World's Largest Aircraft Antonov An-225 Mriya Takeoff at Toronto Pearson Airport YYZ

The Antonov An-225 “Mriya” arrived at Toronto Pearson Airport May 30, 2020 and parked at the infield terminal to unload 25,000 boxes of PPE. It stayed overnight and on the morning of May 31, 2020 the enormous aircraft prepared to depart for Anchorage. The crew arrived about an hour before the scheduled departure in front of many spectators. The aircraft was then pushed back from its parking spot and the nose opened up to store the tow bar. Then, they taxied down to runway 06L where before departure, they did an engine run up. The mighty aircraft finally lifted off the runway for Anchorage Ted Stevens International Airport at 1234z.
