I want to say personally I think you have some of the most beautiful content around. Esoteric, I think we need more unique stuff. Less is more. I appreciate the time your spend doing it and always look forward to your next video!
Thanks so much! You made my day. I might get more views if I danced in the street in my underwear but that would just be plain silly. Gonna keep doing what I love. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great ideas are so serendipitous. Strike on the idea while the idea is fresh and hot. Us creative folks tend to get distracted easily. Lol! Combine that with your ability to entertain and you create great content. Thx Billy. Thx for great content.
I love your videos, Billy! Here's a fun random idea for a livestream: get koalasampler for mac/ios (android version has latency issues) and then figure it out live while creating a song with viewer provided self-recorded samples. Thanks so much for your amazing work!
You do good videos. Why more people are not tuning in, nobody knows...well, the universe knows but not us. The same reason some bands get big and others don't, regardless of talent.
Well, I have changed my content a little and for most of the videos the Thumbnails and titles suck. I've been going back and redoing them. If anyone has suggestions for better titles please let me know.
I prefer the esoteric 👍 Octave mando tuning is way more useful to me than the guitar (baritone ukulele) tuning. I have an old Gretsch archtop tenor. It’s super cool and dark sounding. I put mandola strings on it. Fourth string tuned to E. So if I want true octave mandolin range I’ll just capo on the third fret.
Do you know the channel AudioHaze? He's recently had big growth in viewership by shifting from more esoteric sound to "here's how your favorite artists did it" framing. If you're interested, I'm sure you could do similar videos but on a different vein of artists and more professional studio centric (AudioHaze focuses on home recording).
Yes. I had to take a break from that to deal with the appliance apocalypse, the tornado and now I'm in a band. I might just be trying to do too much...
You should have made a video about tracking that song on 2" tape and filmed how you cut and spliced the parts together, you recorded this on 2" tape didn't you? 🤣🤣🤣 sounds great anyway
That song you recorded is utterly, utterly spectacular.
Thanks! I went down that rabbit hole to find it. It's up on Spotify and here on my YT channel.

TENOR GUITAR is what Bobby Gentry played on "Ode to Billy Joe"
Wow! I didn't know that.
Cool instrument. I have my Dad's old 4 string, tenor banjo. Good to see ya back!
Thanks man! I'm trying to keep up but now that I'm back in a band again with these young punks....
That's a beautiful song Bobby

Maxim... thanks so much. I've been thinking of remaking some classic 808 drum beats with this 808 re-issue (TR-8) Any suggestions?
@@FreakingOutWithBillyHume sounds great. I would recreate some classics vs. some of the modern patterns and sounds.
As always good stuff... 9 min of pure joy..
Nice! Glad you liked it.
Cool! Very!
Thanks!
Hey man, fell down a rabbit hole of your videos. I dig your approach to production. Where are you located?
Thanks! I'm near Atlanta.

I'm subscribed to that channel. I have thought of doing something similar. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@FreakingOutWithBillyHume Sweet :) I'd love to hear your insights on some of your favorite albums!
EBow... Why not?
Ebow always!
Still working on that album?
Yes. I had to take a break from that to deal with the appliance apocalypse, the tornado and now I'm in a band. I might just be trying to do too much...

That's a good idea! I have done some 2" stuff but mostly on my 1" 16 track.
