- The Wandering Village is an Early Access Game by the Swiss studio Stray Fawn Studio and it has quite something to offer! Today, I answer the beast's call to build my own village!
Steam: store.steampowered.com/app/11...
In a world where mysterious plants are spreading all over the earth, emitting toxic spores as they grow, a small group of survivors seeks shelter on the back of a giant, wandering creature they call 'Onbu'.
Become their leader, build their settlement and form a symbiotic relationship with Onbu to survive together in this hostile, yet beautiful post-apocalyptic world. A functioning village is the basis of your survival. Build your settlement and expand it over Onbu’s back. Plan production chains and optimise them to utilise the limited space as efficiently as possible. Create a society that can overcome any challenge.

Onbu is love, Onbu is life!
Looks like a cool game
@@SirSquier it is!!!
@@droggy23 I'll have to play it sometime
Can you do more
Onbu is best boy
Now next logical step is make a total conversion mod inspired by this for CK3. Moving Onbu and all. But now with intrigue.
The crusades would be a whole lot more one sided if the Pope rode into Jerusalem on an Onbu...
@@caad5258 they wouldn’t need to pay the Venetians a fortune for ships too
@@LordHogWaterer meaning they might *ACTUALLY ARRIVE IN JERUSALEM* this time?!? (0_0)
i tihnk Orbu is a homosexual
Such inspiration from Nusica, always reminds me of Myazaki's original movies.
This is art style is so cute! I'll have to check it out
Fancy seeing you here
Thank you OPB!
this is super cute! I'm glad i gave it a chance, looking forward to another go at it :D
Thanks your highness!
There's a Russian fairytale where there is a village built on the back of a magical whale/leviathan (чудо-юдо рыба-кит), this game always reminds me of it. Maybe other nations have similar stories too but I could never find them
In that fairytale how does that society survive when the animal goes underwater?
@@placeholdername3818 It doesn't, the whale was punished for swallowing three dozen ships and couldn't move, the people living on him were hurting him. When he heard why he was punished by god, he set the ships free and the people living in the village fled before he was set free. You can google little humpbacked horse and read it, or just chudo-yudo whale fish for pictures
I know one mythos believes the world is a flat bowl which is is held aloft by twin elephants which in turn are held on top of a giant turtle.
@@leephilips5781 Isn't that from the comic book Discworld by Terry Pratchett?
That hit layout was clutch, thanks bro !
I like the aesthetic of that game :)
Didn't expect to see you playing Colony Sims. Glad to see it!
lol nearing 365 days on my current playthrough, idk if it ends after that but I hope it doesnt because my colony is thriving. Finally removing my berry gatherers for bread
Such a great game
Merci Vielmal, OPB!
very cool
Giant lion turtle village sim… sign me up
nice
You don’t need any dirt road👍
I think they make people move faster.
i would do anything for onbu
✌
I played it and I was pretty good for a city builder game but after a certain point the big creature kept shaking and destroying my buildings and I couldn't keep up then he was going in toxic clouds and not running when I commanded him too
Should feed him, that means he doesn't trust you.
@@KingOfTheKindle thanks I played more and at the time I didn't have anything to build trust I also thought his spikes were just big rocks so that's how it got so low in the beginning

The German in you is happy? So there’s a German within a German? Sounds prettttyyyy German to me
Somebody from outside germany might not know that bavaria is only semi-german. ;)
@@sizanogreen9900 ahhhh, so the German in the semi-German! Lol now I’ve gotta learn more about Bavaria!
@@DaFloove Tbh. the Bavarians not actually being "real" germans is mostly a thing the rest of germany says about them. On the one side because of their strong regional identity, the funky name bavaria has (Freistaat Bayerin = Free state Bavaria), as well as their somewhat different politics and percieved "weird culture". In some ways they and the Austrians *are* a bit more similar to each other than they are to other german cultures.
Edit: And their dialiect.
@@sizanogreen9900 that’s super interesting and that makes sense! German history is something I shamefully know little about - this is inspiring me to take a closer look! Just started making weird CK3 videos recently. I’ll have to plan a German or HRE series and study up on the history too
@@DaFloove As much as I encourage you to learn about our history as there is a lot of neat and fascinating stuff there (especially if you look into pre-modern times), I want to discourage you to do a series in germany just yet. Ck3 has awfully little flavor in that area in my opinion. I'd hold of until they release an DLC centered on the HRE or something.
Your argument about humans being happy just by being alive, seems to contradict 2000++ years of human history. They don't like being enslaved, they don't even like that their children seems to have worse lives than them. Quality of Life is pretty much 99,99999% of the reason anything happen in the world.
