You have a beautiful perspective on Istanbul. I feel like some of the images you showed in the video really speaks of the chaotic energy here. Also was nice to see the streets I grew up in being photographed, as if I'm not walking past these "ordinary" scenes every day. Great video!
First time Im watching your video. And its absolutely great. Very informative, all information is useful, no BS, tons of samples, Great editing, nice choice of music...10 out of 10. And thank you that you not filming this in a dark room, with pink light and Mac on a background and little IKEA cactus in a corner of the table!!!!!)))) Im a your subscriber now. Keep doing great job! Your photos are fire!!!!! Pure Street Photography.
The 40mm of the x and 28mm of the regular one are my favorite focal lengths! So versatile and great for documentary photography. And I agree about the highlight metering. It’s the only thing I miss about my a6400
Nice to hear you saying that is one of the Bert camera for street photography. On the first video, you sounded like you did not like it. The Ricoh GR iii and x are so great
The image quality of your photos was superb. Personally, I rather liked the “photo bomb guy.” That pix was really impressive and I think he added a little something to the shot. Thanks for posting!
Highlight metering is the best, when I found out my Nikon Z5 has it (when I got it) I was hyped because I use it on the GR III regularly. The only thing I missed with my XPro-2. Hopefully Fuji will offer it in the future. When an X-Pro 4 gets released I would like to switch back to an X-Pro XF27mm WR setup. I loved that lens.
4:43 gave me so much anxiety! This week I dropped my favorite aviator sunglasses into a koi pond while leaning over to take a picture. When I heard the splash, I first thought I dropped my 35mmf2 lens. Gave myself the pat-down and only later realized it was my shades. Didn't even get a good koi shot.
I love your work, Faizal. Appreciate it a lot. Thanks!!! Would be so interesting to see your whole set up with the GR and your post-processing routine. Especially how you handle color: with color profiles, in LR or even elsewhere... Maybe in one of the next videos? Cheers from Germany and thank you once again for sharing your amazing images.
That photo bomber made that shot, it broke up the norm of text books styles and its unique too you. You said you did really well at a shot of a guy walking towards you, well.. you did it's nice but let your audience tell you how great it is. Nice channel, been watching your work which speaks for ( itself ) cok guzel, hos gelden.
Yay! Insane shots of Istambul. You are such a good photographer. You pointed out my exact feeling about the 3X and it's that it does not catches the eye and people don't give importance to it. I'm glad you are confirming this about it. I will prob soon get one along with the old Gr v1.
I really wanted to love the GRIIIx for the portability, but I ended up selling it after a pretty short time because I found the screen almost impossible to use in bright light. There were times when I just couldn’t see anything on it and totally missed photos as a result. For now I’m sticking with a viewfinder, accepting the extra size and hoping some genius figures out how to put one in a pocketable body some time soon.
faizel, are your pics straight out of camera? i really love the colours of positive film! i would love to see a video how you have set up your camera. thanks and keep going
They dont have a specific setup for this but on any camera you can use exposure compensation minus 2 stops would do the trick on most situation for fast shooting if you have time to set your shot just use spot metering on the highlighted part of your scene and it’s done , it’s nice that it’s automatic on the gr but if you know how to work around your exposure it’s only a gimmick
Really good video, loved it! One thing I noticed, it seemed like you shot more portrait shots with this camera, was that something that A) happened, and B) was a result of the new camera and its size/versatility?
It mean that when calculating the exposure for you the camera is protecting the highlight so they don’t get overexposed, it helps at the same time getting great deep shadow … if your camera doesn’t have it you can simply use your dial compensation wheel on minis 2 and in most cases it will do the exact same thing …
I always have a hard time with exposure when shooting at reflections, it's either under exposed or the camera ends up focusing on something else. Have you ever done a video on that?
I've been enjoying it a lot more! I got it so I could also take photos with it and it hasn't disappointed! I do find the A7S3 defintely has more dynamic range for video, but it hasn't been too much of a deal breaker for me

Hi @failza, just a question. Do you think positive film can be simulated into fuji using classic chrome?
You have a beautiful perspective on Istanbul. I feel like some of the images you showed in the video really speaks of the chaotic energy here. Also was nice to see the streets I grew up in being photographed, as if I'm not walking past these "ordinary" scenes every day. Great video!
If It's One Thing This Man Loves...It's Reflections
You Get Some Incredible Reflection Shots
Can't help myself, they're everywhere here!
Some amazing reflection shots too.
I really like how calm and confortable your videos are! All that mood with good soundtrack is very special.
Indeed the best Ricoh gr creator.
The works are incredible . B&w’s just the classic on GR . Love the way you shoot , the composition of picture ,etc. can’t wait to see more !!

The ‘photobomb’ guy is what I love about that photo. Great shots Faizal.
I agree, I like the two guys together. Balances the lighting, fills the full fan of the cracks. Great work!
Watching this was an experience. Beautiful.

I legit look forward to your uploads, and they never disappoint.
Thanks man, that means so much!
Great photos, love the colors
Nice to hear you saying that is one of the Bert camera for street photography. On the first video, you sounded like you did not like it.
The Ricoh GR iii and x are so great
Great work with the Ricoh! I'm really divided between the GR IIIx and the X-E4 as my new camera... Would you do a comparison video, pleeease?
same... if ricoh had video it would be nobrainer)
Solid. I love those reflections. Especially the table top on the street. Well done.
I literally just mine and I can’t wait to shoot - thanks for sharing and inspiring . Sending love from Cape Town South Africa. 😇
It's great that you make such content in my city. :)
04:44 imagine a seagull snapping that camera by its strap and dropping it 😅 That would be sooo Istanbul!
Great images Faisal 🤩
Beautiful stuff as always man. These videos really making me want the X ☠️
Much love Ivan! haha, I mean...I don't see why it would hurt ;)
Love these images - really inspiring. Thank you for sharing!

