What they SHOULD include is a trailer that says, "Regal won't start your movie until 25 minutes AFTER the posted time, 'cause you're gonna see a ton of commercials!"
My regal sometimes doesn’t even have previews but when they do it’s less than 15 minutes so a lot of people assume it’s 25 minutes and then ask for movie swap because they miss the beginning of their movie. Happens every single day…. 🙄 the nerd in me likes to watch the previews so I always go to my movie early but it drives my friends bonkers

I’d annoy my girlfriend when these came on. I’d grab her hand like I’m scared and swing my body with the ride. At the end, I’d high-five her and be “we made it! We made it, everyone!” She hated it so much.

I never went to Regal Cinemas before, but what like about these rollercoaster intros is how they showcase the progression of CGI through the years, as well as the nostalgic look of the snack packaging.

Yes it did. I remember seeing the iconic Regal Cinemas Rollercoaster, it was seen right before the movies that I saw at the Hudson Valley Mall many years ago including “Igor”, “Avatar”, “Alice In Wonderland” (the live-action remake) and others. The last movie I saw at Regal Cinemas at the Hudson Valley Mall was “Hotel Transylvania 3”, and that was the last movie I saw until they closed down in 2019 and then reopened in 2021 as NGC Cinema.

Lol, I was confused about seeing comments about the last popcorn and I thought it was for the modern one but no, it was for the early 2010s one.
It's kinda funny how they kept it the same for so long with just some minor tweaks before completely changing the visuals and replacing the song twice out of the blue

You don't know how much fun that was! Growing up in 2004-2019 was the best for me. The popcorn thing at the end was the thing in my time.
All versions before 4:18 are the best. These new ones just aren't the same. I didn't know they were with Pepsi was back when. I only knew them to be with Coke. When Regal went back to Pepsi, I didn't know till I walked into one and saw Pepsi displays everywhere.

yeah they were with pepsi for a long time you probably have no idea Regal Made a Western Policy Trailer in the late 90s - early 2000s featuring Jessie Essienbergs little sister Hailey essienberg aka Pepsi Girl . So many people complained about it cause they said it was too long and boring so they switched back to the roller coaster

The music in the old ones were sick the RMC treatment Regal gave them was pointless.

It’s 35mm. I used to run film there but I was too good for them. That green scratch says it all.😅
And now, Regal Cinemas is shutting down 39 movie theaters across the country due to CineWorld’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy. And soon, the Regal Cinemas iconic rollercoaster will be history. Thank you for the incredible ride after two decades.

The CG is better, but the amazing music, style and charm of the original is completely gone.

I used to work at Regal Cinemas when it came out in 1996 and I sawe every movie they had including Jurassic Park 2 Lost World Titanic and Volcano and Breakdown best times were seeing the movies but I hated dealing with the people back then now Regal Cinemas is gone where I am at ... thank god.

The last live action movie I saw in theaters was Jumanji 2: the Next Level, and the last animated movie that I saw in theaters was Frozen 2, both in 2019, I miss going to the movies 🙁😔😞🍿🎬.
I want to see Encanto in theaters but you have to be vaccinated 😒. Shang Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings, would have also been cool to see in theaters, anyway I watched it on Disney plus, waiting to watch Encanto on Disney plus on December 24th.
