Hello from Leicestershire. Bulgaria is a southern country, if you love it and its people, it will thank you with twice as much love.We are glad that you are giving a chance to a country that we Bulgarians define as a paradise, sea, mountains and many other beauties. I hope that when you have time you will get to know a country that has a lot to show.
Sorry guys, in the Balkans you will need to change your Anglo-Saxon mentality....sorry. There are some very good things in BG as well. Not a really bad place, just needs a longer time to be understood. All the very best. We need positive ppl like you to begin the change, really....thanks for learning Bulgarian. Welcome to your new country! Sounds so good haha..now you also learn to read Serbian and Russian to a large extent! Unlocking more Slavic languages....maybe your daughter will become mayor and you giving an example to many people 🙂 amazing and touching video...
Yes, we are open-minded and always trying to think like a local. We love Bulgaria and want to become valuable members of our community. Thank you for your lovely comment 😊💗
I didn’t realise you are close to Popavo. My friend Ellie and Dancho live near there too with her mum Cathy and Dad living around the corner too. They’ve carved out a real nice life. I went to their wedding and fell in love with the place. Such a beautiful part of the world. I’m trying to make it work. 🤞🏻 Great video as always. Thank you. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Yes, you have an amazing hubby! Also, buying used cars in BG is no different (it sounds) than USA. Third party sales are "as is". When I bought my used van, drove it off, as soon as I did the check engine light came on. I spend over $800 USA a year on my vehicle but wouldn't have it any other way...got a deal on it, and it drives like a dream (until it doesn't). Great to see you all! (You're a hot mamma all doled up!---hubby don't be jealous, I'm an old grandma-- What a fun life for the kiddos).
I’m really loving watching you guy’s settling in and how authentic and genuine you are. You are on a beautiful adventure and look so happy and unfazed about moving to a new country. I love how you are embracing the culture and find beauty in everything you do. ❤️
What a lovely comment ☺️ Thank you! We are really happy here and we feel at home already. Life has its stresses, but they are nothing compared to the UK. Thank you for watching and please subscribe if you haven't already! ❤️
You are an unbelievable couple with beautiful little girls. working very hard to make a happy and safe life in that beautiful country. Congratulation. I saw you and how patient you are with your husband, etc. Relax and enjoy the route. God blessed you.🏡🚙
Hi guys, I lived in Polski Senovets, for four years. Me and the ex wife renovated a house from Top to bottom. We did a lot ourselves. Be careful,of the fabrication of your walls and roof, that keep you safe. A lot of Bulgrians sleep downstairs all winter,to keep warm. Stay safe and warm, least the winters are shorter❤
Thank you! Yes, we are lucky to have builders and electricians in the family who have looked at the building etc. Enjoy your winter season and maybe see you when the sun comes out ☺️💕
Battery replacement is a pretty common repair. Can’t exactly say that you’ve been scammed. You bought a pretty budgetary vehicle and you always going to have things to repair. Recently subscribed to the channel. Watching you from USA but born in Bulgaria.
Well, yes to the repairs. I do think that the guy with the batteries was either uniformed or aware that he had run down the batteries. That was our fault for not checking beforehand.
@@jamesbond4981 I feel safer living here than I have ever felt living in the UK. People look after one another here. If you integrate with your community then they will look out for you. We have a police station ten minutes away and we feel very safe in our little village.
It is a difficult language! We've been learning for over a year and only REALLY getting to grips now that we live here. We really enjoy it, but it is hard work!
@@the_phoenixproject yes our language is very difficult especially when the verbs start changing. In our village we have 4 English families and as Bulgarian I was thinking to organize a free Bulgarian course to help them. Unfortunately I m still traveling ( I'm in Holland at the moment) but when I stop I'll do it. You are young you will learn much easier, in our age is different 😁
One piece of advice, friends. Nuts can be broken with your hands, for example, you take two walnuts with one hand and squeeze them hard until one breaks. And you eat without gloves.😀
you can grown everything you want natural in your garden, can plant fruit trees, can look after bees to make honey, this is big difference between here and UK,and if you have few animals can make butter, milk and cheese :)
The walnut scene was so hilarious... - Did you eat it? - Yeah - You might die, it is not from the supermarket! 🤣 Let me tell you as a local. Probably there is some possibility to die after eating a walnut which is grown naturally and it is organic, but eating walnuts from the market... you will die sooner for sure. 😆 Usually the way I break and eat walnuts is by taking two seeds in my right palm and squishing them till one of them breaks and I just take the nuts inside. No instruments needed. 😇
Hi. I am on the cast halfway between Burgas and Varna. Plenty of room to park a camper if you need a seaside break. 🙂 Assuming youu are from the UK? How difficult was it and what grounds did you use to get Dvisa?
@@the_phoenixproject Luckily I have mine by birth. Worth perservering to get them though, just allows the freedom of movement with so much less hassle.
My point was if you are buying from a private seller, there is usually SOMETHING that can be done if you get in a pickle in the UK. We didn't feel like there was much done to keep us protected here, but we are fully aware of that and the risks of buying private. We aren't bashing Bulgarian/EU law, just stating that it's very different for a foreigner 😅🙈 We will do better as we learn the language and understand the ways of life here ❤️

We have tonnes of trees on our land but the rats and mice ate all the walnuts before we arrived 😆🙈

May I ask about that horse with the vagon? Are those Amishes?
No. There are no Amishes in Bulgaria. Those are Roma gypsies.