Your photos and Istanbul look amazing!

Wow! Just wow !!! ❤️
Can you please make a video about your GR III camera settings.
Such lovely shots
These images are insanely good Faizal, the compositions I wouldn’t even see!
I love your work, Faizal. Appreciate it a lot. Thanks!!!

That shattered photo/reflection is sooo goood.. if the guy wasn't photobombing it would be perfect!
Excellent Faizal
Welcome to my city, nice shots! :)
J adore les photos que tu as pris avec cet appareil Rico .👍📸
so cool you got to go with Roman!
These video's are so good, Faizal! Let's go get that 100k subs.
haha, we're creeping up there! crazy..
It's so cool seeing these shots that I saw on instagram again here
Top quality content like always

@faizal westcott what is this?
that was a cool intro....loved it.
Love this athestic! Looking for a cool photograh camera for Street photography. Did you edit any of these photos?
Superbe ambiance 🔥🔥📸 bravo 😊👌
I'm still shooting my X70 waiting on Ricoh to put a flip up screen on their GRIV, so I can finally waist level shoot a better camera.
Great filmmaking skills! This was so pleasing to watch! 🤘🏻
great video. May I ask how you go about the battery life of this camera. and what work around?
Nice reflection shoot.😍❤️
Can't wait to get there. When's best? Maybe October or November? Would be nice to go when sunny but not too hot or cold.
What picture profile did you shoot the image at 4:38 with?
Your videos are so calming❤
And I want a fujifilm x100v 😁

Try Sony RX 100 mark V
Sony rx100 series have electronic viewfinders.
$10 matte screen protector totally solves that problem
@@illdefined really?
The screen is pretty bright. I didn’t had that issue. 😊
Would love to see GM5 and 20mm and this cam or the 3, to see differences. The gm5 and 14mm pancake may be even smaller.
What is that music in beginning, video was great
thankyou about this amazing art !!!
faizel, are your pics straight out of camera? i really love the colours of positive film! i would love to see a video how you have set up your camera. thanks and keep going
No they are edited! I will do a more indepth video on how I've set up the GR IIIx in the future !
I have GRIII and it's the best cam for street coz you can take it everywhere and no one notice you! :)
I hope u use zv1 sony to take some good picture in the future !!!
amazing mate👏👏👏
6.00 is an excellent shot :- )
We're all waiting for the video color grading tutorial West
Love that video! I just got the 100V but I also want the GR IIIx! Did you edit these photos or are they SOOC? Thanks!
i just bought one, is it normal to get warm on the batery area?
Whats the video footage from? Some is clearly gopro but then some is something else?
what is that backpack you're using in the start of the video Faizal?
is anyone aware how to set up highlight metering on fuji cameras? thanks, always love the vibe of your videos!
They dont have a specific setup for this but on any camera you can use exposure compensation minus 2 stops would do the trick on most situation for fast shooting if you have time to set your shot just use spot metering on the highlighted part of your scene and it’s done , it’s nice that it’s automatic on the gr but if you know how to work around your exposure it’s only a gimmick
how your Gopro color looks so great?
Do you know of any way to enable Highlight Metering on a Ricoh GR? or is it only available in the II and III models?
Beautiful work man, well done 👏
Thanks Nuno!
Nice photos man. I find the camera leads to a lot of experimenting with the environment too.
what did you use to film this video?? specially the shots that u talk in
Really good video, loved it! One thing I noticed, it seemed like you shot more portrait shots with this camera, was that something that A) happened, and B) was a result of the new camera and its size/versatility?
i got such temptations to get this camera after watching your reviews/video 😭
welcome to istanbul faizal! if you need help you can ask me anything
Dear Faizal, Can you share non touristic places in Istanbul?
Can someone explain what is highlight metering to me as a beginner?
It mean that when calculating the exposure for you the camera is protecting the highlight so they don’t get overexposed, it helps at the same time getting great deep shadow … if your camera doesn’t have it you can simply use your dial compensation wheel on minis 2 and in most cases it will do the exact same thing …
Great video! What are you using for video? I love the grain and depth!
Are you shooting RAW or JPEG? This is convincing me to go Ricoh instead of X100V.
I love your voice
I think I prefer the 35 mm or 28 mm than 40 mm focal lens for street photography.
If the Ricoh had a built in flash is would totally by my go to camera
I always have a hard time with exposure when shooting at reflections, it's either under exposed or the camera ends up focusing on something else. Have you ever done a video on that?
I'm working on one!
Nice photos, you should check out Brij Trivedi.
what camera u use to take videos ?
Traveling with Roman fox too I believe..?? I follow his channel as well….
Beautiful shots! I was going to say, that cracked glass reflection shot is SO good.
video also gr3x?
Lovely
Newly subscriber here! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I already pm you but i can’t get through!
Hey, Faizal! How do you find A7IV after using an A7S3?
I've been enjoying it a lot more! I got it so I could also take photos with it and it hasn't disappointed! I do find the A7S3 defintely has more dynamic range for video, but it hasn't been too much of a deal breaker for me
@@FaizalWestcott Thanks! Keep up good work!
light is not wasted in your capable hands.
great pics! i want the ricoh so hard right now :D
Welcome to home =)
Is the video shot with the Ricoh?
no, the ricoh is not good AT ALL for videos like this.
Samuel Streetlife’s recommendations are spreading lol
How much is it?
Extraordinary good photos, you were really creative and inspired!
