No, You weren't. Lol!! I did all the time and I would say whoaa, Whoaa!! And scream when the last corn would pop acting like it scared the living day lights out of me 😂😂😂 The newer policy coaster trailers are Trash 😔 These kids will never know!
Yes it did. I remember seeing the iconic Regal Cinemas Rollercoaster, it was seen right before the movies that I saw at the Hudson Valley Mall many years ago including “Igor”, “Avatar”, “Alice In Wonderland” (the live-action remake) and others. The last movie I saw at Regal Cinemas at the Hudson Valley Mall was “Hotel Transylvania 3”, and that was the last movie I saw until they closed down in 2019 and then reopened in 2021 as NGC Cinema.
What they SHOULD include is a trailer that says, "Regal won't start your movie until 25 minutes AFTER the posted time, 'cause you're gonna see a ton of commercials!"
My regal sometimes doesn’t even have previews but when they do it’s less than 15 minutes so a lot of people assume it’s 25 minutes and then ask for movie swap because they miss the beginning of their movie. Happens every single day…. 🙄 the nerd in me likes to watch the previews so I always go to my movie early but it drives my friends bonkers
I never went to Regal Cinemas before, but what like about these rollercoaster intros is how they showcase the progression of CGI through the years, as well as the nostalgic look of the snack packaging.
And now, Regal Cinemas is shutting down 39 movie theaters across the country due to CineWorld’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy. And soon, the Regal Cinemas iconic rollercoaster will be history. Thank you for the incredible ride after two decades. RIP: Regal Cinemas😢
They're just closing a few to save money, also why are you posting on multiple of these videos, people aren't fully gonna believe you. Attention Grabber.
It's kinda funny how they kept it the same for so long with just some minor tweaks before completely changing the visuals and replacing the song twice out of the blue
Ahh, so much nostalgia.❤😊❤ Also the last bit of popcorn always gave me a freaking heart attack. No matter how much I prepared for it, it always got me.
I don’t think I’ve ever been in any regal cinemas, as I don’t recall seeing this… but now I want to find the nearest one to visit whenever the third Sonic movie comes out on the day after my birthday!
I’d annoy my girlfriend when these came on. I’d grab her hand like I’m scared and swing my body with the ride. At the end, I’d high-five her and be “we made it! We made it, everyone!” She hated it so much.
I used to work at Regal Cinemas when it came out in 1996 and I sawe every movie they had including Jurassic Park 2 Lost World Titanic and Volcano and Breakdown best times were seeing the movies but I hated dealing with the people back then now Regal Cinemas is gone where I am at ... thank god.
The early ones remind me of the good ol days, when after seeing this, you know you were in for 2 hours of enjoyment, as opposed to the newer ones, where you are buckled in and ready to receive a lecture on diversity.
3:12 / In 2010 when How to Train Your Dragon 🐉 first started playing on regal. Until in 2013 Jurassic Park was turning 20 years old. Those were my favorite ❤️ life days
I remember most of the earlier ones because a Regal Cinema was in my hometown before it closed down. Never saw any of the theater policy that start at 4:17 and after.
Yes it is! The final policy trailer and the last ride of the vertical roller coaster until it will be shutting down all 39 movie theaters soon and it will be its final ride until it closes down forever.
Streaming is killing movie theaters and these studios wonder why. Like duhhhhh you're the reason why. Movies Streaming a month after theatrical release is crazy.
I’m fortunate that during the 15 years I lived in Bend, Oregon, my family and friends would frequent Regal theaters! It was an experience! Sucks that there aren’t any in San Jose, CA!
The last live action movie I saw in theaters was Jumanji 2: the Next Level, and the last animated movie that I saw in theaters was Frozen 2, both in 2019, I miss going to the movies 🙁😔😞🍿🎬. I want to see Encanto in theaters but you have to be vaccinated 😒. Shang Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings, would have also been cool to see in theaters, anyway I watched it on Disney plus, waiting to watch Encanto on Disney plus on December 24th.
I miss when that last popcorn would send a shockwave through the theater
Me too. I was scared at first but then loved it.
RIGHT
That is so loud too!
thats what im saying
It was so freaking loud
I can't be the only kid who threw my hands up during the coaster back in the day, lol.
No, You weren't. Lol!! I did all the time and I would say whoaa, Whoaa!! And scream when the last corn would pop acting like it scared the living day lights out of me 😂😂😂 The newer policy coaster trailers are Trash 😔 These kids will never know!
My sister and I would sit in the back row just so we could do that!
Bruh my dad does that lmao
that was me
I still do this as an adult lol
The last kernel pop always scares the bejeezus out of me.
Same here lol
Same
I miss it
Same for me
it scares the kanga outta me before
Brings me right back to going to the movies as a kid. Thanks for posting!
Heard they're about to file for bankruptcy.

