DUDE HOLY SHITTT!!!! I REALLY LOVE GRIM FANDANGO AND THIS JUST PLEASES ME SO MUCHHH AHH sometimes after a few months i'd check back to see if any amazing content was made for this game whether it'd be from art, to gameplay and such but THIS??? THIS MADE ME SO HAPPY YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!! this is totally the perfect vision of a 2024 remaster.... the details are SO beautiful esp the lighting and i love celso's increasingly anxious shoe tapping... i'm yapping so much but know this made me so happy!
Fun fact: Manny, Glottis, Meche and Salvador are the only characters who appeared in all 4 years of the game. However Salvador didn't really physically appear in years 2 and 3 but his voice was still heard
@@Gonken88 just because a character appeared in all movies, every episode of a TV show or all videogames doesn't necesarily mean they're a main character. For example Snape appeared in all 7 Harry Potter books and all 8 movies but he isn't a main character
This is so incredibly well done. So many little details you captured perfectly! It could honestly be an official re-remaster. Really impressive stuff, I can tell you put a lot of effort into this. It's a crime this doesn't have more attention.
I'll be honest. If I wanted to adapt the game I'd turn it into a movie tetralogy with every movie based on every year of the game. I'd have George Lucas direct the movies and have Michael Giacchino compose the music
The story doesn't make sense. In the beginning of the game the no.9 is just an express way for souls to the next world whereas in the end it's the only way out.
ohh man, por favor continua con este bello trabajo, please te lo pedimos, remasteriza los otros videos de Grim Fandango, de esa forma podremos insertar tus videos en el juego original
@@yespeace thanks, I literally uploaded mine and discovered yours a few days later and was a bit perplexed lol however, I really love that you stayed so true to the original. Keep up the great work!
Well, call me a knocker (why, I AM one! ;-) , but... Yes, "well made, indeed" - all these shadows, textures, lightning, refections and all - but the thing is, video games - and especially THIS TYPE of video games - ARE NOT really about "chasing polygons and textures" - it's all about STORY, and storytelling. This "hyper-realism" is actually killing the experience, if you ask me - it is more of DISTRACTION, rather than "enhancement". There's some "convention" about this type of art we all agree upon - which is, graphics have to REPRESENT certain figures, ideas and styles (and locations), not REPLICATE exactly real-life objects. Too much of details just blur the whole picture - by making it overcrowded. Look at these fancy-schmancy hyper-realistic "WOW!" paintings from '90s and compare them to old masters' paintings - these "painted photos" look kinda cheap in comparison, don't they? Has Bosch or Breugel cared about every shoestring or jacket button? I don't think so. William Turner's "The Tower Of London" is not overly rich in details, innit? But would you say "it's kinda lacking"? Or can you actually see individual leaves/ needles on Bob Ross' tress? Huh? This "improvement" here looks to me like fiddling with fonts and illustrations in a book with some old fairy tales and legends, in vain hope that "it will make the story/ stories better!" - guess what, it won't. Yes, the font has to be legible, and yes, the text on the page has to be set in such a way that it will look "clean and neat" (and will be easy to read), and yes, "some illustrations" are better than "no illustrations", but firstly you do not put them every other page in the story, right? And secondly you don't really make them photo-realistic, do you? Sometimes old-style black and white woodcut print would suit the story better than some colourful "real life" stuff - cuz it's all about "aura" or "ambience", not about counting wolf's teeth - or seeing individual hairs in his coat. In short, all these "details" are merely means, not goals - and by the very nature of the art of storytelling they are secondary, or even sometimes subservient to the story itself. So, yes, congrats - great job, and we are... not amused. Sorry.
Really beautiful stuff. I liked the papermache texture on Celso's face and seeing the cityscape reflected in Manny's monitor.
This is what I was expecting from the re make. Would love to see a version like this!
Thank you. This is how fan-made art should be done. Grit, work and learning new things. No AI, no shit.
holy moly we need this level of detail in a remake of the remake LOL. that lighting and those reflections! brilliant work

Gosh I’d kill to see a film or series of this game made like this. The story is so ripe for it!!! Great job 👏🏻 inspiring me to pick up blender
