- Old Nessebar: A CITY to be TOLD!
👉We returned to Nessebar after 2 years. We had some emotions, but unwarranted: Old Nessebar is as we remembered, full of charm and just as well cared for. We tried to capture on film the charm of this "pearl" of Bulgaria.
👉 Nessebar is a city on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria, located in the province of Burgas. It is one of the oldest cities in Europe, with a history dating back to the time of the Thracians. Nessebar Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved ancient ruins, medieval churches and traditional Bulgarian houses. The city is divided into two parts: the new city, which is a modern seaside resort, and the old city, which is located on a small peninsula and is home to many historical and cultural landmarks. Some of the must-see attractions in Nessebar Old Town include the Church of St. Sophia, the Archaeological Museum, and the Ethnographic Museum.
👉It should also be said that Nesebar is considered one of the great resorts of the Bulgarian coast, hence the name "Pearl of the Black Sea"! Nessebar is a museum city with over three millennia of history. The small town is divided into two parts separated by a narrow man-made isthmus, with the old part of the settlement on the peninsula (formerly an island) and the more modern section (ie hotels, later development) on the mainland.

Wir waren im Oktober in Nessebar es war Fantastisch. Super Wetter tolle Leute.
If weather is good then there is a double advantage :) Meaning the area is less crowded so you can really enjoy the old city. I hope you didn't missed Sozopol which is also fantastic. I am glad you had the chance to visit these nice places.

Yes, it is a nice place to visit. Nice beaches, a unique old architecture and charming streets. I would like to add to this their mountains - which cover a big part of the country - amazing views.

Ich liebe diesen Ort. Ein sehr schönes Video mit tollen Motiven. Wenn in im Sommer wieder dahin komme muss ich unbedingt den Laden mit den Ikonen (15:34) finden. Der ist mir noch nie aufgefallen. LG aus Bonn

You are welcome. A similar town, maybe with more charm, would be Sozopol. About 70Km from Nessebar, closer to the turkish border.

Very sad. You have photographed Chinese and Turkish goods from Ali Express. There are 8 museums (churches) in Nessebar, but you have not entered any of them .. Sad
I visited and I will visit Bulgaria in the future , particular Nessebar, many times. I will keep in my mind your suggestion and maybe I will turn your sadness into happiness. Thank you for your comment.
