Thank you for uploading this! Could you possibly upload the older version? (Same theme song, but different movie montage). This was the most memorable part of going to the movies as a kid, for some reason. Thanks!
Really need to hear the older version of this too. I have such great memories growing up in Madison as a kid going with my parents to the movies at Point Cinema. My mom and I would do this little finger dance during the original theme song. We were both so sad when they changed the theme on us!
Man I wish I was alive in the 90s to see that happen. I only remember this when I was like a child like 8 or 10 years old when I would see that. Boy that's such great nostalgia. I wish they brought these back for like a nostalgia week like bringing back classic films of the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. I would love to see that.
Agreed. Don't get me wrong I like the cringe intros, Greg Marcus does but this just brings back all the memories of going to the theaters and seeing past clips of movies. I used to point out the clips I knew from movies I have seen
Done a great job for years what Ronnies theater did for history and I'm very happy with Marcus Theaters. And your beautiful music intro Drop my days growing up or 37 years walking for the movie theaters. My life growing up. Thank you. Reshaping movie theaters throughout our history. With wonderful Masterpiece films. In the tribute movie theater cinema lights camera and action. To entertain the audience
Now that's how you hype up a movie on the big screen. I do hope they make another intro as hype as this one of these days. Something like this alone is enough to make me go back to the theaters and watch more movies.
I wish that 90s one could be found. I remember the theme song being cheesy but quite catchy too. It was like a light show in Space if I remember correctly...
There was an older version of this that I am really nostalgic for & was sad that they changed it, some of the soundtrack from the old version was used for this one, you notice that around 0:15 you hear a laser like noise? That's because in the old version it was showing a scene from one of the X Men movies of Cyclops using his laser vision
Marcus theaters: Dance To The Beat! AMC: Like some people talking and it comes to an halt by an announcer. Wehrenberg: Oh, That Whisper is a scary thing to start a movie!
This is great, but they need to release the one right before this, circa 1996 - 1997. If you thought the music on this one was legendary, you'll be blown away
The movies that I could think of in this intro were Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith, Wedding Crashers, Napoleon Dynamite, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Cars, X-Men: The Last Stand, Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, The Da Vinci Code, Superman Returns, Miami Vice, Million Dollar Baby, Casino Royale, Batman Begins, Mission: Impossible III, King Kong, Over The Hedge, & Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
@Michael Tucker I can't thank you enough for the comment. Ft depot is a goldmine of old theater bumpers that I never would have known about otherwise. I just spent the last 45 minutes scrolling through what they all have and will undoubtedly be spending days going through everything.
Mac West Same here! The Krikorian theaters have been playing this as well for many years, with a different logo of course and a few alternate clips. (The Krikorian version ends with Peter Jackson' King Kong rather than Ricky Bobby) An older version of this also featured the same music, but completely different clips from older films. (You can still hear the Star Wars lightsaber sound effect, haha)
Here's how I think of ads of every movie theater chain in the USA: Rave Motion Pictures: Seem kind of short, but still some cool 3D graphics! i will post the rest later
I remember a theme from a Marcus policy trailer from the 80s, maybe the 70s as well that was pretty similar to Elenora's theme from 'The Lion in Winter' if someone could; PLEASE upload it.
Question for anyone who can answer, what name of company that runs info, music and trivia at start. They played a song I liked, but for life of me couldn't remember name of song after movie. Limelight was what I thought it was, (little robot..) but Google and Bing are bring up all wrong results. >_<
MJR: Catchy theme song Century Theatres: DUNN DUNN DUNN **clap... clap-clap.... clap-clap-clap** General Cinemas: Popcorn Bob, Pepsi Sue, and the Candy Band! Hoyts: Synthesizer music and big tubes of candy... RIP best movie theater ever
Recently Marcus has been showing these really stupid religious movies, why? It's enough that we must sit through an assault of commercials before the movie starts.
Nostalgic at its finest. I remember this being my most favorite part of the previews. This song was just epic.
I remember this opening. Especially as unused it to point out which movies I had seen and remembered the scenes
It was so hard finding a legit video of this. I like that thene.
I wanna see the one before this one.. from the mid-to-late 90s. THAT one was classic!
Only 73 comments.... this was the greatest video to hype you up to actually watch the movie you went to the theater for. This is slept on by millions
Thank you for uploading this! Could you possibly upload the older version? (Same theme song, but different movie montage). This was the most memorable part of going to the movies as a kid, for some reason. Thanks!
I agree
Exactly
Really need to hear the older version of this too. I have such great memories growing up in Madison as a kid going with my parents to the movies at Point Cinema. My mom and I would do this little finger dance during the original theme song. We were both so sad when they changed the theme on us!
I think they should do the same policy, but different theme song.
Does anybody else agree with me?
I even had a little dance in the theater seat to go with this
I remember this the song still lives in my head
I would like to have this back when I go to this theater. Please can you do this.
this brought back mad memories, this was my local theater
Man I wish I was alive in the 90s to see that happen. I only remember this when I was like a child like 8 or 10 years old when I would see that. Boy that's such great nostalgia. This was straight hype before every movie. The most kick ass way to tell you to turn your cellphone off and buy overpriced snacks

My life growing up.
Thank you. Reshaping movie theaters throughout our history.
With wonderful Masterpiece films. In the tribute movie theater cinema lights camera and action.
To entertain the audience
I can't help but think of the Speed soundtrack when I hear that music
Remember seeing this at my local one years ago, it has since closed in the past month
Now that's how you hype up a movie on the big screen. I do hope they make another intro as hype as this one of these days. Something like this alone is enough to make me go back to the theaters and watch more movies.
OH MY GOD IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOR SO LONG IVE FINALLY FOUND IT
Can you upload ALL versions of this policy trailer, please?
I wish that 90s one could be found. I remember the theme song being cheesy but quite catchy too. It was like a light show in Space if I remember correctly...
Here’s the link to the old version of krikorian theaters: th-cam.com/video/CzReCTygU8k/w-d-xo.html
0:06 Opening to Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Is this song licensed? I'd like to use it for non-profit preshow fun!

