    I have my new Bantam MGL on the 2022 Expride 7' 6" heavy. Man what a pleasure to fish with and the combo is so powerful. 👌

    Thank's for the informative video Patrick. Question: What gear ratio would you recommend for 1/2 oz. Spinnerbaits and will it have more torque than the 2020 Met. Hg for that purpose? Thank's

      You will definitely feel less winding resistance. The retrieve is going to be smoother.
      I would recommend a HG 7.2:1

      @@patrickzajdel Thank's a lot Patrick; appreciate the help. I just ordered the 23 Met. but the Bantam HG will be the next reel on my list.

    I combined the new bantam with the Kistler Helium. Very smooth and powerful combination

    What is a 4x4 baitcasting reel Patrick? Great video!

      @patrickzajdel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s the best way to describe the reel using a real world example. The Bantam is essentially built to handle the thickest of vegetation and cover.

    Hello I’m a rookie to fishing! I was just wondering why people that go on a lake take like 10 rods and reels? Can’t you just cut the line and tie a new jig? Thanks!!

      Different rods are better for certain lures

    • @patrickzajdel
      @patrickzajdel  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Like Emil said, different rods with different powers and actions are better for different techniques. Similar to rods, reels spooled with different line such as Braid, Fluorocarbon, etc., in different pound test are better for different techniques.
      It can be compared to golf, you don't go golfing with a single club 😉

    Have you tried any loomis rods ?

    • @patrickzajdel
      @patrickzajdel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I have! I primarily use the Exprides from Shimano but have a few IMX Pro and NRX+ G. Loomis in the mix as well!

      @@patrickzajdel Thanks its a complete accident i found your channel but im glad i did because i like your videos, i just one my first tournament can you recommend some good 250 dollar rods? Thanks!

    • @patrickzajdel
      @patrickzajdel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tnbassmaster Thanks! Really appreciate that.
      You should take a look at the Zodias ($209-$249 USD) series of rods, those have always impressed me and have been some of the best rods for the money on the market. They have some great models in both spinning and casting.
      For certain applications it may be worth spending the extra money for the Exprides ($279-$299 USD) however.
      If you’re on Instagram, shoot me a message there and we can chat through some specific models!

      The higher priced reels aren’t for everyone but there are a ton of great offerings in the lower price range as well 👍
