to hunt with the A 10 for instance.

@@SauloMogi Ah yes. I don't know about that hardware but I can tell you that the Hotas Warthog is great and also the TrackIR 5 when you found the settings right for you.
The Hotas is good for any modules planes or helicopters.

Great video, helped me understand the different control functions. Do you have a curve set on your tgp slew control, if so what is it? Mine is so jumpy, makes it difficult to move smoothly between targets.
I don’t but you can mess with the curve or the axis to help slow it down a bit.
