Hey Tami! Actually we saved money!! By not having our builder add these things (like lockers in the mud room and built ins in the pantry etc) we were able to keep the cost of our build down. Why pay a higher mortgage and therefore interest on these things that we can save up for and do ourselves? Would it have been easier just to pay someone else to do these things and roll it into our mortgage? Sure. But is that the smart way to do it when we can save a ton of money and do it ourselves? Nope. The way we are doing things makes sense to us and to our pockets! Have a blessed day!!! 😆