Dose anyone remember the one before this with Austin powers and Harry Potter at the end ??
This was my favorite policy theme tralier before the movie started when I was a kid lol
This looks exactly like MJR's policy trailer just without the catchy theme song
I think both promos were commissioned and produced by the same company, that's why the look the same
Only real ones remember Harry Potter under the A
How come they got rid of this intro? It was so good back in those days!
Probably a similar reason to why most corporations keep oversimplifying their logos.
Marcus theaters: Dance To The Beat!
AMC: Like some people talking and it comes to an halt by an announcer.
Wehrenberg: Oh, That Whisper is a scary thing to start a movie!
Regal: Roller coaster
Cinemark: Generic NCM policy trailer
damn I love this music. thank you!!
They kept playing this one at the Safari in Moorhead well into the 2010's
Bless this post
I can smell the popcorn and cheap theater seats, nostalgic af
Marcus Theatres I am begging you to bring these back please
This is great, but they need to release the one right before this, circa 1996 - 1997. If you thought the music on this one was legendary, you'll be blown away
I wonder where they got the music from, and I wonder if you can download it?
Bring this song back!
I miss this
The movies that I could think of in this intro were
Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith, Wedding Crashers, Napoleon Dynamite, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Cars, X-Men: The Last Stand, Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, The Da Vinci Code, Superman Returns, Miami Vice, Million Dollar Baby, Casino Royale, Batman Begins, Mission: Impossible III, King Kong, Over The Hedge, & Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
Cars, James Bond, batman, king Kong, ecc...
this shit is straight nostalgic
Any Chance of uploading these policy trailers in 720p or 1080p?
@Michael Tucker I can't thank you enough for the comment. Ft depot is a goldmine of old theater bumpers that I never would have known about otherwise. I just spent the last 45 minutes scrolling through what they all have and will undoubtedly be spending days going through everything.
Does Parkwood 17 in Waite Park, MN has a pre-show trailer like this, or not?
how come my kirkorian theater has the same song and video but has their name on it?

My childhood
There's this one intro I see at Marcus theaters with a tornado and a storm, and you go through a black hole. What's that one called?
That's the dlp cinema intro
+FlameQuest Gaming I Saw that one today when i was watching the movie Pan
+FlameQuest Gaming ITS NOT A BLACK HOLE!
+FlameQuest Gaming I SAW FOR A COUPLE OF TIMES
I miss this, but the one we have now is much shorter.
Here's how I think of ads of every movie theater chain in the USA: Rave Motion Pictures: Seem kind of short, but still some cool 3D graphics!
i will post the rest later
I miss these dude

Marcus is sooooo much better than amc and the customer service is also 10x more friendly too.
Question for anyone who can answer, what name of company that runs info, music and trivia at start.

Limelight was what I thought it was, (little robot..) but Google and Bing are bring up all wrong results. >_<
Yuffie67 Yep! It's called Limelight and is owned by ScreenVision. Recently though, Front + Center replaced that, which is what Marcus uses now.
Old guy here. If anyone ever finds a link to the one that used to play in the 80s, feel free to @ me.
Mind if I use a clip from this in a youtube video of my own?
Omg yes!!!!!
MARCUS THEATER intro
Wish they had the one from 2003-ish, with chamber of secrets and Spider-Man on it.
I wish you guys at Marcus Thearters would at least keep the music.
Can't believe i actually found this lmfao
That is for the rest of those policy trailers.
Was looking through some of my old liked videos. Um why the heck did I like this LOL
I want to try tabbing this and covering it...
Should I?
bad ass song. :)
Bro this is MJR theater animation intro without the catchy mjr song lol and a different logo
I believe MJR and Marcus' intros were commissioned by the same animation company, hence the similarities.
Cinemark: I miss FRJ and 1980s
Regal: WHOOO-HOOOOO! I AM ON A ROLLERCOASTER!
Carmike: Great memories of movies :)
MJR: Catchy theme song
Century Theatres: DUNN DUNN DUNN **clap... clap-clap.... clap-clap-clap**
General Cinemas: Popcorn Bob, Pepsi Sue, and the Candy Band!
Hoyts: Synthesizer music and big tubes of candy... RIP best movie theater ever
Yes of course
This one's from 2007.
MJR?
Nowhere as good as Cineplex's policy trailers. They show off the sound system as well.
hell yeah
Ain't no Wehrenberg. :-(
i know this from the krikorian
Marcus theate outro
@Yuffie67 Screenvisoin
Goin to watch a movie Pati marcuis
I don't understand why the changed the song...the new one is so lackluster and boring
Recently Marcus has been showing these really stupid religious movies, why? It's enough that we must sit through an assault of commercials before the movie starts.
