    Hi! Thanks a Lot for this vídeo, I'm not skilled with this kind of things but with your explanation it was super easy! I'm a Lot more confortable with the handlebar closer! I watch You from Colombia :)

      That is awesome. Sometimes all it takes a little bit of confidence to try and a nice visual to follow! I am very happy with high windshield, closer bars, grip puppies and the headlight adjustment i did today. Bike is feeling dialed in! :)

    Thank you for this video! My "new"(0 miles/ km) 2021 model already had the handlebars in the most rearwards position. I want it even more rearwards, short arms I guess! Best regards from Sweden. subbed.

    From what I,ve seen the XMAX 300 comes with the bars set in the rear position in Europe. In the states they are located forward.

      Interesting. I wonder if that is because europeans are more cognizant of a proper riding position with your elbows at more of a 90 degree angle? I like the ergonomics of them being in the rear position but I have heard a few people claim the handling is better with them forward putting a little more weight forward. May test the difference.

      @@motohound90 Yamaha has more than one facility manufacturing Xmax's, probably all the ones made for Europe come from the French plant. There are a couple of differences with the Xmax world wide, seats and the centre display, in Europe our centre display is different to the ones sold in America. Me being 6ft3ins I moved my bars forward.

    There are companies that make adapters to allow you to fit a Moto-X style handlebar to the XMax, and get rid of this plastic cover. A Moto-X style handlebar will allow you to fit cup holder and phone mount accessories more easily.

    The clamps at the top have markings too, which you forgot to mention. I suspect that you could have set them wrong.

    did you ever try Using interstate. what's your speed?

    • @motohound90
      @motohound90  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have to get 600 miles on the odometer before I let the engine work hard enough for the interstate. Will have that content available next week but it appears 95 mph is no issue from what I’ve seen/heard.

      I have almost 3000 miles on my Xmax and on a straight flat stretch of the interstate I've hit 93 MPH indicated. The speedo reads +5 MPH so an actual 88 MPH.

      @@motohound90 Break in was a pain in the butt. I stayed off of the Interstate but even at the 50 MPH speed limit on the local highways it was a pain. After the first couple of hundred miles I started rolling throttle up to the speed limit at 4500 or so RPMs and then rolling back off. Up and down, up and down, fast and slow, fast and slow. By the way, thanks for a great video, I've been thinking of doing this mod too.

      @@kevinwilkinson1510 you’re very welcome. I am happy with the handlebars closer to me. It’s so hard to upgrade to a bigger bike and then have to ride 20 mph slower for hours on end. Haha
