So.... Isaac is officially dead, and the corpse in the shop is Isaac's, as Isaac goes through purgatory several times over, in an eternal limbo?! Damn, that's some messed up stuff. I LOVE IT.

Blue Baby (Unlock ???) ending was my favourite just because of the way he smiles at Isaac when he gets up out of the chest.

So from what i understand:
-Issac had a shitty upbringing, which included parents divorcing, possible family abuse and bullying
-The basement shit never happened
-Issac's overactive imagination saw himself as a satanic creature and he imagined his mum wanted to kill him, so he locked himself in his chest.
-He kept himself locked in the chest until he died.
-The blue dead body is issac seeing himself dead.
-The ending with a fetus in a jar is a reference to Doctor fetus from super meat boy and serves no other plot purpose.

Imo, the Delirium ending is really depressing, because then you realize that Isaac has actually died and his finaly dying moments were in a hush fight.

Sooo... His mother never went to kill him with a knife. Isaac has a lot of imagination, probably was mistreated by his mother and certanly was bullied by the other kids.
After soo much shit in his life(including his father leaving him and his mother) he at some point read the bible and get the straight conclusion that there's only good and bad(evil) in life. To only have tasted shit and disgrace(probably thinking that he's guilty for his father abandoning him) he saw himself as evil and decided to lock himself in his toy chest... To never get out.
Before asphyxiating, he probably lived more wild stories in the dungeons, womb, cheol and cathedral. Even there, he was probably thinking in living on, and leave the toy chest, as he was struggling between live(good) and die(evil). Evil, once again came on top and we saw the smiling demon like Isaac in the chest... For the last time. As far as I know, suicide is a fucked up sin, right? Sooo yea, Isaac embraced the "evil" and died by his own will and terms in the chest :(.
His mother... Even mistreating him, she missed Isaac, and went on a crazy search for his son. Never imagining that he shut himself in the chest.
Time passed and she certanly noticed all those flies around the chest...... I guess she griefed his son's demise.
Thanks for reading my thoughts of this indie masterpiece :).
I certanly could cry for Isaac, and his fucked up and dark story :(.

All those endings where Isaac found some new item in the chest, it's him and his imagination, items that are unlocked so you can find it and use it in the next playthrough. So it's not "relevant" for the plot and the tragedy that unfolded.
Sorry, I don't play THe Bindings of Isaac for a good while, but I'm sure it's a item that grants him a new kind of projectile... Ghost tears, maybe?
Thinking about why Isaac put in his eyes is kind of pointless, if you think about the "Hanger" item(and the imense majority of items you can find). Isaac picks it up and it immediately stucks in his head, making him suffer from pain, consequently increasing his tears rate :P.

This game is deep as fuck once you start to actually think what the ending means. Like, it's easily one of the deepest games that I've ever played. This is some Silent Hill 2 level type of deepness.

The truth is all the monsters actually are different ways how Isaac imagined his death and keep thinking he is a demon, but his mom were never tried to kill him.....

That's my interpretation. Issac and his mom's ideas/ideals/delusions are killing him. Issac doesn't want to be Issac, and his mom wants him to be an ideal.

This game was not only fun, but had some comical parts to it and is very deep. 10/10. i'm sad that it had to end.

+Markman Dave there technichally is just one game that constantly gets updated , rebirth is a remake with 3 more endings and alot more replayablilty, and a more stable engine, afterbirth is an expansion (DLC) to rebirth that adds (so far) 2 characters, 150 different items ,and 2-3 more endings

The Game Theorists thought Isaac got in the chest to commit suicide but got out after realizing what death would mean and he ran away from home. Ending 1 is just drawings from Isaac.
But now that Afterbirth's out, it was revealed that Isaac didn't escape and he just suffocated to death in his chest.
He wasn't being reborn.

If you look at the papers in the first ending, you can see that they're issac's papers, and the pencils also belongs to him. But the most important thing is, those papers are in his book, right? So, issac drawing his imaginative world in the toy chest

This game is sick. It is very sad as well. Playing a boy being tortured and tormented is too much. The gameplay is based upon Zelda which is fine. But the design, art and story are not my cup of tea. I just played it for the first time. I do believe the people who made Super Meat Boy made this. That game was good. I'm not saying this game is not good. Just that the setting is disturbing to me.
