Wow David great project!! This restoration had it all cast iron, wood, and some fancy paint.😀 Loved seeing the process. glad you mentioned soaking the bucket I was wondering about that. I've worked with that milk paint I gotta say I'm not a fan. I use that faucet grease as lip balm in the winter I'm totally fine.🤣🤣 It's o.k. use it everyday. Seriously great restoration. catch up with ya later
Mr. David! Brother what a outstanding job! You are very talented and I like seeing how you go about your project and the details you do to get the results at the end... thank you for sharing that and the colors are perfect in my opinion! I hope it made yall ice cream over the th 4th.. and if so I bet it was good.. we ran out of ice, so I didn't get any this year..lol enjoyed my stop by into your shop today! Gooder than good stuff!
Thanks so much Vic. I haven’t used it , just trying to carve out the time. It’s gonna be a lot of hand cranking! I’ll get to it in the next week or two. Enjoy your weekend.
Another great restore! I have one request. When you run the video at higher speeds, if you could reduce the volume, I would be happy. The squeaky voice sounds come across very loud in my speakers. Love you channel!
John, great suggestion. I actually noticed the same thing and it irritates me as well. I'll work on that and appreciate the comments. How do you feel in general about the speeding? is better to get more content in that way, or would you prefer shorter glimpses of the content at normal speed? I'm still learning. thanks David.
@@westhighlandsshop I do like the speed-ups. On some other channels, they tend to just show 10 minutes of the same thing. In those cases I prefer speed-ups over fades and especially over strait video. By the way. I really like your channel. A bit of Honesty and love of the craft really comes through well! I fell like I'm watching somebody who cares about the work!
Hey, thanks! Yes, they were originally tin plated and it was failing pretty bad and had a lot of rust. I was able to get the rust out but was not able to re-plate so I did end up painting for preservation. The gears I just oiled. Appreciate you watching!

Thank you brother. It was fun, except painting and sanding the milk paint twice! Done with that. Appreciate the comments.
That turned out really nice. Love the color choices.
Thanks Ryan, just having a little fun with it!

Thanks for this! Did the internal parts need any treatment?

I’d have nickel plated that inner container.
But overall it looks good.