Same I seen this in 2014
@@Noahmediacornerme too
Popcorn in the original be like:
"The audience is now deaf."

I live in hawaii so it takes 6 minutes of ads of the time its us im the theater
Dude this was so nostalgic, also I like how the sponsor changes from pepsi to coke.

When you don't flinch when the popcorn pops 😏
Lol, I was confused about seeing comments about the last popcorn and I thought it was for the modern one but no, it was for the early 2010s one.
Dude the final 90s one was the GOAT
Man, I wish so badly that I could see the one at 3:13 on the big screen just one last time
That’s the one I grew up with 🥹 nostalgic af
That was the one I grew up on. 😅
I think that’s the one most of us grew up with and love 🥹🥹🥹
Same I miss it 😢
Me too
I was shocked they still did this. No other theater has a intro.
look up kirkorian theater intro. That was another classic
B&B still has an intro
Alamo still does an intro
Doesn't AMC do intros?
@@usandthem72In a way. They're more akin to the other Regal ads, where it's live action.
When can we get this coaster in VR form
I want a VR game where you can make your own movie theater and play movies in it through streaming.
My childhood!!!!
The 90s feel like heaven the last good decade
Early 2000’s were good too tho
Or 2010s
Love how the original one was film on 16mm film for the nostalgic charm… even the original has aged well on certain aspects…
I think the OG is waayyy better than the current version
It’s 35mm. I used to run film there but I was too good for them. That green scratch says it all.😅
*me a millennial* Kids today will never understand how that first roller coaster just hits. So nostalgic! 😭🚮
Attchaly that version (or at least the regal entraient version) was in use till 2018
You don't know how much fun that was! Growing up in 2004-2019 was the best for me. The popcorn thing at the end was the thing in my time.
3:13 this one is my favorite
I like how they advertise the refreshments. Makes me want to get some after seeing this!
And now, Regal Cinemas is shutting down 39 movie theaters across the country due to CineWorld’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy. And soon, the Regal Cinemas iconic rollercoaster will be history. Thank you for the incredible ride after two decades.

Good riddance- those bastards are the reason why I left the theater business after 10 years.
They are still alive
the regal cinema in my state/area got shut down and replaced with cinemark, imma miss regal 😭
My city had two now just one.
They axed the one that didn’t have a parking lot and kept the one by the highway which has a big lot and garage.
It's kinda funny how they kept it the same for so long with just some minor tweaks before completely changing the visuals and replacing the song twice out of the blue
I always want to put my hands up
I'm hungry
0:44 OH GOD, DUCK!!!
Thanks for compiling this collection!!
Back in 2015 I was very upset when they changed it and I always wondered if they would change it back
I know the modern 3D one of the 2000s where the last kernel pop was so loud it rattled the theater, and the logo and brand was pure gold
Ahh, so much nostalgia.❤😊❤
Also the last bit of popcorn always gave me a freaking heart attack. No matter how much I prepared for it, it always got me.
I’m crying
this masterpiece is now 30 years old.
There is a another version of the recent Regal roller coaster with the Coke bottles being replaced with Pepsi bottles.
Ah I always appreciated this little short rollercoaster scene before the movie! It just gives good vibes and prepares the mood for the movie!
Those last ones are hilarious- like Regal would ever have curtains, those get in the way of preshow ads!
Magical. Simply magical.
I don’t think I’ve ever been in any regal cinemas, as I don’t recall seeing this… but now I want to find the nearest one to visit whenever the third Sonic movie comes out on the day after my birthday!
2:08, always the best version!!
This is the future they took from us
I play this before watching movies at home 🙃
Me too
My favorite memory of seeing this rollercoaster intro was when I saw it before the first SpongeBob Squarepants film
The 3rd 1 is the 1st 1 i ever saw & my personal fav
4th was the first and my personal fav
I’d annoy my girlfriend when these came on. I’d grab her hand like I’m scared and swing my body with the ride. At the end, I’d high-five her and be “we made it! We made it, everyone!” She hated it so much.

