    always cook this dish when i don't have any appetite to eat. Hot steamy fragrant rice + dark soy sauce + fried anchovies w onions are best to enjoy together - when you live alone!

    Thabks for sharing. It will taste better is you add some sugar and lime. And use a larger & better quality anchovies (yellowish in color).

    Hi.. Can I know how long it took for you to fluently speak German? I'm really considering to study in Germany and hopefully live there sometime soon. You really inspire me to do something different and not just rot in Malaysia my whole life.

    • @nyonyacooking
      @nyonyacooking  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Ain Stromwick I still wouldn't consider myself exactly fluent but within 6 months I was able to speak okay enough for others to understand :P But I've already learnt the language for 1.5 years, twice a week. I would really encourage you to just do it if you want to. Don't worry so much and try to work things out as you go on!

    I don't saute the onions.
    Fried anchovies is the only cooking.
    When cooled, mix fried anchovies with raw red onions sliced or chopped , sliced red chillies, with a dash of lemon juice.

      +Nyonya Cooking haha you are in for it now, I would like to see substitutes for Muslims such as myself and vegetarians if possible. I would really like to also see family dishes from YOUR house you grew up with, also the way to do ingredients from home. About some of the ingredients. Malay, Malay Chinese, Malay Indian. Dishes from Muslims, Hindus, Buddhist etc.. And if you can. Going to be very cheeky. Either include me in your starting page or dedicate a recipe for me, please include everything that is a must such as pork and substitute for rice wine or what we can omit, the history of Malaysia and how the dishes came pictures, I know! So much!also grace of you need any help please do not hesitate to ask. I will be very happy to help. Thank you for hearing my call. I really appreciate it :D x lots of well wishes x

    • @cucursayur1653
      @cucursayur1653 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Swee Yee the taste will get less intense I suppose, plus it suck up pretty lot of liquid. If you wish to wash them, just a couple of rinse, dont scrub. and then dry it in the oven or under the sun~
      Normally i dont wash it!
