Tim Foust’s “Will you still live me tomorrow/Stay.” Great demonstration of Tim’s vocal range.

I prefer this version to the Jeff version. Tim's annunciation is clearer, without the extra m and h sounds Jeff uses.
Also, Peter adds an ethereal feel that's missing from the other versions. They really do have an amazing mix together.

Both Tim Foust and Peter Hollens are astounding singers.
I highly recommend anything that either of them have done, but especially anything they collaborate on.

This is my favorite version of this song. The contrast in voices is beautiful. Peter in the higher tenor ranges & then paired with the true natural bass voice of Tim. And that last dragon's breath note is truly remarkable & how long he sustains it. Peter & Tim have collaborated on quite a few other songs & they are all beautiful. Peter is a master at layering voices. Peter & Tim have done "Sound Of Silence", "Bridge Over Troubled Water", "Greensleeves", "Fire & Rain", "Sunshine On My Shoulders", "Teach Your Children", "You Can Close Your Eyes" & "And So It Goes". All are excellent!

I’ve been a Home Fry for a good while now, and have listened to every song Home Free has on UTube. I feel like Tim is always holding back. If he ever let the full power of his voice escape, it would take out the first 3 rows at their concerts. He’s really a dragon in human form.🐝❤️🤗

They do have a song that is only on Facebook, not sure if you knew that. TH-cam would not allow it.

Oh I love this! If you stare at Tim long enough you’ll see the camera shake. Peter is incredible. He’s a master of layering. I think he used 120 tracks of their two voices. Peter and Tim collaborate a lot. They have so many songs together that guess what? They’re going to do an album. Can’t wait. Try And So It Goes by them….it’s stunning. Also, Greensleeves, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Sounds of Silence and more. Great reaction Rob!🥰💗

Peter Hollens has teamed up with Home Free a couple of times. "Amazing Grace" is the best, and after that "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For." Tim and Peter also did a version of "The Sound of Silence" together... it's worth looking into.

“Gravitas” I think is the word your looking for when describing the feeling of emotional impact for the Misty Mountains song in the Hobbit movie. It’s completely somber and has tremendous weight to it when it’s sung, it’s dreadful but also slightly hopeful in how welcoming it sounds.

I agree with damn near everything you've said except, 'that's a perfect microphone'. Sure, a good mic and a particular mic (due to it's inerrant characteristics) may help, but you must have a stellar performance to record in the first place. The mic, regardless of the cost, isn't going to fix a bad performance. Autotune may help you, if it's used wisely, but the guys being recorded need to have the chops in the first place. These guys have the chops, and I know you know that. It's a great performance, embellished by overdubs in the studio. The arrangement for the harmonies is incredible. It's a symphony created with two dudes, and many overdubs, in the studio.
""don't put a commercial on me right now", hint hint, there's a thing out there called, ad blockers. I use one by Orion, it works. I never see commercials, but I see the videos. It's your choice of course, but there is a way out of that shit.
