We have an event being hosted by Tennessee Constitutional Grassroots Coalition in Spetember. This group is comprised of at least 13 counties here in TN and include around 11,000 TN citizens. The counties included are as follows: Anderson, Blount, Hamblen, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Monroe, Roane, Sevier, Sullivan, Union, Washington, and Hawkins. I would love to hear from you. Thanks brother stay safe.

    I got the first GEN 6 months after they released it. I got it as a backpack carbine. It _easily_ fits inside a 20L backpack.
    It is amazingly accurate. The 9mm has surprising muzzle velocity thanks to the longer barrel. My Cousin/Neighbor got the 2nd GEN in .40 S&W. I recommend that caliber if you already have a pistol of the same caliber. I have over a thousand rounds through my GEN ONE 9mm. No hiccups. Half a dozen jams - every jam directly attributable to my laziness in the cleaning category. I've carried it for hundreds of miles. It is a standard 4-wheeler / side-by-side carry for me. I use the 33rd Glock mags. I have 4 of them. Never had a problem with them. Never once have I had a F2F. It's always an ejection jam due to how dirty I have let it get . . . and stay . . . for too long. You'll get flack from haters. Let'em hate. I love this carbine.

    • @mikie1466
      @mikie1466 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Half a dozen " jams" in a 1000 rounds is horrible. 😂 one in 300 is a no go for most trained people. I shot thousands of rounds through mine never did anything but bore snake it and I don't think it ever had a malfunction beside the sights falling off.

    • @la_old_salt2241
      @la_old_salt2241 25 วันที่ผ่านมา +11

      @mikie1466 Did you see he said, If he didn't clean it, or left it dirty too long? That's always an issue, no matter what you're shooting. Clean it.

    • @zippitydoodah5693
      @zippitydoodah5693 25 วันที่ผ่านมา +8

      @@mikie1466 Reading comprehension ain't your strong point, is it . . . since your grasp of basic reasoning and elementary logic are, uhm..... _apparently limited_ , I'll explain in more detail. "Hundreds of miles" in a saddle scabbard on my Polaris, or in the bed of my K'saki Mule, means dust, dirt, sawdust, pollen, chert dust, ( _dirt roads - I live in the real country_ ) pine tree bark, rain, dew, humidity.... do you get the picture? My SUB2000 hasn't been indoors in 20 years. I have a Snake Charmer I treat the same way.
      I've never cleaned the Snake Charmer. I've cleaned the SUB2000 maybe 3 times. When it has jammed in the past, i hit it with CLP, work the action and keep going. I've never put anything through the bore but lead. I don't know how many guns I own. It's that many. I generally take as good of care of them as the next guy. My most expensive weapons ( $10k and up) stay the cleanest ( and are rarely or never used) . My "tool" guns stay in or on vehicles . . . tractors, side-by-sides, 4 wheelers, motorcycles, jeep, trucks.
      The ones that are exposed to the elements get dirty. Not a hard concept to grasp, bub. Maybe that will clear that up for you. Give me ANY gun and let me carry it around in a saddle scabbard on a Polaris for a couple of decades without properly cleaning it on a regular basis, and it'll jam. " _most trained people_ " understand that. My training? Military. Same as many people. Same as a large segment of my family. But I had additional training courtesy of Uncle Sam post military duty. I served my country in more capacities than just the military. Again, something several of my family members have done as well. Doesn't mean I ain't lazy about proper maintenance of ALL my weapons. It sounds like you left a bore snake or a ramrod up your ejection port some time ago. I'd take that out soon. It'll help you focus on words when reading and improve your level of comprehension. Good luck with that.

    It's so special around the geographical area I live in because it's Navy Blue and thus very difficult to find! Also chambered in 9mm with a Glock G19 mag well installed. What a load of fun this weapon is at the shooting range!

    As mentioned, his is a gen 1, the gen 2 has the full rail that doesn't twist, but you can get a 45 degree rail mount that sits flush in between the pic rails, and mount a pistol red dot, and it works great, if you don't mind a 45 degree hold.
    Also, You can remove the rear pin that holds the stock on, and relocate it to shorten or lengthen the stock a small amount.
    FYI, that stock retains the recoil spring, so hold onto it when you let the pin out, so it doesn't go flying.
    I have thousands of reloads through my subs.
    Super fun.

    That's a Gen1 next to it. Gen2 had a Pic rail top and bottom, but couldn't fold with a top-mounted opric.

    I have the Second Gen 2000 and went with the M - Carbo flip up mount for the red dot sight. I prefer to have the sights on it just for back up. I know that I am not as proficient with a handgun as a lot of people. I am 53 and just started using handguns about 5 years ago. I don't practice enough with my 9mm handgun to be proficient so yes, the sub 2000 is a better option for me because I have shot more rifles and shotguns than handguns.

    Nice have you ever seen that conversion kit for a Glock. I got one years ago for my Glock 17 has a 16 inch barrel and I think a better stock than a AR's. That's quite a little shooter.

    A few years back, my best friend's mom had one of these guns in an area that was not at all friendly to 2A. She was a remarkable woman and truly patriotic. Unfortunately, she died suddenly due to a heart condition she kept to herself, then a few years later, after the Covid plandemic, her son, my best friend, died from blood clots. Never thought seeing one of these shitty little carbines would bring back so many memories and feelings.

    The 90 degree twist is a bit odd, but I've never looked at KelTec as normal lol. Not for me, but still a neat concept.

    I absolutely love my Gen2 Sub-2k. My preferred paper hunter! While I'm getting better with the Glock 17 Gen5, I'm twice as percise with the Kel-Tec. It's a fun stapler.
    I do get how a tall person might feel uncomfortable with it though. I am 5'7' and it still feels small to me. I mean, compared to the absolute monster that my Uzkon TR-100.

    8:19 looks like it's got a decent amount of kick back by your grip imo but I like it's portability n ability to switch out mags with a 9mm glock that is cool 😁

    I have a Keltec sub2000 gen 3 in 40sw, made the mistake of putting my off hand under the stock for added support while shooting from a bench with bags while sighting in a red dot, damn that charging knob hurts when it comes back, I still have the scar.

    Put a 45 degree mount on my Gen 2, works better than you’d think or expect. (Needs to be thin, so it will still fold. Used: FENTUK Picatinny Offset Rail Mounts, 3 4 5 Slots 45 Degree Offset Angled Picatinny Weaver Rail Mount. I have no connection to the company) Nice thing the original sights still work. Just a heads up: Predator V2 Reflex Sight with 45 Degree Offset Mount - scope is ok, mount is too thick.

    When I was in the gun business we were able to sell all the SUB 2000's we could get but availability of those guns from our distributors just plain sucked!

    • @blahorgaslisk7763
      @blahorgaslisk7763 25 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Availability sucked for everything Keltec. But there's an interesting reason. Everything is built in their factory, and all equipment is payed for, they have no loans. This is good for them, but bad when the market wants more products than they can ship. In order to expand most would go get a huge loan for the new equipment and buildings, but Keltec don't want to acquire huge loans and instead works at collecting the money needed before building more capacity. This may seem the wrong way to do this but the advantage is they don't have to worry about payment of loans. What they have is theirs and no bank is lifting interests from their work.