How’d they go from nonstop hit to mid :/
I miss watching these in the movie theaters
The early ones remind me of the good ol days, when after seeing this, you know you were in for 2 hours of enjoyment, as opposed to the newer ones, where you are buckled in and ready to receive a lecture on diversity.
Man I miss the days when I use to go to the theater and got scared by that last popcorn pop
I Love Regal ❤
Me too
why did they change the tune on the new one?!
I work at Regal rn and this is engraved into my mind!
3:54 Popcorn Jumpscare! XD
I recently saw Morbius in 4DX. Let me just say, freaking awesome it felt like I was on a roller coaster
Lol, the only good part of the movie
it's morbin time
3:12 / In 2010 when How to Train Your Dragon 🐉 first started playing on regal. Until in 2013 Jurassic Park was turning 20 years old. Those were my favorite ❤️ life days
4:18 god I wish I could see this again :^
edit: IT WAS 4:57 THAT I REMEMBER SEEING DAMN IT-
Great Job!❤
I never realized these rollarcoaster intro have been around for a long time, just I’ve never been in a theater in my entire 2000s childhood.
I prefer the train coaster over the new one to be honest
Me too. I’m not too fond of the updated version.
I remember most of the earlier ones because a Regal Cinema was in my hometown before it closed down. Never saw any of the theater policy that start at 4:17 and after.
The updated one now is so mid.
The CG is better, but the amazing music, style and charm of the original is completely gone.
Did everyone else specifically look up the Regal movie into?
4:58 the current regal
Yes it is! The final policy trailer and the last ride of the vertical roller coaster until it will be shutting down all 39 movie theaters soon and it will be its final ride until it closes down forever.
@@Musicradio77Network no it's not...
Here after hearing Regal’s parent company filed for bankruptcy

THANK YOU! SOMEONE ELSE FINALLY SAYS IT!!!!
Regal cinemas early roller coaster is only bested by 1st Gen PlayStation boot up sound for best nostalgia sounds
Was that "special bonus" at 5:36 also done for Regal?
It was originally done for Consolidated Theaters but was used by Regal later on
Oh so Pepsi was the first drink, then Coke took over, and now Pepsi is back :)
It only makes sense that when you switch to Pepsi you don’t advertise it and instead show 2 big red soda cups.
Thats how they designed the damn cups buddy. Deal with it.
5:47 STAR WARS!? 😳
Cool
I know all the Regal intros but surprisingly I have never been to Regal
Every time I go to the movie theaters my mom always takes me to the same theater freaking AMC
Well at least I was lucky that my mom took me to regal every time When a new movie comes out
I’m fortunate that during the 15 years I lived in Bend, Oregon, my family and friends would frequent Regal theaters! It was an experience!
Sucks that there aren’t any in San Jose, CA!
I WENT TO REGAL FOUR TIMES IM BACK LOL
Also the theater was ONCE A RAVE CINEMAS THEN CARMIKE THEN AMC THEN NOTHING CHANGED THERE IS STILL RAVE LOGOS IN THAT BUILDING LIKE WHAT?!
2021 update with the new version having blue Pepsi cups instead of Coke?
I wonder if regal cinemas is still open.
I think you forgot the one from 2015.
3:12
@@TheSovJ I meant 2015.
They should do it with either atoms voice from toonami or Jarvis voice
You forgot the 1998 version (Pepsi Project Blue)
I mean, technically that isn't a rollercoaster, but that is a good bit of trivia.
1990s: let's have the last popcorn jumpscare the moviegoers
Present: P H Y S I C S
The music and sound effects are the same
This compilation is missing one variation. After the 1991-1996 Pepsi design there was the 1997-2003 version before the switch to Coke.
Can anyone help me find the movie theatre intro that has the greenish/teal car/spaceship? It had to have been 90s. With Coca Cola in it.
4:19
The regal roller coaster has been around since the 90s?
Poor mum and dad 😅🤦♂️🤦♂️
Don't forget the Sprint
Great memories. Please don't stream everything. Support your local theater
What a man of culture!
Fuck Regal. They don’t care about giving you a good experience, just taking as much of your money as they can and shoving ads in your face.
Remember there was one with the minions
Now there’s one with queen poppy and branch from trolls.
5:10 I like the orchestra
You forgot the minions and trolls one
these used to scare the ever living shit outta me as a kid. i had nightmares about the popcorn part
I miss the days when Coke was their main sponsor and they would make really great advertisements! The pandemic really fucked lots of stuff up!
HI CEC Virginia! I subbed to you.
I miss the old roller coaster. It's nice that they still have it, but the current one isn't as fun as the old one was.
Seen seven movies during 1997 including the Star Wars trilogy.
Ahh college days at wright state in Fairborn Ohio
